+ -1 moreOne unit was fine. Freon had leaked out of the second unit. Due to age of the unit (1995), I made the decision not to repair that unit and replace it instead. Lee, the technician, was very professional during the service call. He arrived on time, and took time to discuss feasibility of repair vs purchase options. Disposable shoe coverings were used inside of the house.
Description of Work: Pittman was called to run a general service check on 2 heat pump systems. This is the second time I have had the units serviced since purchasing the house in 2008. I do not have an annual maintenance agreement.

+ -1 moreI have used Pittman ever since we purchased this home in 2000. Because they installed the original heating/cooling system, they knew it from top to bottom. They also gave us super service including a service call in the middle of a summer heat wave when they arrived less than three hours after I called them. We had one heat pump replaced in early 2011 and the other two a year later. Pittman carefully discussed the choices we had, gave us a fair price, and installed on time. They include a 10 year warranty and the first year maintainance check-up/cleaning.
Description of Work: They installed two new heat pumps and air handlers. They installed the originals when the house was built in 1994 and maintained them until there was no point in further repair.

Description of Work: We have been very satisfied with Pittman Heating and A/C. They installed our furnace and A/C more than 10 years ago and we have had no problems with the product or their service. Over the years we have called them to check out the system and make any repairs/adjustments to maintain everything in good working condition. The service man was pleasant, professional and was able to answer our questions in a knowledgeable manner. We would recommend Pittman very highly.

Description of Work: This is the second time I have requested Pittman review our upstairs air conditioning system. Their name is on the A/C control unit that is in the house I just purchased, but for the second time the people that are looking at the unit are telling me and my wife that they are not responsible for the unit because they did not do the original install. The technicians that came to address items found with the A/C during our home inspection were upset because they did not feel the issues were a problem. They seemed upset that they had to correct leaks around the system in the attic and had to replace a drip pan that was dripping alot of water. On this second trip, the technician explained that they did not install the unit and the previous owners had similar problems, but that they only installed the monitor for the system and it was not their problem the system did not cool our house. The technician seemed pleasant enough at the start of the second visit but seemed to get upset by the end of the visit after my wife indicated that we contacted them because their name was on the upstairs system with a NUMBER TO CALL! My wife and I only want cool air for our upstairs and want to get to the root of the problem. I am very disappointed in the service and do not recommend them. I am going to move to someone who will send us someone who is willing to help us get cool air for our childrens bedrooms!!!

They come when they say they will, they do a nice job and clean up after themselves when necessary. I think the price is reasonable.
Description of Work: Pittman's Heating & A/C installed our brand new furnace and AC ten years ago and then we have them out every other year to check it and make sure it is running right.

+ -1 moreThe office manager was very accommodating in making an appointment for the day that I needed service, she called to confirm the appointment and then called again on the date of service to let me know that the technician was enroute. When he arrived, the technician explained what he needed to do and then went right to work and had the job done quickly and efficiently. He was very careful to use shoe covers each time he needed to come inside the house and he removed all the parts that were replaced when he finished. The company offers a pre-paid service plan that ensures emergency service if needed and avoids additional charges in case call backs are necessary. I would highly recommend Pittman Heating and A/C.
Description of Work: The technician performed a tune-up of the heat pump and air handler -- repairs required replacing the starter condenser coil and relay and adding about 1 lb. of R-22 gas to bring it up to proper pressure.
