The first coat in the stairwell did not cover well; original paint could be seen in several places. They came back to roll a second coat, but did not "cut in" along the edges. Once dry, this left a visible jagged border along the ceiling lines, corners, under the railing, and into the family room at the bottom of the stairs. Apparently, the original gallon and the new gallon weren't mixed together for this project, so the tints were slightly off. So, the original work wasn't satisfactory, and their recommended fix created an even bigger problem -- all the while assuring me that everything would dry evenly and that I would be satisfied. And all that, by the way, after I pre-paid for the work to be done. Their solution to the whole debacle was to make excuses and charge more money. After dealing with the frustration, and a lack of communication and timeliness, I did not agree to the extra expense. In all fairness, he did offer a bit of a discount to make everything right. Shawn is a nice guy and a member of our community, which makes this experience -- and this review -- all the more disappointing. On the bright side, the hallway and the ceiling look great. We're grateful for that.

They were professional and easy to work with.

They were priced very reasonably, showed up on time and did high quality work. We were so pleased with their initial work, we hired them to come back and do another list of projects.

It went just as I planned. The job came in on budget and the gates turned out just as I hoped

Service was on time and excellent. My tenant was very pleased with the repairs.

I contacted Heavenly Home Improvements on April 11. They responded within a day. Mr. Shawn Hunt, the owner and general manager, came to our home and did the work himself. I took him through our home to show him other areas that I needed a handyman for. Mr. Hunt was polite and professional, and seemed genuinely interested in the various projects, one of which was the complete gut and renovation of a small bathroom. He promised to e-mail me an estimate for all the work. On 4/13 (Wednesday), he came and replaced the barn shingles and then went to a relative's house close-by to install guards on her gutters - about 15-20 feet. I went to work and left a check for Mr. Hunt with my husband, who had also been impressed with him. The afternoon of said day I came home and saw that about 3-4 feet of the gutter guard had not been installed, so I sent a text to Mr. Hunt. He responded that he needed to pick up "one more piece" and would install it on Friday (4/15). Over a week later, on 4/25 (Monday), the remaining guard still had not been installed and neither had I received the promised estimate. I sent another text. He responded that he had gone to the "hospital with chest pains and had a heart cath" and promised the estimate by the following Thursday. I expressed concern for him, told him to take care of himself and suggested that maybe someone else on his staff could finish the gutter guard project. I even offered to go pick up the extra material myself. He texted back that he "would take care of it and that he was all better now." On Friday, May 13 - one month after the initial visit - I texted him again to ask about the gutter guard project. He texted back that things had been crazy and asked for the address again, stating that he would send one of his employees on Tuesday (17th) afternoon. I gave him the address and he responded that someone would be there on Wednesday morning (today - May 18). Someone came around 8:00 or 8:30 and finished the project. Based on all the above, I'm very disappointed with the company. The small amount of work he did seems to be satisfactory, however, the response time was horrible. Don't promise me estimates and don't leave a job undone once you have been paid. Mr. Hunt came across as interested and professional, and I liked him. Apparently, he wasn't as enthusiastic about all the work we discussed as he led me to believe. I cannot recommend the company, and I really hate giving unfavorable reviews. But it is what is it is.

Had to come back after I called because all 3 places he patched were falling out. Now we have mold growing and they are getting ready to fall out AGAIN. Don't waste your hard earned money.

I was less satisfied the second time than I was the first time I tried them two times so I had to say to give them the mark that I gave the first time they were okay, [inaudible] issue, it was an issue of his [inaudible] it was something with the water I remember that and a pipe broke and he had to go out and get one and came back and replace it wasn't the proper thing and he had to go again and it was a pain for the home owner and a pain in the neck for me, why do you hire these people is so that you don't have to worry about it or think about it even. I am out there giving directions this ridiculous.

It does not get much better than this. HHI contacted me quickly after I purchased their deal on Angie's List. They scheduled the time at my convenience and showed up exactly on time. They had all the tools they needed, went right to work and finished everything in the allotted time as well as cleaning up after themselves. There were no hidden fees or tacked on costs. I will definitely use Heavenly Home Improvements again.

Left 30 mins early. Could not fix doorbell or electrical issues. Could not not fix noise in sink. Do not deal with appliances. Left plumbing worse than when they came. However, they did promise they would get back with me and come back and fix it. I hope they do. They were polite people but I paid a whole lot of money to get very, very little done.

