Better than expected. Phil was the only contractor that responded AND came to my house on the same day that I called all the other contractors. He provided me the potential problem for my heat pump issues on the phone that eventually was confirmed during his initial visit and then during disassembly of the old duct system. He was very helpful in providing me additional savings and existing tax credits for the Attic Breeze vent system installed including for the heat pump providing me with the forms. Swift service done on a short time from initial call to complete installation (less than 1 week and completed installation in 7 hours). Great job by the technicians on the installation and housekeeping after the job was completed. Ben A.

It was incredible!!!! They showed up in the morning at 7:15 sharp with 4 well-equipped gentlemen and left 3 hours later with my two brand new York HVAC units completely installed, floors were left clean, everything was absolutely impressive! They were very respectful and professional. I couldn't be happier with this experience and the price was very fair!

Summary: Hire them - period! This review has 2 parts: 1) Diagnosis of existing system by Phil, the owner and 2) Removal of old / existing system and installation of new system led by Danny, the lead installer of the FOUR! (4) men on our job. 1). DIAGNOSIS of "Old" System My wife and I bought a townhouse in Greenville and I knew (per the inspection) that the old system was "shot". Consulted seller's realtor for an HVAC Company recommendation as well as Angies List, where I saw the reviews for Energy Sharks. Submitted online contact form and had a call by the owner Phil within the hour. Set up the appointment THE NEXT DAY to inspect existing system. I was not able to be onsite but Phil checked it out and then spent time to explain the issues with the current system, and educated me in PLAIN ENGLISH why the system he recommended, along with the addition of an additional return to help supply the necessary airflow, was what would be needed to provide the level of comfort which we desired. Price was competitive and definitely less than Realtor's referral, who didn't even mention the return / airflow problem. Bottom line, Phil did his job and gave me a quote that I thought was fair (and thousands less than the other quote)... 2). REMOVAL of old system and INSTALLATION of new system. The crew of FOUR (4) MEN arrived at 7:15am and immediately got to work. They put in drop cloths everywhere they would be working and went about their work in a steady manner. A HUGE shout out to Danny, the lead installer. ASK FOR HIM on your job! He kept me constantly apprised of what was going on, where there were some holes in the ceiling that pre-existed, where the new return could be and should be, etc. Can't tell you how competent the entire team was. Each of the men did their part and they worked very efficiently. Less than 4 hours later, they were done. Got a quick tutorial and they were on their way. Summary: Prompt service, fair pricing and excellent communication means I am pleased to refer them - without reservation. Great job Energy Sharks! A+

I had a really good experience with them. They were responsive, they answered my questions, they were knowledgeable, and they stayed in touch throughout the process. They were very very good. I was very satisfied with the services.

OK. The price was in the middle of the quotes that I received, which were all over the place from $8k to $20k. They didn't try to push unnecessary or complicated solutions on me and went with the basic install that I wanted. The system seems to be working fine six months later. Weather caused the crew to get behind schedule and they were rushing things a bit toward the end. A few details like sealing around the floor to duct connections and putting the insulation back around the openings for the duct work weren't finished up quite the way I expected but, that's not a big deal. Overall I am satisfied. I would use them again.

The install went very smooth. The owner came and explained everything to me.

The installation was nice but they left their garbage behind, i had previously paid to have the crawlspace cleaned put.

Phil's team did a great job. They were punctual. They kept their work area clean, and left the place looking like it did before they came. The guys were professional, and Phil followed up with me at my home after the install to do a final inspection of the work. Phil got me significantly increased air flow for a marginal additional cost. This was probably the best part of the service. He understands how to maximize the system. I will definitely use Energy Sharks in the future, and I have already recommended them to others.

