Please read the recent reviews prior to using this company for your real estate needs especially if you are a out of area buyer. This is the worst real estate company period. Their agents do not take the time to get to know your or explain the contract that they put in front of you. If a deal goes bad you are the one left holding the bag with thousand of dollars out the door. From the agent to the broker they do not care about your family's best interests or making things right. Do yourself a favor and go with another brokerage firm. It will save you time, money and heartbreak.

I wanted to write this review so that future buyers don’t go through the same thing that we did. We are a military family moving from Maryland to Greenville, SC. I was referred to Better Homes and Garden through my insurance company USAA. Better Homes and Garden selected Angela to be our agent (she was our representative only). I flew into Greenville in December 2015 to find a home for my family. Initially, Angela was very responsive and was helpful with assisting us in finding an area and place to live. We put an offer on a home that was off Augusta Rd for asking price. Our closing date was scheduled on Feb 19th. There was no negotiation and that was fine with us as we thought the price for the home was fair and also we asked the seller to pay for any significant issues with the home after the inspection. After the home inspection, we did find some problems with the home with regards to rotting wood. I was still living in MD so I asked Angela to recommend a handy man in the area to repair the rotted wood on our home. She told me that her handy man would do the repairs. I then asked her at what point do we do our final walk through to ensure that all repairs were complete. She told me that we didn’t need to do a final walk through since it was her handyman doing the repairs, she would be able to verify that the work was done. That seemed fair to me as I was flying in the night prior to closing was not able to take off a significant amount of time off due to a military commitment. Two weeks prior to the closing, I found out from our mortgage broker that our closing date was Feb 22 not the 19th. He also informed me that he had informed Angela two weeks prior. Angela did not inform us (her clients) but did inform the seller. The seller scheduled her moved for Feb 22nd due to the schedule change two weeks prior. I scheduled my travel plans based on the old date and I could not change my travel dates as I had military commitments the week Feb 22nd and it was far too late to change those plans. Therefore, my husband and I had to sign an addendum page to allow the seller to stay in our house after the closing date if we wanted to close on the 19th. I was very frustrated as I started to feel like Angela was not working in our best interest. A final walk through inspection was never done and we realized after we moved in that was a huge mistake. However, we trusted our real estate agent and her guidance and advice. After we moved in the house and saw that her handyman did some pretty terrible work, we started to question Angela’s motives. While her handyman replaced some of the work, he did not replace all of the rotted wood he was supposed to and tried to cover it with paint. When I called Angela after we realized his work was incomplete, she told us that she would contact him and get back to me. This conversation happened back in March 2016. It is now, June 2016. I held off on this review hoping that Angela would have reached out to us by now to have her handyman come back and do the work that he was supposed to and do what he was paid to do. However, that did not happen. Angela has not contacted us to date. Buyers beware and ensure that your agent is truly working in your best interest. I’m sorry to say that we did not feel that way and would not recommend Angela Hunt to our friends in the future.
