DRT Works LLC

David Thompson, Jr, DRT Works, LLC left us in a state of financial distress due to his malfeasance and refusal to take responsibility. He took more than $42,000 and many months of our lives. He was hired to construct a large (6ft tall) retaining wall, a 2+ car garage, and a driveway. After many months of frustration, Mr. Thompson abandoned the job, leaving us with a severely damaged garage slab, as well as an un-permitted retaining wall that is a very poorly constructed eyesore and retains nothing. In fact, along with his extremely poor job of grading, it directs water and mud directly over the top of it and toward the house every time it rains. (See photos) His failure to get the required permit to build the retaining wall and shoddy workmanship ultimately led to the necessity of completely tearing it down and replacing it. In addition, the garage slab, if not also torn out and replaced, will require thousands of dollars in repairs. Not only was David Thompson extremely unprofessional in his work, but in how he conducted himself while addressing our concerns and questions as customers. Our strong recommendation - Do NOT use this contractor.

Overall, the project went very well, and I would not hesitate to either use DRT again or recommend him to others. Any criticism that I would have of DRT Works would be a result of the small size of the contractor. In fact, the small size of DRT is both a blessing and a curse! David is a very honest person, and he cares about doing quality work. He went "over and above" to ensure that my wife and I were satisfied with the work that was done. It was a pleasure to do business with him.

DRT Works LLC has done some advertising. We really like his knowledge and expertise and we are dealing with the owner and he had many years with one of the premier home builders and he went out and started his own company. My husband and I feel very confident that he is a confident professional.