I got proposals from 3 other contractors, all had very similar higher cost approaches. One of these contractors has been maintaining my system for years. Energy Sharks is different, Phil is special, he has a technical skill and product knowledge to specify the right equipment to meet our needs that exceeded our expectations. He is a master at understanding where to spend our dollars to get the most benefit. Costly features that sound good but have little payback are vetted by Phil. He knows. He even thoughtfully considered how to maximize our Energy rebates and tax credits by selecting the right eligible products ($950). The workmanship of the installation was Excellent. Danny arrived on time and completed in the time period (less than 1 day) during the one of the coldest days of the year. The system works great and I could not be more pleased. We have been using Energy Sharks to maintain our heating and A/C unit for the last few years. They have always offered outstanding service. The unit had been installed in 1988 and we knew the unit was literally on it's last leg but some how Rob our technician has kept it going. So when our heater finally died this week we called Phil at Energy Sharks and a few other companies for quotes. Phil provided the best estimate and even with the bad weather this week and Energy Sharks busy holiday schedule they were able to fit us in and installed our unit today. They are always very professional and on time. We have been and continue to be completely satisfied with their services and will continue to use Energy Sharks for all of our HVAC needs. The Energy Sharks team are professional and very knowledgeable of their products. The pricing better than the other company's I checked with. The job was done in one day and they did a great job. The crew that did the installation were polite and understanding of any concerns I had. This company is Excellent! I will use them in the future and recommend them to my family and friends.

The upstairs unit that they installed has been losing Freon several times and is not functioning correctly. The unit is not sized correctly for the square footage and duct work that is in place. They did not pull permits or do a load balance check before starting work. There are numerous other issues regarding the details of the installation.

My research was extensive. I tried to learn as much as I could before spending such a considerable amount of money. Reading many owner accounts,Trane became my preferred hardware; a second choice would have been Lennox My specific requirements were influenced by researching the Duke Energy website. Here?s what Duke, along with many days of research,convinced me that I needed: 14 Seers HSPF of 8.2 or greater ECM on the indoor unit Focusing primarily on cost, I usually have to compromise between what I?d like to have and what is affordable to me. This job would turn out to be a notable exception. I spoke with multiple contractors. Only EnergySharks would meet my requirements Phil (EnergySharks owner) and I hashed out the details over the phone. He met ALL of my criteria at a cost of approx 20% lower than similarly rated contractors I scheduled the removal and replacement work for the following Tuesday. Phil came out to my house two days prior to the install to look over my current installation. He explained that this would allow him to special order any hardware that might be specifically optimal for my house. He impressed me as being energetic, intelligent and extremely detail oriented. The lead technician arrived early Tuesday morning, performed another inspection, and proceeded with the typical gas and vacuum checks. He then began the process of disconnecting the old hardware. He was very informative,and showed me a few simple methods I could use to keep my new unit clean and happy! A short time later, another pair of workers delivered the new hardware. They removed the old hardware and spotted the new units. The heat pump was placed on a new vibration dampening pad. The tech began his piping and electrical work. All of the workers were polite, respectful of my house and well trained. When you observe what seem to be satisfied workers, it`s a good indication that their employer is treating them fairly and appropriately. Work was completed shortly after noon, and the unit made its first run. Even with outside temperatures nearing 100°, the new Heat Pump brought the (almost 2000sq`) house into a livable comfort range within less than an hour. It reached 72° in about 2 hours and never varied from this temp for the rest of the day. I have since settled on 74° as optimal for me. In my 20 years in this house,(from the time it was brand new) I have never experienced this level of cooling comfort. A long (duct) run that hadn?t been cooling properly for years is now cooling perfectly. For the first time ever, I can actually make my house TOO cool....my only regret is that I didn?t do this years ago Phil took the initiative to file theTrane warranty for me,and to completely supply Duke Power with all the documentation needed for me to obtain a $200.00 rebate (from Duke). I could not be more satisfied, and I expect that it will be a long time before walking into my ?cold? house ceases to delight me. John

We are now repeat customers for Energy Sharks. They replaced our upstairs heat and air system last year and they replaced our downstairs heat and air system last week. They were prompt and thorough. They installed a 2.5 ton Trane compressor and Trane furnace. The system works great. I am looking forward to the enhanced efficiency of the new system. We have already realized significant energy savings from last year's installation of our upstairs unit. Their pricing for the new system was better than the quote that I received from the company that has been doing my HVAC preventative maintenance service for years. They are committed to customer satisfaction and competitive pricing.

Phil and his crew were very professional ,prompt and courteous.They installed a new Trane 3 ton heat pump split system,new drain pan,float switch,Honeywell heat pump Thermostat,installed a work platform for safe installation and future service work.i would recommend this company.The owner followed up from beginning of the project and followed up when the project was complete.

