IT went well. No problems.

Everything went well. They were professional and on time.

They swept and inspected our unmaintained leaking chimney . John did an excellent job of writing up the estimates to fix the existing chimney or install a wood burning insert. Our chimney leaked badly, we had, had a chimney fire, (per our neighbor), who verified what John had already told us. Our damper was broken off and held together with a clamp. He had complete details including pictures of the damage to the chimney. After John asked us what we we use the fireplace for, (heat or a great big pretty fire), he gave us options, and explained that we could fix the chimney or install a wood burning insert. We want the fireplace mostly for heat. John showed us pictures of different inserts and left pamphlets with us. We took a couple of days and then decided to go with the wood burning Insert. John did an awesome job of fixing the water leak issues among other cracked mortar issues. My husband could explain this better, but I wanted the review to get done this year. So, anyway, he did a lot of work! Our wood burning insert is beautiful. It solved all of the problems we were having with smoke etc.. If you look at the outside of the chimney, you can see the beautiful work John and Chris completed. The pictures taken from the top of the chimney looking down into the fireplace look great too John and Chris were both very professional, clean and courteous. They did an excellent job and I would hire them or refer them again in a second!

Arrived on time and left the house clean. Provided information on the parts of the fireplace that needed replaced.

Frankly, we thought that their estimate was a bit high. When we had another company come in to take a look, they said that some of the things we were told needed to be replaced would be good for another couple of years. Their estimate was also half the price. However, they did do a nice job with the chimney sweep.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. They were on time. Everything was clean and they didn't leave a mess when they were done. They provided me detailed information on their findings. They offered me options and some information I asked about for upgrading.

Excellent service. Took their time. Very clean. Not excited that he told me not to use my 123 y.o. fireplace because of a piece of wood behind the mantle... It's been there as long as the house has... it hasn't gone up in flames yet, but it could. Bummer. But I got information.

It turned out good. This is the first time I used them. They came out on time and they were fine. I would use them again in the future.

My initial appointment had to be rescheduled due to heavy rain that morning (an understandable issue). Ashbusters was very pleasant to deal with over the phone and working with my schedule. The day of the appointment they arrived within ten minutes of their scheduled time. I thought that the employee was pleasurable to deal with and talk to. He was very professional. All in all it was about two and half hours that they were at my house. The refractory panel was not cheap ($250), however, the pain to try and do it myself was well worth having Ashbusters do it for me. We have lived in our house for seven years and were noticing that we needed to run the dryer two to three times to get loads to fully dry. After we had Ashbusters clean out our dryer vent we noticed an immediate difference. Loads are only taking one cycle to fully dry! All in all I would use this company again and do recommend them for future use.

This was the second time we have used Ashbusters. Everyone has been polite and professional. We will be using them again for our chimney cap replacement.

We haven't used the fireplace in several years and decided to have it inspected, cleaned and capped for use next winter. I called Ashbusters Chimney Service as I found the reviews on Angies List very helpful and informative. John came to the house next day and did the ispection. He was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. The interior of the chimney was cleaned (without any mess :) ) and pictures of the chimneys interior were taken and shown to me with indepth explainations and recommendations. Imagine my suprise when I saw moss growing inside the chimney! More concerning were mortar joints between flue liners were missing. I followed Johns recommendations and had most of the repairs completed that week by John. I also discussed with John installing a woodburning fireplace insert vs relining the chimney (something I've been thinking about each winter for the past few years). He came back later that day and provided me with the info. I'd reqested. I will definately use Ashbusters again and will recommend them to others.

They did a great job. Came in prepared with the appropriate size cap even though I only called for an estimate. He had it installed in not time flat! He was very courteous. I will be calling them back to clean and inspect the fireplace at a later date.

Based upon Angies List, we called them -- scheduled an estimate, agreed the work and executed the project. The team was prompt, timely, and professional. We are pleased with the service.

It went very well. I received a competitive estimate and the gentleman explained everything that I needed done in detail, what the outcome would be, and the warranties. Communication with the company was great. The company representative arrived exactly when he said he would. He did all the work from the estimate and took photos of it so I could see everything that he did even if it wasn't visible from the ground. The area around the chimney was exactly as it was when he arrived. It hasn't rained inside since and we've had some pretty big rainstorms that before would have filled a large plastic bucket. The work was done expertly as far as I can tell, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing chimney work.

I bought an Angie's List deal for a chimney sweep/inspection from Ashbusters. We bought our house about 6 months ago, and had never had the fireplace inspected (or had we used it), so we had no idea what kind of shape it was in. Our house is over 70 years old. Our appointment was scheduled within a one-hour window, and our technician arrived on time. He was extremely polite and professional, took care to protect our belongings from the chimney debris, and worked efficiently but thoroughly. He checked the chimney via the roof as well as the fireplace. I told him we were interested in keeping the fireplace wood-burning, if possible, and he gave us an estimate to repair the chimney for that use, plus an estimate to convert to gas, because he said it would be considerably cheaper. He also told us our options for keeping the fireplace sealed but nonworking. We will definitely be contacting the company when we decide which option we'd like to take. The estimates given seemed entirely reasonable for the type of work that has to be done, and the cost for the cleaning was well worth it. [We ended up hiring Ashbusters a little while later to seal the fireplace (so it can't be used), because it was the most affordable and best option for us at this time. We also got it waterproofed. Our technician arrived on time and completed the work quickly. I would highly recommend their services.]
