Recently I contracted Reeves Construction to replace the roof on my Mother’s house due to hail damage. I read the reviews and spoke with David Stilwell about them. He explained how the crack had occurred in their workforce, but assured me it had been taken care of. One bad apple can affect the entire bunch, and unfortunately Reeves incurred damage to their reputation. I understood what had happen and decided to hire them. I had the roof inspected after they completed the job, and the inspector said they did a GREAT JOB. The roof passed the inspection with flying colors. I understand this is not normal but the inspector was kind enough to come back and do the inspection under the circumstances. David Stilwell was wonderful during the entire process and it was such a pleasure working with him. I couldn’t be happier with the job they did and would not hesitate to recommend them. In fact they will be replacing my roof when it is time.

They were terrible about saying they would show up, and did not! Wouldn't answer phones and confirm when they would be at our home. Now, after 7 months later they claim we owe them money! Told them to take it up with Ins. Co. Now they are harassing us. coming to our door..had to call police on them before the man John R. would leave. Now they are calling our phones saying we owe them more money, but never say how much? Beware of this Company! We paid them all the checks from our Ins. company and they didn't even finish the work they were suppose to do.

they were suppose to come out three times and never showed up sales person was called and he was going to find out what was going on, he never called back, 2 days later at 6:45 am a van full of Mexicans, a truck with a trailer showed up to do the roof, they started to throw the roofing on my rose bushes, when they saw me taking pictures they came down and cleaned them off and covered them. I sent the pictures to my sales rep but he never responded back. I watched them as they did the roof and they never put the flashing on, I saw that in the back of the truck with the trailer shortly after they started to work, I noticed some of the packs of shingles that were on he ground were different colors, I asked one of the guys on the roof if they were all the same colors, he had no clue what i said, his reply was a big smile shaking his head and saying c,guess he didn't know English, I asked another one and he spoke in Mexican to one of them and he yelled yes, no one looked at them to see if they were. They had ripped some of the wood of the roof and just covered it with roofing paper and shingled over it and nailed the shingles to the paper. I had called and no one showed up to look at it. I called and spoke to the owner and he was upset and confirmed someone would be there, but no one showed up and it took numerous phone calls and finally the production manger came to see it, after trying to make excuses for everything he agreed they screwed up, and he would call me in the morning to let me know when someone would be there, a week later I called him and he said he would have someone there Fri morning and he would call me to let me know when some one is coming, thrus night we were eating supper time and his head Mexican showed up to fix the roof, he looked at and asked me if I had any scrape wood so he could fix it. These are only some of the things that went on. They sent the completion form to the Insurance Company and told them everything was done per the claim, There was over 1300 dollars worth of work not done, which I took of the check, I had to call the sales rep and tell him when they were done, no one had ever come to inspect the job to make sure I was happy with the work, they had in there contract they replace the drip edge in white, they did not do it and said the code changed and they didnt have to do it by code anymore, This is the most Mickey Mouse company I have ever dealt with, very unprofessional, sloppy work, no communication. I would not recommend this company to put a roof on my worst enemies dog house.

I contracted with Reeves Construction late November 2016 after a tornado damaged my home. Other homes in my cul de sac were damaged far worse than mine, so I was patient when work didn't immediately begin. My roof was finally replaced on 1/26/17 and, although the work was satisfactory, the debris clean up was less than desirable. Many nails and razors were left in my yard and my requests for them to roll it again with the magnet roller went unheeded. I eventually borrowed my neighbor's and did it myself after my son stepped on a roofing nail. Window replacement began on 3/2/17 and as of today, 4/4/17, not all have been completed even though measurements were taken for possible supplement requests for insurance. The debris and broken windows remained in my front yard for 21 days until I informed them that Greenville County Police and Code Enforcement had been summoned. I have also repeatedly called Reeves Construction to discuss the unresolved issues without any success. Only after blasting them on their social media page did I finally get a response from Donna. When I asked why my requests for invoices had been repeatedly been ignored her response was that they had sent invoices to both me and my son. My sons are 16 and 19, so that was an untruth. Communication, accountability, and integrity are all suspect with this company. I will never contract with them again nor suggest them to anyone.

Reeves crew replaced my roof on 5/29-30/2016 and left some contractually included work associated the chimney camp and adjacent wood trim on the roof undone. The crew damaged back gutters, gutter screens, sections of vinyl siding and wood trim. Aware of their high level of activity and the high outside temp during this time I avoided making my first call to complain until 6/3. After un answered or return calls made on 7/5, 7/6, I did finally talk with Donna who agreed, at my insistence, to send Ernie out to look at the damage. I waited for a response, after resending photos of the damage that I originally sent to Robert in early June. I called again and talked with Donna who apparently had taken no action, promised me that she would talk with "the right person" and get back with me by end of the day (on 8/16). I have attempted to talk with Donna on 8/16, 8/18/8/19 and either the phone is un answered or reception answers and Donna is always busy but will call me back ;-) I've just tried again today, 8/22 and calls to Donna (the main number 864 574 1290) go directly into answering machine--message box is full.......I just want my home back in the condition it was before this reckless roofing crew visited my home and the work agreed by ReevesConstruction is completed. CUSTOMERS BEWARE OF THIS CONTRACTOR--THEY APPEAR TO, AT BEST, TO HAVE PROBLEMS, AT WORST THEY MIGHT BE __________ -- you fill in the blank! Robert Day, 864 878 1040

. Roof repairs were satisfactory and done within a couple of weeks of insurance approval, interior repairs and painting dragged on for many months before completion and proved unsatisfactory so we had to have interior repairs and painting redone by another contractor. Management was difficult to work with.

