The film has been on our windows now for not quite 4 years, and we have noticed a significant decrease in the heat coming through the windows, along with a decrease in our air conditioning bills. Moving to SC from PA, I wanted to be able to sit in my sunroom and read and enjoy the beautiful weather by having the blinds open. Without the 3M window film, I would not be able to do that comfortably. I also appreciate not having to be concerned about fading of our new furniture or the many limited edition prints and original watercolors that hang on our walls. In fact, we actually had the company come back a year ago and put film on a window that I originally didn't have done, so that I could fade protect what was behind it. Overall, we are extremely pleased with Carolina Premier Window Films, Ms. Minardi, and her installation crew, and have recommended them to several of our friends and neighbors who have been just as pleased. I would definitely use them again if I had the need of their services. As of this date, we have had no problems with the film or windows, and I am glad to be able share our experience with others considering this service in the Charlotte, NC area.

I want them to give me my money back and pay for the damages they did. They installed this film on all my windows. The purpose of this film is to prevent the heat from coming into the house. I had the window film installed to prevent the heat coming in through the windows at the front of the house. The only reason I had it put on the other windows was to match.Two weeks after the installation, the huge window above my foyer cracked. I called the company. They are telling me that the only reimbursement I am going to get is the $475 from their insurance that is provided through the warranty. It is going to cost $1800 to get the window fixed. They didn't even tell me that their was a chance that the windows would crack until they had finished the installation and were having me sign the warranty. About two weeks later, the insurance company called me because the company had not sent in the pictures of the cracked window what they requested. I had to send everything in. Since then it has cracked even more. Now I am afraid I need to take this film off the other windows before they break. CAROLINA PREMIER WINDOW FILMS INC said that from here on out I would need to contact their insurance company about the damage. I am not comfortable with that as I paid them $1,283 to do the work and they are not resolving the damage that came from it. REBUTTAL TO SERVICE PROVIDER RESPONSE: I must correct several misstatements. 1. I was never told of any risk to window breakage when the estimate was done (nor at any time other than after the installation when being given the warranty. I was totally surprised there even was a warranty, since I did not know there was any risk of window damage.) 2. I was never told of any potential problem with the foyer window during the installation. And since I was never told there might be an issue, I certainly did not say to go ahead with the installation regardless 3. All the windows in the home have been in place since the house was built in 1999 and none have ever cracked even though we have been thru lots of drastic temperature changes. There were more changes in temperature during all the years prior to the film being installed than in the 2 weeks in Jan/Feb between the film being installed and the window cracking. 4. The 63”X83” window has to be replaced due to the huge crack that has gotten bigger. I will not be keeping a cracked window with film on it in my foyer

We agreed to have Carolina Premier install the film. Michelle showed up on time for the installation, with help and all the equipment that was needed. The job was done perfectly, in a very timely manner, and they cleaned up after themselves.

Mr. Jonathan and Ms. Michelle were extremely professional, clean and skilled. They put tinting on a two-story entryway window perfectly.

Quick and thorough evaluation was done by Jonathan, as well as a discussion of differences and benefits of various films. He had plenty of samples to put up against the windows to demonstrate the visual differences before and after. I was also able to go outside to be sure that the film would not be reflective outside, and it wasn't noticeable at all. Installation went exactly as planned, with 2 installers showing up on time and getting right to work. Interior window surfaces were cleaned perfectly before film was applied, and the film application went off without a hitch. I had asked Michelle to tell her installers to be careful as we had custom draperies on many windows and didn't want them ruined by the very process that was supposed to protect them from fading.. The installers were careful and there were no issues. The single greatest benefit was nearly immediate -- we noticed a big reduction in the amount of heat coming through the windows as each room was completed. When we looked at our windows from the outside, they looked more dressy -- there was no reflectivity from the film, the glass simply had a deeper, more elegant appearance that improved the overall look of the house. By day 2, the house was cold enough that we had to raise the daytime thermostat setting by 2 degrees... with the blinds open... in July!! Our electric bill was $300 last July and nearly $400 last August (2011). We are actually excited to see the difference in our summer cooling bills this year. Michelle's team are professionals and they do an outstanding job -- no bubbles, dirt or debris under the film, just clean glass. They explained the post-installation curing and cleaning care process, which is simple. I would add that I was compelled to wash the outside of my windows after they were done though -- the inside was so clean that it seemed ridiculous to not clean the outside. If you are thinking about how to keep your house cooler during the summer, you should give Michelle a call and take a look at the new 3M window films. There is NO concern about double pane seal breakage (3M guarantee/warranty) and there is ZERO reflectivity outside (unlike older metallic films). The comfort and savings started the day of our installation, and we love the look and the feel of it. We highly recommend Carolina Premier Window Films.

Everything was done professionally and the end result was good.

It went very well. The installer was prompt, careful, courteous and very neat. The film recommended by the representative has worked beyond our expectations. For 10 years in this home, we have lived behind closed blinds most of the day. Since the film went on, our blinds have not been closed at all or even slanted to keep the sun out. We can now enjoy our landscaping. We are amazed at all the birds in our yard and birdbaths. We had no idea, because the blinds were always closed. We have done many things to our home to update or improve it. Of all we have done, this has made the most significant improvement and we wish we had done it sooner.

We had a good experience with them. The installer was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He has done major commercial work as well as home work. He was extremely professional. They were not high pressure. The material has a warranty on it. The follow up was okay, it wasn't memorable. They did have a good product and they had a good individual who was installing it. The installer was not informed by the salesman of the height of our skylights, it wasn't a huge deal but it should have been communicated to the individual. I thought the price was very fair.

Installer was coming from another job, so he did not arrive on schedule. However, once he arrived, he quickly got down to work and was very professional. After he was done, he cleaned up everything. Since we expect to see the biggest difference in the summertime, we have not noticed a change yet. If we do see the expected improvement, we would definitely consider doing other windows and using this firm.

We called their office and asked for an estimate. She returned the call and set up an appointment for the next day. Arrived on time and was very polite. Measured windows and gave a written quote on site during the appointment. The installer arrived at the agreed upon time, installed the window film and cleaned up his work space with nothing left behind.We have not seen a drastic difference in the temperature in the room yet. Very impressed with this business. We may have additional window film installed later and would definitely use this company..

I spent $1300 on that work. They were awesome. She came over and gave us a quote and stuck to it. They came out when she said they would and did the work. I have no complaints about them. I am going to call them again for some windows in the bathroom that I need done.

It went really well. I have a lot of small panes in my two front doors. Chris, Michelle's installer was awesome and so patient. He took the time and effort to make sure my windows were done right and if it wasn't done right he did it until it was! Thank you Chris!!! The tinting has made such a difference in my front entry, that I have forgotten that the bright light and heat were even a problem!
