MY EXPERIENCE WAS VERY POSITIVE. WHEN WE FOUND OUT THAT THE UNIT HAD TO BE REPLACED, THE TECHNICIAN REARRANGED APPOINTMENTS SO THAT WE COULD HAVE IT INSTALLED THE NEXT MORNING.

I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. TO JUST NOT EVEN RETURN A CALL (EVEN WHEN WE AGREED TO PAY!) DURING THE HOT SUMMER IS JUST POOR. THE OWNER WAS VERY HOSTILE WHEN I SPOKE WITH HIM, AND BASICALLY TOLD US THAT THEY WERE NOT GOING TO HONOR THEIR GUARANTEE. WE CALLED ANOTHER SERVICE AND THEY CAME OUT THAT DAY, DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY AND CAME BACK THE NEXT DAY AND INSTALLED A NEW COMPRESSOR FOR $850.00. NEVER WAS IT MENTIONED THAT WE NEEDED A WHOLE NEW UNIT FOR $5,000, LIKE BROTHERS WANTED US TO BUY. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORST ENEMY.
Description of Work: BROTHERS CAME OUT AND DID REPAIR WORK FOR OUR HOME PRIOR TO OUR CLOSING ON THIS PROPERTY. THE UPSTAIRS A/C WAS FOUND TO HAVE A RESTRICTION, AND THE TECHNICIAN REPAIRED IT TO THE TUNE OF $755.00. WE CLOSED ON THE PROPERTY, AND WITHIN 2 WEEKS THE AIR WAS NOT WORKING AGAIN. BROTHERS CAME OUT AND SAID THAT THE SYSTEM SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN FIXED IN THE 1ST PLACE, THAT WE NEEDED A NEW SYSTEM ($5000) BUT THEY WOULD BE GLAD TO GIVE US THE $755 TOWARDS THIS. WE TOLD THEM TO JUST TRY AND GET US COLD AIR SO WE COULD MAKE A DECISION AS TO WHAT WE NEEDED TO DO AFTER THEIR MIS-DIAGNOSIS. THE TECHNICIAN REPAIRED IT AND SAID HE DIDNT KNOW HOW LONG IT WOULD LAST. 2 WEEKS LATER, IT DID IT AGAIN AND THIS TIME BROTHERS REFUSED TO COME OUT AND FIX IT (PER THEIR WARRANTY) UNLESS WE AGREED TO PAY FOR THIS SERVICE ($500). WE DECIDED WE NEEDED AIR AS IT WAS 100+ DEGREES UPSTAIRS AND AGREED TO PAY FOR THIS SERVICE. WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR THEM TO COME OUT AT LEAST 3 WEEKS LATER.

THEY CAME THE SAME DAY I CALLED, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SUMMER, WHICH I THOUGHT WAS GOOD, AND THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE.
Description of Work: THEY REPAIRED A LEAK THAT RUINED MY FLOOR, AND INSTALLED AN EASY TRAP ON THE DRAIN LINE THAT TURNS OFF THE SYSTEM IN THE EVENT OF A LEAK, BEFORE WATER STARTS TO COME OUT OF THE SYSTEM. I ALSO HAD THEM DO A COMPLETE TUNE UP ON THE SYSTEM.

THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME A WHOLE BUNCH OF MONEY THAT I APPARENTLY DIDNT NEED TO SPEND. I HAD THEM DO THE REPAIR ONCE, AND THEY FIXED IT. THEN THEY CAME BACK AND CHECKED IT BECAUSE I HAD ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH THE SAME UNIT AND THE PART WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, WHICH IS WHY I CALLED. THEY SAID THAT I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE UNIT FOR ABOUT $3,000. I DECIDED TO GET A SECOND OPINION, AND FOUND THAT THERE WASNT ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE UNIT AT ALL. I TURNED ON THE BREAKERS THAT BROTHERS LEFT TURNED OFF AND THE SYSTEM WAS BLOWING COLD AIR JUST FINE.