Caulk was left on the carpet in various places. In some areas where the windows were to be caulked, adequate caulking wasn't done at all. Very sloppy work. I had to spend a good bit of time scraping the caulk off the carpets. They brought the wrong sized replacement deck board, and then wanted to charge more because they would have to go back and get a correct sized board. The initial quote was for the correct size but it was now at my cost for them to go back and get the correct one. Unprofessional. Drywall cracks where tape/mud were put was not done properly and the cracks were still showing after it dried. I had to redo this myself. They left a mess as well on the floor below where they attempted to repair the cracks. Overall sloppy, unprofessional, and most frustrating is they seem to charge based on what they think you can pay, rather than what the job actually should cost.

Shawn located the source of the leak and repaired it at a very nominal cost. He did not try to sell me extra stuff. I actually expected toe problem to be worse. He seems to be very honest and of high character.

Great job, very responsive to a late evening request for next day service. Shawn was prompt and made a speedy repair so we could both enjoy the rest of our day. I appreciated his suggestions for how to schedule other jobs to improve cost effectiveness. Rate reflected immediate service which I needed due to upcoming travel. Will definitely use for future service!

They gave me an estimate within days of my inquiry. There were delays due to lots of rain but someone always called me to let me know. The work was completed quickly. The fence repair to my wood fence blended in well with the older fence and my repaired and stained deck looks amazing!

I bought a $249 big deal for this service. It was about a year ago. It was fine. They did not finish, though, so I had somebody else finish it, but it was fine. They did a few extra things for me. He was fairly reasonable, it was just that there were a lot of unfinished jobs. I one thing I did not like is that they left the electrical hanging there and did not put it back in place. I do not know if they are coming back or not.

It went very well. They were very awesome. They were very helpful. I will absolutely use them again.

The garbage disposal went in rather easily, but the installer took out my custom copper flange and put in the stainless steel one that came with the new disposal, and it looked bad in the copper sink. He actually showed me the flange when he removed the old disposal and i asked him to kust clean it and re-use it. Then when it was installed, the stainless steel one appeared. He did take it apart and reinstall with the proper flange. The drain assembly for the bathtub however was roughed in, but when i went to attach the drain pipe, I found that the rough in was too long, and I had to take it apart, re-cut it, and reassemble in order for it to line up with the hole in the floor.

Promise a quote in a week put did not receive it until 11 days later

Shawn did an excellent job and has a good work ethic. The work took approximately 3 weeks because of the unexpected repair of some of my windows. I am very satisfied with the quality of his work and would hire him again in the future.

The deal = $299 for 8 hours of Repair or Remodeling. I feel like I threw the $299 I paid for ?the deal for 8 hours of ? plus $40 for material in the trash. The job was to repair a hole in my ceiling from where a had plumber to repair a leak. Going into this job we BOTH KNEW that it was going to take at least 2 trips to do the job. One trip to fix the hole and apply a layer of mud. Another trip to apply the popcorn texture AFTER the mud dries. He even stated that it may take another trip to put in another layer of mud (which it did). All told it took just over 1 hour to complete the job. I asked about him doing other jobs for me to account for the 6+ hours. He gave me a couple of different quotes, each was really expensive. I asked for the 6+ hours I already paid for. He was willing to reduce the quote by $200 if I accepted the quote. He said that he had to make 2 additional trips to my house to complete the work and that accounted for the 6+ hours. Note that he works from his house and his house is less than 1 mile from mine. He even went on to complain that Angie?s List cost him $50 for this job. Plus on top of all of this, the workmanship was bad; I have to either get someone else to fix it or try to do it myself.

This was my firts time used their service and was a little nervous if they could not make it on time but were puctual for the same day service. Did a good job of putting the sink back against the undeneath of granite countertop. Were professional in workmenship. Would use them againg for similar needs.

They were timely and went out of their way to modify what they could to do the jobs the way I wanted. They were not rigid in how they function and did a very good job.

They were very prompt in getting back to me and scheduling the work. We had to work around some bad weather and reschedule several times but they always kept me informed. I added the damaged siding once he got on the job and he didn't hesitate to get the materials and finish it all the same day. Very pleasant to work with. I plan to use them again in the future.
