He started out really well, with getting the foundation done and the following procedures went well until I found that the fireplace that was supposed to be in exactly center of the back wall was off about six inches from center, a definately noticeable difference. Then, he had to change the foundation and ,by the way, the house is built on a slab foundation, so to change the already poured foundation for the fireplace was no easy chore. Then everything seemed to go downhill from there, from getting the floor level, which he didn't get level, to the painter having to repaint walls several times to get rid of what looked like water streaks. Then as he came for the draws on the money, he never brought the real receipts as we were in agreement that he would do, instead, he brought the written invoice from his own office which he had already added his fee. So,therefore, I never knew exactly what I was paying for. All I can say is if you are looking for a contractor that tells you the truth about how you are going to be kept informed about your job, this is not the one!! This is just a small amount of things that didn't go right on this job. One other big thing that had to be redone was a concrete pad that was poured behind my new room. It was holding water right at the house, plus had a hole in one end where the guy he hired to do the pad broke a root to a birch tree and didn't take out the root,so if anybody wants anything done by this contractor, I suggest strongly that they rethink their situation and use someone else.
Description of Work: He built a new room on my existing home. He explained that he would make three draws on the money and he would bring receipts for me to see before I paid each draw. He also said he would get his percentage at the end. He ended up getting three draws before he finished the job and "letting" me keep 10 percent til he finished, which by the way, we had to keep calling and calling til we got an answer to when he would finish, and he still didn't live up to his word on that until a lawyer was mentioned and we had to have a "heart to heart" conversation with him. This job was supposed to take 3 or 4 months, it took 5.