A 1000% MARKUP SEEMS RIDICULOUS TO ME FOR READILY AVAILABLE PARTS-AND THE TECHNICIANS ATTEMPT TO SCARE ME INTO A WILLINGNESS TO PAY THAT HIGH PRICE FOR WHAT WAS IN REALITY A COMMON, READILY AVAILABLE, INEXPENSIVE COMPONENT SEEMS A SIGN OF A LACK OF INTEGRITY AT WORST, OR INCOMPETENCE AT BEST.
Description of Work: TECHNICIAN TOM ADVISED ME HE WOULD HAVE PROBLEMS FINDING THE REPLACEMENT MOTOR I NEEDED AND ITS COST WOULD BE IN THE $400-500 RANGE. I CALLED AN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY HOUSE, AND WITHIN 20 MINUTES HAD THE MOTOR BOUGHT FOR $40.48. INSTALLED IT MYSELF IN A HALF HOUR.

THEY LOST MY BUSINESS FOR GOOD. ALSO, BE AWARE THAT THEY WILL NOT COME OUT ON HOLIDAYS OR WEEK-ENDS UNLESS YOU HAVE A SERVICE CONTRACT. I DONT APPRECIATE BLACKMAIL EITHER. I AM GLAD THEY ARE PRETTY BUSY SO THEY DONT NEED MY BUSINESS ANYMORE.

I CALLED AND THE OFFICE SAID HE DID NOT HAVE THE PART WITH HIM. I CALLED AND SPOKE TO THE OWNER, BECAUSE I FELT THAT HE SHOULD HAVE HAD THE PART WITH HIM TO INSTALL TODAY. THE OWNER HAD HIM MEET ANOTHER ASSOCIATE TO GIVE HIM THE PART FOR MY HOME. WHEN HE ARRIVED AT MY HOME, HE WAS UPSET, AND TOLD ME HE WAS ANGRY AT ME FOR SPEAKING TO HIS BOSS. HE REPLACED THE TRANSFORMER, AND THE UNIT STILL DID NOT WORK. AT THAT TIME, HE SAID IT MUST HAVE BEEN THE HEAT PUMP THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. I TOLD HIM THAT I WANTED HIM TO GO AND NOT DO ANY MORE WORK FOR ME. I CALLED ANOTHER COMPANY THAT CAME OUT AND SAID THAT THE PARTS HE HAD INSTALLED WERE WRONG.

I HAD BROTHERS COME TO CHECK MY HEATING AND AC SYSTEMS. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS AND HAVE LIVED IN THE HOUSE FOR 1 YEAR. WHEN I CALLED BACK TO SCHEDULE THE WORK I WAS TOLD IT WAS A HIGHER PRICE. THE TECHNICIANS WERE BOTH PROMPT AND POLITE. MY SYSTEMS CHECKED OUT FINE. I WAS GIVEN TWO SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT RECOMMENDATIONS. ONE TECHNICIAN SAID TO REPLACE A PART ON BOTH SYSTEMS AND THE OTHER TECHNICIAN SAID TO REPLACE A PART ONLY ON THE SYSTEM DOWNSTAIRS. UNFORTUNATELY, IF YOU DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HVAC SYSTEMS YOU ARE AT THEIR MERCY. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY OF THE ADDITIONAL WORK PERFORMED.

WAS SUPPOSE TO COME BACK THE NEXT DAY FIRST THING IN THE AM AND CALL FIRST. I CALLED 3 TIMES DURING THE DAY BECAUSE THE GUY NEVER CALLED OR SHOWED UP. FINALLY, LATE IN THE AFTERNOON THE GUY SHOWED UP WITH NO WARNING AND NO CALL. I HAD TO SPEND THE WHOLE DAY OFF WORK WAITING FOR THE GUY TO CALL/COME WITH A POSSIBLE LEAK IN THE FURNACE. TURNS OUT I DIDNT NEED A NEW FURNACE; JUST THE CHIMNEY CLEANED. I WASNT HAPPY WITH THE WHOLE SITUATION.
