Fox Heating And Air Conditioning

I have been using them for several years now. They are always pretty honest about my unit and do not result to replacing units before trying to fix the issue first. I felt the most recent time they installed a cheaper thermostat which I was not happy about. Sometimes, they are a little hard to get a hold of to get something scheduled.

,A disaster! Took our deposit, never came back, didn't return phone calls, when finally reached he said "we don't do home garage doors". AFTER 12 DAYS!

The original installation went well and we were pleased with the unit during the A/C season. Did not have problems until we used the heat the next fall. The unit has a defrost cycle that makes an awful noise when it is operating. Jim came out several times since the installation to check out the unit but the final word was that the noise was normal. He suggested moving the unit so we would not notice the noise as much. He did not inform us that this would void our warranty. The noise continues this year. We have been trying to contact him for the last couple of weeks, but he will not call us back. The unit sends up clouds of smoke/condensation when it comes back on after the defrost cycle. I called the manufacturer last week to report the problem with the unit and to find another person to service the unit. While talking to the customer service person. I was told the warranty had been voided by moving the unit. The customer service rep called Jim Fox while I was on hold. He told her he would call us when he left the current customer's home. Never heard from him. So...we now have a heater that sounds like an elephant trumpeting when the unit is defrosting, no warranty on our unit and an installer who will not return our calls. We spent $4000 with this company for our new unit and want the company to make this right.
