Great Family owned company and great service, took time to answer all of my questions on concerns and explained how the insulation works and was very detailed with what would be done and how quickly it would be done. Not only got the best insulation around but also got my attic air sealed as well. Easy to work with, I moved my install date three times and they didn't blink once. Great work!

Joe and his team offered a proprietary insulation product which outperforms materials from big box stores. Their team was super effecient and air sealed and insulated my house in just a couple hours start to finish. Since I am a Duke customer I got special pricing and Duke rebate of $250. Highly recommend - My house feels way better now! no more drafts or electric strip heat needed on my heat pump. cant wait to see my electric bills plummit.

I had searching for someone to repair or replace some installation and do mold remediation. Duke energy had one contractor listed called Energy smith listed so,I had called this company. Joe had came from that company and did a inspection. He had showed me his presentation and I had gotten a quote and ended up hiring this company. They had did a excellent work on everything. An I was very pleased, they are a very professional company.

Hired a previous company to work on our attic and knee wall spaces. Paid through the nose. Nothing was done right. Some of it wasn't even done at all. Worst experience we've ever had with any contractor. Called Joe at EnergySmith. He sent Ricky, Steve, and Dillon. COMPLETE opposite experience. Above and beyond all expectations. Fixed the previous company's mistakes, did more than the previous company for far less than what they would have charged for this much work, and they did it to perfection (they let you check their work after every step; keep in mind, I'm an obsessive compulsive-type with excessively high standards): Thorough loose fill extraction (including sticking the hose in the soffits and scooping it in by hand, because yeah, all the soffits were FILLED with insulation), replacing all the bat insulation (was worried about this, especially in the misshapen spots and around the penetrations; nope, flawless), covering the knee walls with copper barrier (was worried about this in terms of sagging, and again, penetrations; nope, perfect), baffles between EVERY rafter, blockers to prevent loose-fill infiltration in the soffits and underneath the floors (I was afraid to ask for this because I thought it'd sound too neurotic; they just automatically knew to do it because they're magicians), air sealing (at this point, I didn't even bother to check, because these guys are amazing), loose-fill installation (yeah, what do you think? perfectly flat, no peaks or valleys, proper depth, happiness overload, what's for lunch?). Timely, professional, communicative, top tier work ethic, and really just a joy to be around. These guys are the gold standard by which I'm going to compare all other contractors.

They did what they said they would at a fair price.

Insulation has made a wonderful change in our upstairs temperature. We thought we needed a new unit for upstairs since it couldn't keep rooms at temperature we had thermostat set on. Energy Smith told me he guaranteed that would change with new insulation, he was so right! I admit I was doubtful, but our unit is staying at the correct temperature now. I would recommend Energy Smith to anyone needing insulation. Our insulation was 25 years old! They were on time and finished the job when they said they would. Call Energy Smith!

Excellent work. Showed up on time on the dates specified, completed within window of time promised. Our house has never felt better, no matter how hot it is, the inside temp is now the same from room to room.

Joe, his son Dillon, and their crew did an excellent job prepping and installing the blown in insulation in our attic. We were way below the R rating for acceptable amt of insulation. The crew spent hours sealing air leaks and installing barriers for leaks before they blew in insulation. Joe came back and did the door blower test, which we passed by over 5 points needed to receive the $250 rebate from Duke Energy! Thanks for the professional job!