Description of Work: We had possible damage from a tree that had "brushed" the top of our house when it fell in a wind/hail storm in the summer of 2013. Reeves man, Jamin (sp) came out and checked the entire roof after our insurance adjuster had been out and said there was just scuffs from the tree. Reeves contradicted what was found by the adjuster. Stated there was damage to the entire roof from hail and was adamant about it. Insurance sent a different adjuster to |get on roof...the storm had not caused damage but damage was there from faulty work of a roofer we used several years ago. When that was turned in to our insurance, our insurance was going to cancel our homeowner's policy. Reeves was supposed to come back and give us a quote to do repair work on the shoddy work from a few years back but never showed. We allowed Reeves to put a sign in our front yard, which was there for at least two months...they were to give us $250 break for placing it there. The sign is in a storage building on our property now. We were told of Garrett Roofing by someone at the church we attend. Garrett came out, when he said he would, assessed the entire roof, made an appt to do the work, showed up when he said he would, completed the work and gave us a letter to clear up our problems with our insurance stating the repairs had been made and that our roof was "good" for at least another 10-12 years. Will NEVER recommend Reeves ... but would readily and whole-heartedly recommend Garrett Roofing!

Reeve’s was replacing my neighbor’s roof back in the Fall of 2012. Ken Reeve’s Jr. who was running the install came over to our house and asked if we wanted him to look at our roof. We did, and an insurance claim was placed, approved and a new roof was scheduled for install. The roof was completed in Dec. of 2012. At this point, all was good. However, there were early signs, as we could never get them to send us a copy of our roof warranty even after repeated requests. Within the first year, after a heavy period of rain we noticed some staining caused by water leakage. We called Reeve’s and a technician was sent out. We were told it was an isolated incident and not due to leakage in the roof – something to do with the heavy amount or rain. We requested, Ken Jr. come out to view and discuss with us. Ultimately Mr. Reeve’s (Ken Sr.), came to our house to review the situation. We were given the same story, and our mistake was we settled for the explanation. The staining was visible, but it was something I felt I could paint and cover. By the way, the warranty was finally sent to us in November of 2014. Fast forward to December of 2014 - with the heavy and constant rains this Fall/Winter, the situation re-occurred and got much worse. I called Reeve’s 2-3 time right before Christmas but no one returned our calls. I e-mailed them right after Christmas (from their website) and actually heard back from Ken Jr. Conveniently, we were told that the warranty ran out earlier that month and that they had no record I called and left messages. I questioned this and reminded them that they had been to our house for the same issue within the first year. I wanted him to come out and meet with us and view the problem again. Immediately, I received an e-mail from Ken Sr. that he would handle the account from that point on. From this point, late December to the end of February I have not been able to get anyone from Reeve’s to come and meet with me to discuss the situation. Their stance is it is out of warranty. My position is they came out and witnessed the situation while in warranty. A warranty it took almost 2-years to receive. Maybe even more frustrating, is the lack of total common courtesy and service. Even if you have no intention of fixing the problem, even if I was wrong (which I am not). To all but refuse to meet with a former customer, to reply to e-mails and voice mails and not show up to schedule meeting, really confuses me. In an industry where, referrals must be very important, it seems an odd way to do business. In my experience, I caution anyone who is considering Reeve’s to consider it long and hard. Good up front, but not someone you will want to have to contact if a problem arises. I can document much of what went on, and there position for anyone who might be interested.

I asked him to let me know when he thought I needed a new roof and he told me probably not for another 4-5 years. I appreciated his honesty and that he didn't try to upsell me. I called other roofers before to get estimates and other roofers did not want to do the work since it was not a full replacement. Other roofers told me they would call me back after coming out and never called me back. He even sent me an email after the project was done with before and after pictures which I really appreciated. He was very punctual and would call me back when he said he would. The owner even came out to evaluate the work that his workers were doing.

They were very easy to deal with and worked with my insurance company to find acceptable pricing. Mike explained the process from the estimate through final payment clearly and I felt they were up front and professional. The crew started at 7AM and were done by early afternoon with everything cleaned up. I really don't know how the pricing is in comparison, but my insurance covered it, so I guess it's at least around average. It's only been a month, so I can't really remark on the quality yet, but it seems to be good. I'd definitely consider contacting them for any future roofing needs.

They were so good that I kept the sign outside my house for awhile. They came to tell me what they would do and how much it would cost, then they came and did the work, and then they cleaned up after themselves. The only thing I found was a little piece of tarp that was only about 2 inches by 3 inches. That is very good for roof work! Everything was just great.
