The guys were very good when they got here and they did what we hired them for. They were supposed to call us back and schedule a time to come in for a follow up appointment to do some more work for us and they never called us back. If they don't call us back I probably wouldn't be using them again.

Ashbuster's performed a chimney examination and chimney sweeping. They let us know that we needed to replace a part of the chimney cap and gave us a good quote on the replacement process. Would happily use them again.

They were very professional and arrived when they said they would. They showed me pictures of the problems with the seal on the top of the chimney. They answered my questions and provided me with an estimate for the repairs.

Chimney inspection identified $1500 of necessary repairs and I was told the chimney was dangerous. After stating I couldn't afford that much work, $400 was knocked off the price. A second opinion from a recommended vendor revealed that only one item ($49) was a critical repair and that the chimney was not unsafe.

Everything went well. They seemed knowledgeable and I liked I did have to pay an arm and a leg for the service. Scheduling went well and easy. There were two technicians that came out to do the work and they were very quick on the job. I am satsfied with what they did.

Well, the guy did a good job - but I really expected more. It took less than 30 minutes, he cleaned the fireplace well, ran a brush a few feet up the chimney, checked the top of the chimney which I was told needs work, and he left. But there were a few problems - I purchased the service in mid-October, but they were swamped and could not get it done until late November. Also, Angie's List never sent me the voucher, so there was confusion about whether or not I had paid. I'm not happy with Angie's List, and I d*** near burned my hand off when I hurriedly opened the flue (which I never close - but the sweep did) as smoke poured into my house when I had a fire last week... Next time, I'll do it myself and save the $100...

Arrived on time (early even). Very professional. Told me what I needed, what could wait. Have not yet gotten back to me with a quote yet, though.

Installed a new Damper including a cover that keeps birds from building nests at top of chimney.

They did fine. They were on time. They did everything they were supposed to do. They also checked the blower and cleaned out underneath, which was not in the bid and didn't charge extra for it.

Excellent service! Had to do some major repairs and this company was competitive in price, responsive in scheduling, diligent in cleaning up and courteous.

This company is a complete rip off. We bought an older home and wanted to check to see if the fireplace was useable. Bought the coupon on Angie's List. They came out and inspected the chimney stayed 15 mins and told us we needed over $3000 worth of repairs. We called another Angie's List service for an estimate. He charged us $40 and told us it was fine. Recommended some minimal work we could do ourselves. When we told him another company gave us a$3200 estimate he said "I bet I can tell you what company. Ashbusters". He showed us a stack of estimates he had collected from other customers who had received estimate from Ashbusters. Interestingly they were almost exactly the same, too the penny, as the one we got. Get a second estimate before you have them do any repairs!

Everyone from the dispatcher scheduling the services to the actual work performed were professional in every way. Would definitely recommend them and plan to use their services in the future

My dryer blew its thermal fuse again after replacing it and testing all the other components. Last thing it could be was my dryer vent line (from dryer to the outside of the house) was clogged. I had a groupon for another company, but they did not have availability for over a month, plus their customer service was not friendly. So I looked up companies on Angie's list. Ashbusters came up with good reviews, so I gave them a call. Customer service was excellent. They had an opening in two weeks. I received a reminder phone call and a follow up phone call afterward which is good. The gentlemen arrived in the window they were supposed to (between 4:30 and 5:30 pm). They got right to work and were done in less than 30 minutes. They were professional. They wanted to test the dryer and make sure everything was good, but my dryer was still dead (waiting on the part to arrive). The only issue I had was the price. $149 for this service. But I needed it done quickly and the customer service (and Angie's List reviews) were what sold me. The service doesn't take long and doesn't seem that complicated, so I recommend shopping around. Ashbusters did provide great service all the way around though.

They chimney sweep was fine. They were very responsive and gave a great evaluation of what was going on with the chimney itself.

It worked out fine. They're very polite and they came on time. There was not a problem. I actually appreciated that they did not try to tell me that the fireplace needed to be cleaned when it did not. He was very forthcoming about that. He asked if I have anything else needed done and I had in mind about having the dryer vent cleaned if he would do that and he did.

Very well. No pressure, well mannered workers. This was a newly renovated townhouse that I'm renting, and I wanted to be sure it would be safe for a renter.

Okay. Everything worked out just fine.

John, the owner at Ash Busters came out exactly on time with an assistant. They looked over all the fireplaces - one at a time using sophisticated electronic video cameras and other tools. They were able to write up a report, but actually gave the new owners a complete rundown of which fireplaces could be used and what repairs would be needed. John was very knowledgeable in the historical significance of the fireplaces, and gave the new owners confidence of what needed to be done. My clients were VERY pleased with John's efforts, and especially his knowledge of the 18th and 19th Century fireplaces and mantels. I plan to use John and his company for my fireplace needs on my own home, and also recommend his company to any of my clients that have fireplace issues with their homes.

On time, highly professional, worked quickly but not hastily, extremely thorough cleaning and inspection, spotless cleanup, informative and responsive to questions. Will definitely use again on routine basis.

This is a branch of the main business that is based in Tennessee, where the support is still located. Excellent service. The scheduling was prompt and curteous. John and a co-worker showed up on time and did a thorough job. Everything was explained and the place was left as clean as it was before the service. The next day there was a follow-up call from the office for feedback. Overall a great experience. Highly recommended. We will schedule a dryer vent duct cleaning, too.

The chimney was nicely cleaned. The inspection turned up a structural crack that they determined was unsafe for future fires. The technician suggested switching to a natural gas fireplace and said he would provide a quote. I never received a quote to convert to gas.

Prompt and professional. I would recommend them again.