The installation was completed in one day. Mr. Esposito and his workers were professional, prompt, and courteous. There were no issues or problems with the installation and the value received for the price was excellent. I will definitely use this company again for any additional needs that I might have.

The owner dealt directly with me and worked to get me the system with my specs for the price that I could pay. The installers were very professional and patient with all my questions. I would/will recommend them to my friends.

I called Energy Sharks at 8AM on 2/18/15 requesting a service appointment for my heat pump and a home energy audit. I was told I would have a return call later that morning after they had time to check where their crews were and their schedules. I did not receive a call back. I called the company for an update at 2PM on the same day and was told the owner just returned and they would check with him and I should hear from them in 20 min. I never had a return call. I'm a reasonable person and understand things come up but to not take 2 min of your time to return a call or tell me you don't want the business is unacceptable.

They were great! Salesman was knowledgable and honest. The crew were on time and did a thorough job. The salesman even stopped by to check on the crew and inspect the ongoing work. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

The team worked at my house for 2 days. Day one, the blew insulation in the 10" of insulation in my attic and began installing R19 insulation in the floorboards. Day two, they completed the R19 insulation and ran the aeroseal through the ducts. The guys did a great job. Cleaned up after themselves, which my wife really appreciated, and my power bill has gone down drastically. Just to provide some prospective, my January power bill was $525 in a 1900 SF house!!! Since Energy Sharks came, my power bill has been less than $130 each month.

They were prompt, competent, honest, and courteous. They installed a new 2.5 ton Westinghouse system at a very reasonable price especially when compared to my previous HVAC provider. The owner came out and performed tests on the upstairs and downstairs units to measure efficiency. We are enjoying the cooling power of the new system. These guys are pros.

I was very impressed with Robin, my Energy Sharks service professional. He was on-time, personable, knowledgeable, efficient, and did almost everything I needed to be done (he was not the ductwork professional, so he was only able to do a visual inspection - however, he arranged for them to call me back in two days to see if his servicing provided any improvement to the low air-flow issue). I had literally just moved into this house, and knew that it had been vacant for about a year, and that it definitely needed an HVAC tune-up, but I was also concerned about the non-existent air-flow to one bedroom. When I called Energy Sharks, at first I was confused because they answered the phone Pro-Care, but Leah was very pleasant and explained that both companies were under one roof. She was very delightful, and was concerned, wanting to get me scheduled as quickly as possible, especially when I explained the situation with the non-existent air-flow to one bedroom. She made me feel good about choosing this company. And, when Robin arrived, it didn't take long for me to feel very happy about my choice! I used to work as an HVAC receptionist years ago, so I can honestly say that he was one of the "good guys". He went out of his way to make sure that everything he could do was done at the most efficient level possible, without charging me an outrageous fee. I was beyond impressed when he took the extra time to tape down the interior insulation on my air handler, but was even more impressed when he found some wiring that had become dangerous, and took the time to replace it, so that we were safe. Thank you, Robin! He admitted that he was not the ductwork professional, and that he would not be able to do much more than a visual inspection regarding my ductwork concerns (the ductwork was not really very accessible, unfortunately). But, he did advise that if the problem persisted after his tune-up that I have their energy professional or ductwork professional come out to further investigate the situation. I was delighted to learn that they have a contracting department (Pro-Care) that can assist if we need to cut an access hole on the other side of the house, so they can access the unreachable ductwork. At this time, I would most definitely recommend Robin and Energy Sharks to others! Now, all I need to do is wait a few days to see if his tune-up did the trick, or if they will need to come back to do further analysis of my situation.

They installed my new units with no problems. The owner came out to supervise the install which I appreciated as he had been the one I had dealt with to arrange everything. He pointed out that I had very little insulation in the attic and gave me a quote on the spot. He was very thorough in explaining things and answering all my questions. The owner and another employee came out a couple days later to put in the insulation. A couple weeks later I woke up to a very cold house. I contacted the owner to find out what was wrong and let him know that the unit would only run for a couple minutes at a time before shutting off, even if it wasn't at the correct temp. They came back out right away, and diagnosed and fixed the problem at no additional charge. I rated them as 'Good' on professionalism because of one employee who I thought was a bit rude, tacky and unprofessional. Other than him, the owner and the rest of the staff were very pleasant to deal with.
