he came gave me 300 for the job since - came bk and i gave him 200 i held out 100- ever wk its some other excuse this has been going on for 3 wks -he just hung up on me

I hired Mike's team over the past two years to restore 4,000 square feet of 230-year-old heart pine floors. Mike and Chris did an excellent job restoring my floors and installing ceramic tile in the bathrooms. We had a weird project schedule, and we were able to work together to get it done to museum quality for this historic home at a reasonable price. Mike goes beyond the call of duty to get the job done and done correctly.

No, and not really. Project was to start August 5th, didn't start until the 14th. Miss calculation on square feet , delayed in getting materials. Job was completed on Aug 30 2024.....much to long to be out of my mancave. Work was good when I could get them here.

Did job and got paid, had issue and for 5 straight days promised to fix issue but every day a different excuse and never fixed issue.

Mike was great! Professional, on time, friendly and knowledge. Even worked the day before the 4th of July. Best part was honoring his commitments and estimates. Would recommend to anyone with big or small jobs (especially if you the homeowner mess up the first time!).

After Mike Flaker secured all the money from my insurance for putting in the flooring and drywall, this is what my family was left with. He never came back to finish the job nor returned any calls from my insurance or myself.

Mike came out and gave me an estimate. He sent his worker Nico. Nico is an excellent person and did a great job. I will hire in the future when I’m ready to get my bathrooms done.

Work went very well. Niko and Mike were professional and friendly. Always had a kind word and a pat for our dog. The floors were completed on time and look BRAND NEW. We would recommend Flaker Flooring to anyone for floor refinishing or other work.

Sam was very professional. He came and measured for an estimate and provided information on the product he uses. Once I accepted the job he was very courteous of my home and kept mess to a minimum. Floors were sanded done, patched, and epoxy and flaking was done. In all the process took about 3 days, most from the epoxy to cure. The end result is a very beautiful textured floor that looks wonderful and cleans easily!

Finished outcome, professionalism, communication with customer, all 5 stars. It did take a couple of days longer than estimated, but the guys worked over the weekend to try to make it up, so I won't ding them too hard over this. Whether you go with Flaker or another, hardwood refinishing is highly disruptive of home life, so be prepared for this ahead of time.

This crew did a fantastic job. They assisted in moving furniture both out of the home and back into the home. They were there when they said the would be. They were professional, dependable and courteous. Thank you so much for my beautiful floors.

We had a settling crack that was under the vinyl floor that was about ten feet long. My wife searched the web and found Mike at Flaker Flooring South Carolina and we contacted him on 6.9.2022 and made plans for him to come and look at the floor. We were in a hurry to put our house in CHESNEE, SC on the market by 6.18.2022. Mike usually does not work on weekends, but Mike came right out on time as scheduled and finished the floor on time.He called in advance to let us know exactly what time to meet. He went out of his way and repaired it perfectly. His price was very reasonable. We cannot say thank you enough. We highly recommend his company. He is licensed and insured and knows exactly what he is doing! You will have no regrets. He is very respectful and guarantees his work. We are very satisfied ! Our real estate agent was so impressed she ask Mike for his business cards.

Quick "spoiler alert" - we could not be happier with the outcome! Mike and his team on our project - SONNY & GARY (outstanding people and skilled workers) did a great job on what turned out to be a rather complicated flooring job with a lot of severe angle to cuts and odd transitions to deal with. It required skilled, careful work and a "good eye" for detail to be sure it was correct! And it certainly was!!! To rewind... We choose Mike Flaker because he was out quick to gives us a quote, explained the process and options we had. He also listened to what we wanted and gave us options accordingly as well as good suggestions we had not considered. He was super responsive to our follow-up questions by phone (or would run out in-person) to explain what we needed to know. Mike also discovered some issues on his walk through (hidden under the carpet) like squeaky floors and a slight settling in one side of the house. He gave us very cost effective solutions to mitigate the problem as part of an adjusted quote. As other problems were discovered on the stairs (again under the carpet) he and his crew made adjustments at no added cost even though it did slow their progress as they dealt with them. Mike also creatively used some materials we had previously purchased when this was to be a DYI project, saving us additional money on materials. He made adjustments to those materials to fit the situation - again saving us cash. During the process he was in constant communication. You will never be "ghosted" by this guy! If something came up requiring an unexpected delay you knew what was going on. This is a two way street so we had no issues when such problems came up as we always knew what was going on. As for the actual work...We had not used a contractor for anything in years and didn't think about the fact Mike was not going to be there for all the work but has several crews under him for different jobs. So his company really is only as good as the people he has hired and trained to carry out the work. I cannot speak about his other crews as of yet, but the key guys on our project - Sonny & Gary - were excellent! They were not only good people (very friendly and knew how to make friends with one of our rather skittish dogs with a daily treats - shared breakfast biscuits!) but were quite skilled and methodical in their approach. They explained what they were doing and showed us options on a very tricky central landing area with 6 doors entering in to from "all directions and angles". One wall required countless angled cuts - each one had to fit perfectly. They also suggested some ways to make that area look "next level" with how they handled the many room "threshold" transitions in the landing. Overall, they took their time and therefore saved materials by not making mistakes. It could have easily been "fast and sloppy" in places and that was not the case here. They also replaced all the baseboard and/or added some missing baseboard to complete the job. Again with excellent results. We plan to have Mike refinish our downstair solid oak floors with 18 years of age on them. We are confident at this point that Mike and his crew will match it all up with the new stairs for a really great final look between upstairs and down. In the end there are probably cheaper "floor guys" out there, but for what Mike, Sonny & Gary did and the extra time they took to correctly deal with issues they were quite reasonable. And I believe when skill is involved you get what you pay for! We highly recommend Flaker Flooring!
