This was one of the smoother service calls I’ve had. The technician was about an hour late but it was very stormy so I give that a pass. Fixing my long-dormant fireplace took him no time at all, and he showed me a few hints on how to diagnose in the future. He also cleaned it inside and out. Until he did that, I hadn’t realized just how filthy it was. The flames are much brighter now. He was in and out in about an hour and the fireplace is like new. Great job.

It went well and he arrived before the scheduled time.

Wayne (who is the owner of Mechanical Doctor Inc.) contacted me directly within an hour of requesting service and was at my house that same day. He came back a couple days later to finish the job, but made sure our air conditioner was working enough to get us through a hot NC summer weekend until he came back. He was professional and kind at all times, and his prices were fair. Would absolutely use his services in the future!

The technician was knowledgeable and did a through job of cleaning different areas of the gas logs.

I'm very impressed with the time and service offered. Our AC went out last night. I was able to schedule them first thing this morning. Wayne was on time and very courteous. We ended up having a few things wrong, including our motor, low refrigerant, and a dirty system. He also did a check up on the furnace but found no issues and felt confident that it's in good shape. We went ahead and did the service plan, which did add to the overall cost, but gave us peace of mind that they'll be out later this fall to clean the system and prepare us for the winter. Very pleased with the service offered and will be doing business again, but hopefully not for a long time.

I was impressed with the whole process. Scheduling was easy, they were right on time, they explained what they were doing throughout, and they replaced a part that was starting to fail while it was still under warranty so it didn’t cost me anything. I recommend them.

Fantastic..I am so impressed with this company....they are good, honest people...Mark was so knowledgeable, kind and gracious....he did a complete check of my air conditioning system and cleaned it and found nothing wrong...My light switch in the attic had gone bad a few months ago and he replaced it for me.....their prices are very reasonable and they offer discounts if you have a yearly contract....I can't say enough good things about them....

I called and the owner, Wayne, came out personally to resolve the issue. He was finished in no time flat and did a terrific job. I have, and will continue to, recommend their services to everyone. Price was very fair.

This company did not try to sell me on services that I did not need. Kevin came in, evaluated the problem, showed me the bad fan motor, and explained all charges before he proceeded. I have used Mechanical Doctor for all my HVAC needs since I purchased my home in 2015. On July 3rd, my A/C unit stopped cooling the house and I found the outside unit was frozen. Overall, my experience was great, except for trying to reach them after hours. I started at 7pm to get someone out and it took until the next morning for someone to return my call. This part of the experience was very disappointing as I have always experience awesome customer service and responsiveness from them. Once the tech called me, he responded quickly. He identified the problem and could make the repairs so that the A/C unit was producing nice cool air again. I did speak to the office a few days later to express my disappointment in the responsiveness. They agreed and promised to look into the practice of after hour calls. The issue was the tech on-call had phone issues and their current system does not roll over. I was impressed that they reached out to me first and wanted to know about the issue and how they could regain my trust Besides the delay in getting into contact with someone, I could not be more pleased with the service that Mechanical Doctors provided. As for the responsiveness, everyone is entitled to a technology failure

I did buy their package every year, and I will be buying it again this year, 179 packaged. They came out in April and checked in the air conditioning.Their package includes heating and air conditioning check for every spring and fall. They installed the air conditioner back in 2014, so I just kept on with them for maintenance.

Kevin is usually the technician who provides service for my units. He is excellent; honest, hardworking, and answers questions thoroughly.

I called on early on a Saturday morning as our AC had gone out on Friday evening. They were very responsive to my needs and came out to the house several hours later. I was told that the capacitor on the unit had blown and would need to be replaced. The overall cost was to be $325. Fine. After this was done, the tech decided that we needed to have freon added as well....OK...if it really needs it. The cost was to be spproximately another $100. The service was completed and I handed over my credit card, because really, who keeps cash like that lying around? Certainly not me. To use the credit card, I had to pay an extra 2% fee. I thought that was ridiculous, but I was kind of over a barrel, so I had to pay it. They ran my credit card for $416. Ok, that sounded about right and honestly I wasnt thinking about it. I was handed a reciept and my invoice and the tech left. The AC worked great so my husband and I were happy.....until I get a call on Wednesday from Mechanical Doctor. I figured it was a call to see how the unit was working and to see if we wanted to sign up for a contract, which we were planning to do. Instead it was a call to collect more money because the service tech had not added correctly! They needed another $140 and it was going to be ANOTHER 2% service fee to run my credit card again, even though this was not my fault! I was shocked and angry. I paid the requested amount because the work was done, but I feel it is highly unprofessional to call a customer to try and get more money when the mathematical error was yours. At that point, you make a mistake like that, you suck up the loss. While I was happy with the work, I will not call this company again. There are too many other HVAC companies out there that are comparable, amd they lost our business for a service contract as well.

scheduled the appointment with them.they are always very nice on the phone, they show up at the appointed time and they do a great job...i have now bought this service package for 3 or 4 years and i couldn't be more satisfied

Basically he was going to get pricing on parts to repair the unit. I let him know that I am an Angie's list member and that I had a coupon. I sent the coupon to him. He charged me $89.00 even though the coupon was for $39.00. He told me that he would only honor the coupon if I decided to let him replace the unit. My complaint is that he wouldn't give me the Angies list pricing.
