BEWARE AND READ about carefully!! He went from a month ago telling me he had 100 satisfied customers to telling the judge a month later that he had 200 satisfied customers and so so many lies about what I said and issues on my property. And his partner was ugly to me after court and in my yard. BEWARE!!! BRIAN SAID THEY DON'T DO TREES, SO IF THEY LET YOUR SHRUBS GROW INTO TREES, HIS LOGIC OR TRICKERY IS THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE!!!!
Description of Work: BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE AS OTHER REVIEWERS SAID!!!!!! Tony was supposed to be maintaining my lawn and was supposed to take care of the damages caused by his employees. I have been busy working and rearing a child as a single parent and that is why he has done my lawn for so long. I paid him monthly including the winter when there was nothing to be done. I did this because he included numerous items such as aerating, fertilizing, weed control, trimming shrubs and trees and etc.. in his initial proposal. He even mentioned that I paid him during the winter... later I asked what did he think when he picked that check up from under my door mat and did nothing. My lawn was in great condition except for a small problem with crab grass that I was tired of working on as well as the difficulty of rearing a child and working full time. I have stayed with him because of the promises he has make to take care of the damages and neglect...and of course the promise of grass instead of weeds year after year. Recently after talking with him one day about it and he told me a few lies and his worker was rude to me, I realized he was taking advantage of me and was never going to make good on his promises. The prior summer once again my yard was nothing but weeds to the point that his workers literally used a weed eater to just cut the long spindly weeds. The front yard was brick hard dirt. As I have many times, I asked him to please heavily aerate, fertilize, and sow seed as well as everything else that is usually done for lawn care in the fall. Well, Tony did none of that. He just threw some seed on that brick hard soil so all winter my front and side yard was just mud. After I decided to communicate on a weekly and then daily basis, I realized that he just didn't care and was was blatantly being a jerk. I asked him why he put seed on brick hard soil and he said he did not know. He threw up that he had put sod down on part of the yard..well he put it down on brick hard soil. I even asked him if he should have roughened the soil up but he said it would take. I did research online and proved to him that soil should be prepared prior to laying sod. He asked who told me that and said that maybe he should have let "him" do it. After telling him that I read it online, he responded, "exactly". ???? He also said that he had been doing it like that for 20 years. Earlier he mentioned that he made the person that sold the sod to him replace it???After that, I sent him four my articles about laying sod. He also trimmed my beautiful azaleas right before they bloomed. I waited year after year as they got more and more wiry and sad looking. All the time, with Tony saying he could fertilize them but HE NEVER DID. Now since January, I have been after him to get my grass in shape, make repairs to my fence, uncover or replace my irrigation heads and remove the huge tree stumps that resulted from neglecting shrubs. He had said he would get all of it done in a week...he has said he is meeting with the irrigation and fence guys. Also, he said that he was going to "do my lawn right this time"??? Well, he is trying a little harder, but Tony did not put pre-emergent down so I have to remind him every few days that the weeds are growing in various areas and suggest that he apply weed killer when it is not going to rain for a few days after. But... there are parts of my yard that is nothing but thatch and debris where he is not even attempting to sow grass... After I mentioned that I was going to have to resort to this, Tony said he was going to talk to his attorney the following day??? I responded, "That's great, please do and please do it tomorrow!" Like the previous reviewers said, If you want stress in your life, hire Tony Smith but if you don't BEWARE of how he has treated me. Oh yeah, he recently told me he had a 100 satisfied customers and I shamed him for taking advantage of me. I wrote the previous about a month ago in hope that Tony would come through with his promises but read on and you will see what happened and hopefully it will not happen to you. I could have added more pictures but I am letting it go except for pressing the SUBMIT button. As it turned out, I ended up taking Tony to court over damages to my fence and negligence in letting shrubs turn into trees. I asked for fence to be repaired/replaced, total yard renovation, and stumps to be removed. Well, I did not win because I did not have a professional with me to give an estimate of damages and costs to rectify it. I did not realize this. I had pictures of the negligence and damages but that is not enough. The literature that you are given reads that you cannot bring estimates so I thought the pictures and testimony would be enough. Just so you know, it is not and Tony lied his butt off under oath in court. Seriously about every word out of his mouth was a LIE. So if you get in a situation like this, make sure you have a professional with you that can give the judge an estimate. So if you are the kind of person, that is patient, nice and understanding (Tony's words when he thanked me one time when I brought the weeds and fence up) remember good guys finish last. But like I said, my error was not having a professional with me to give the judge an estimate. And don't let his sweet talk, as a neighbor calls it, persuade you to keep him on board. Don't fall for that cheap estimate.

BE AWARE . If you don't have enough stress in your life , then call this guy or else look for someone better. he promised me he will do the job in two days ans i promised that i will pay him all the money after the first day.(Biggest mistake I made) First day - He cut the tree branches and removed the bushes and left with all the money promising that he will come back the next day. Told us to go buy the mulch and potting soil from Homedepot so he will pick them up. we went to the home depot got the plants we need and paid for 15 bags of mulch and potting soil. He did not show up the next . when we call him he says he has a family emergency and is in the hospital taking care of the family. Every week we work around our schedule and wait for him and the saga continued for 6 weeks until my i burst at him one day about my dying plants and that i want my money back. He shows up the next day , picks up the stuff from home depot, put he plants in the ground lays the mulch bags all around the backyard and left since it started raining. he apologized to us for being late and promised to come everyday afterwork and finish the job. He does not show up for a week and the grass started to die under the mulch bags. He calls me and tell about the family emergency again and i know he is liar. 8 weeks of stress, messy backyard and loss of money is what i got by picking this guy. BE AWARE.

I hired Smith Property Management to remove 12-13 trees and also yard and debris clean up. I paid over half the cost upfront ($4800 out of $7800). They showed up a day late to our agreed upon start date. The first day he cut down 6 trees. He had an emergency with 1 of the 6 and had to oursource a professional to assist. While plunge cutting the tree he did not utilize a tree wedge and the tree fell and locked up his chainsaw. I was worried this one might have fell on the house. Thankfully it didn't. However, they did not show for another week and I had 6 trees laying on the ground at my property. A few more calls and they eventually showed a week later. They cut up a few limbs on 4 of the trees laying on the ground and stacked a small pile of wood. A few more weeks went by and I still have 6 trees laying on the ground, still not cleaned up or removed per our contract. Another call, some texts, and a week later, half of the 4 trees covering the drive way were semi cleared up. Another week of phone calls they promised to come over on a Tuesday. No show. Called again. They came Wednesday, for a total of an hour. I was fed up and fired the guys. They took 60% of the payment and only performed 20% of the work. They are unprofessional, not prompt, and in my general opinion should not have been hired for such a large job. They were in over their head and I had a learning experience to never work with these guys again. I hope my bad experience can save or spare someone else. Please don't hire these guys for any of your business needs. They names are Tony Smith and Brian Williams with Smith Property Management in Rock Hill / Fort Mill, South Carolina.
Description of Work: They were supposed to fell and remove 12 trees plus yard clean up and debris removal.
