The original quote was $1,400, addition of a curtain drain jumped the price to $2,500, then they asked for $2,800, then $3,050 and the work isn't finished yet. The pipeline to the first homesite was uphill towards the tank defying gravity. At the end of the curtain drain they dug a large hole that filled with water and that drainpipe was in a utility easement (a big no-no). They haven't started the pipeline to the 2nd homesite. Failure to complete the work on a timely basis (now 3 weeks and counting) is delaying the pouring of concrete slabs. I am screwed since I don't expect they will off me a partial refund or get someone to finish the job.
Description of Work: I needed 1 additional drainline to upgrade an existing septic field, and 1 pipeline each run from 2 tanks to 2 homesites. The county changed the plan adding 1 curtain drain in front of 1 of the septic systems. They installed a curtain drain and an additional drainfield which they say was approved by an inspector but I haven't received a copy of that document yet. It has been 3 weeks and only 1 pipe from one of the homesites to the septic tank was layed, but uphill to the tank and apparently without measurements. Tom, an elderly gentleman and not participating in the labor, supervises the transaction negotiations but not the work. His son Shawn does the labor but does not appear to be well trained. I will have to get someone else to redo the job since Tom says Shawn is now in jail for something.
