 + -1 moreThey cleaned out the dryer vent that was apparently in desperate need for it. I was always running my laundry in the dryer through two cycles, thinking it was just because it was an old dryer. Someone suggested I have the vent cleaned out so I took advantage of the Angie's List deal that Ductz offered. It didn't take long for them to complete the job. For a small extra fee they changed the duct cover on the outside to prevent birds from coming in to nest. (They had found an unoccupied nest in the duct!)

I ended up calling the provider directly to follow up since I had not heard from him. After that though everything went perfect. They came out the next day and completed my service request.

Performed a great cleaning service and even pointed out a hazard within our hvac unit that might have cause damage to the system - many thanks! Our only minor thoughts were that the service is a bit pricey; but there is some heavy equipment required to create the negative air in the system, so maybe that drives up the cost to the homeowner. The other minor thing was one vent cover was reinstalled upside down in the basement but no big deal the correct.

 + -1 moreThe process for me was worth it. It seems a bit pricey, but I do not have anything to compare it to. My sister said she had this process done back in the 80's in Atlanta and she thought it was around $350 back then.
Description of Work: The service person showed up on time as arranged. He was pleasant but professional and asked to see the attic space and the location of the returns. Once he surveyed those areas, he set up this extremely large coil to the downstairs return and attached a machine consisting of several setions to the coil. He told me the sound would be very noisy and it was. Then for about 2 1/2 hrs. the machine sucked out dust. When he disengaged the machine, I saw a large amount of dust in the container. After turning on the unit a few days later due to colder temps, I found that my allergies were not as affected as they had been during the winter months. I had moved into an 8 year old townhouse earlier in the fall which had never undergone this process, noticed dust settlling on my furniture whenever it was turned on and that my nose ran more and my eyes would water. This treatment along with the installation of an Air Bear Filter (a filterless system with humidifier) has made it possible to stop taking allergy meds when my system is running. A few days after my ducts were cleaned, I received a nice thank you card in the mail from the owner. I plan to repeat this process every couple of years, especially since I have allergies.

 + 1 moreMy company uses Ductz 2-3 times a month. They are professional, on time, and provide a high level of service for the price. They are the industry experts. Ductz has cleaned my home and homes of my family...everyone was very happy...including my mother who is very hard to please. We have looked at lot of duct cleaners who say they do the same thing as Ductz..but once you compare apples to apples they were not even close to what Ductz did in the homes and businesses.

 + 0 moreMost air duct cleaners have a glorified shop vac with a brush...Ductz has state of the science equipment that insures the ducts are pristine when they leave. Thanks Karl for always taking great care of our customers.
Description of Work: We use Karl and Ductz of Spartanburg a couple times a month to clean air ducts and dryer vents after fire losses and sometimes after water and mold jobs. They have the most up to date equipment and training of anyone and that is why they are the industry leader. Karl and his team provide a great service at a fair price and once you understand the difference in level of cleaning you would never use anyone else.
