Description of Work: The initial $29 was for an attic inspection. Since Angie's List doesn't give them my info, the company was quick to contact me so we could get an appointment set up. I received a reminder call the day before. Joe came to my house, pulled out a nifty little camera that showed me all the cold spots & gave me an estimate for air block sealing as well as adding insulation. I had incorrectly assumed that the existing insulation would need to be removed. Joe advised against it since all I needed was more. I'm so glad he was so honest with me. I could have removed it, if I wanted for an additional $800, but again he strongly urged me that it wasn't going to be in my best interest. I was advised the work would take about 7-8 hours at most & be $2700 with the discount provided by the Angie's List Deal. He was extremely polite & a pleasure to deal with. | |I decided to proceed with the work. Joe came back out to get the paperwork signed & confirm attic access so his workers would be properly prepped. The workers were scheduled to show up 29FEB16 between 0930-1000. I received another reminder call the day before. The 2 workers showed up at 0945, ensured that I was aware of what work was being done, & proceeded. There was actually way more to the process than I fully understood, although I know Joe briefed me completely. | |The 2 gentlemen informed me of everything they were doing. I didn't know I was missing a duct from my stove fan. They installed one. Also, they created boxes over my bathroom fans so the insulation wouldn't fall in when they were used. I had wanted to use some of the space for storage, so they made sure I had all the space I wanted. I looked at the attic after they were done & it was just pretty. They were done by about 1400, cleaned up the insulation that had escaped while being blown in, and gave me an Attic Tent after instructing me on it's purpose. I know they did something with baffling vents, as well as just being nice enough to install some aluminum screening I provided over a gable vent that was just flat out missing. I almost wish I had more than one attic as this was the easiest process I've ever been through. I'm horrible at remembering names, but the 2 gentlemen were very respectful! Everyone from the company made me feel completely at ease & no question was went unanswered. I cannot recommend ENERGYSMITH enough.

Description of Work: We have them scheduled to insulate our attic in March. We have some issues with our house and Joe was extremely helpful and informative. I appreciated his assessment and his honesty. I will report back after the work is done.

Description of Work: The attic was air sealed and a copper wrap was added to the attic. They arrived on time, were very professional, finished that day and cleaned up very nicely after themselves. Any questions I had were answered right away and the woman in the office was so nice. They were able to accommodate the date I wanted as well. I can't wait to see the improved electric bill. The price was also very reasonable. I would use them again and recommend them to others. Thank-you!

Description of Work: Performed an analysis of the insulation of the attic, made recommendations, and provided an estimate of the recommended services. We were very pleased with all aspects of the visit and plan to schedule the recommended services. A most helpful and pleasant experience all around. We rated the cost as "C" not because we felt it too high but because we learned from the technician that the company will perform these at no cost, but are required to charge in order to be on Angie's List.

Description of Work: a man came over and i showed him around inside. he didnt give me any comprehenive energy audit he aimed a heat gun at a window or two and tiedto sell insulation to me.

Description of Work: EnergySmith was unable to install the Solar Fan based on the Southern Exposure of my home. Due to the location of the fan, this would not be visually appealing or allowed by the HOA. I did use the company for other attic sealing and insulation services and they were most professional and helpful.

Description of Work: EnergySmith Home Performance performed work for me recently at my place of business and just few months ago completed work at home, The reason I used them again was that they performed all the work at my home just as we had agreed and with great communication. Highly recommend!
