Affordable Chimney

He called 10 minutes prior to arriving at my house and showed up right on time. From start to finish, he was very pleasant and professional. I had a few questions, not having used a fireplace in quite a few years and he answered each and every one, and with a sense of humor! He brought his own materials, took care to remove his shoes, and covered the entire area (hearth and carpet) with canvas cloth. He did a very thorough job. He also gave me a mini-lesson on fire safety at my request (what to burn/what not-to-burn) showed me how to open and close the damper and made certain I was comfortable using the fireplace safely. When he was finished, he gave me a printed report showing pictures of the chimney cap, flue, and motor joints - more information than I ever expected - explaining repairs/maintenance needed down the road. I will definately recommend him to anyone who appreciates an eye for detail and I will call him for any/all my chimney needs.

Chris came out on-time and inspected and cleaned our chimney. He provided a detailed report with photos showing potential future problems. He also answered my questions and recommended options for converting my fireplace to gas (Which he doesn't even sell or do).

The owner, Chris Brown, was the one that came out to do the work. He was prompt and quick in coming out. He was a very pleasant person. We had to pass for inspection before we sold our house and we were able to do so after he was done.

Showed up on time, gave me more information than I had expected for the inspection. Cleaned the chimney, never got a spot on my white carpet.

I was very impressed with the quality of work and the price was reasonable. Chris was punctual and explained what he was doing. He told us we could go every 2 years, when we planned on having the inspection done annually. I was impressed with because of his honesty.

Chris came by and inspected/cleaned the chimney. He used the "quiet" vacuum and it didn't even wake the baby. On the report, we got a picture from the inside of the chimney. Whole deal took less than an hour.

Chris is a wonderful find. I had been given some suspect information from another chimney company and went to Chris for a second opinion. He gave me an honest opinion about what my chimney needed and a thorough explanation of my options. He was prompt and courteous. My advice is to have him inspect your chimney before you pay lots of money to another chimney company for repairs! As a bonus, his price for the crown and cap was lower than two other quotes I received.

HE WAS VERY HONEST. HE TOLD ME WHAT THE SERVICE CHARGE WAS UP FRONT AND WENT UP THE LADDER TWICE. HE SHOWED ME THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CHIMNEY CAP AND TO REASSURE ME THAT EVERYTHING WAS FINE WITH IT. HE SAID THAT NOT ONLY DID I NOT HAVE ANY SQUIRRELS UP THERE BUT THERE WAS NOT A SQUIRREL NEST. THE PREVIOUS CHIMNEY COMPANY LIED TO ME AND TOLD ME THAT WE HAD A SQUIRREL NEST. HE ALSO TOOK PICTURES TO PROVE TO ME THAT THERE WASN'T A NEST. HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Chris remembered to call me before he arrived so that I could meet him. He arrived on time. He cleaned both flues of our chimney and swept one fireplace, taking care not to make a mess in the house. He was very knowledgeable of chimney's and gave us a report with photos for us to keep. Would definitely use him again.

Chris Brown did an excellent job. He was running late due to bad traffic on 77 (not his fault) and had the courtesy to call and let me know he would be late. I appreciated that since I was taking time off from work that morning. He was very straightforward and professional and did not push any 'extras' to fatten the bill. He did, however, give me a realistic estimate of the cost and effort that would be involved in re-doing our fireplace. I will definitely recommend him to anyone, and will be calling him later in the year for further repairs. He is extremely knowledgeable and took time to answer all my questions. He also took his shoes off when entering the house and cleaned up the small mess--a very courteous and thoughtful gesture.

CHRIS BROWN CLEANED OUR CHIMNEY A MONTH OR SO AGO BUT SAID NOT TO USE IT UNTIL HE COULD REPAIR THE CHIMNEY FLUES. TIME WENT BY AND HE GOT OVERWHELMED WITH WORK, BUT HE CAME ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND DID A TEMPORARY FIX UNTIL HE COULD FIND A REPLACEMENT FLUE SO WE COULD USE OUR FIREPLACE. HE DID NOT CHARGE US FOR THE TRIP BECAUSE HE FELT BAD ABOUT NOT HAVING BEEN ABLE TO HELP US SOONER. I CALLED HIM SEVERAL TIMES, AS HE'D REQUESTED, TO SEE IF HE'D BEEN ABLE TO FIND A NEW FLUE. HE HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO SO, BUT HE CAME AND FIXED IT AS BEST HE COULD, SO IT WOULD BE SAFE FOR US TO USE.

CHRIS ARRIVED WITH BUSINESS CARD IN HAND. HE WAS EXTREMELY PERSONABLE. HE SET OUT A DROP CLOTH. THERE WAS NO MESS WHEN HE WAS DONE. I APPRECIATE THE WRITTEN REPORT WITH COLOR PHOTOS, AND HIS ANSWERS TO ALL OF MY QUESTIONS. IF YOU CAN GET HIM, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHRIS.

CHRIS ARRIVED EXACTLY ON TIME. HE DRAPED EVERYTHING AROUND THE FIREPLACES AND WAS ESPECIALLY CONSCIENTIOUS ABOUT MAKING SURE NOT TO TRACK MUD INTO THE HOUSE. HE WAS VERY PERSONABLE AND PLEASANT, YET DID HIS WORK QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY. HE TOOK DIGITAL PICTURES OF THE FIREPLACES, THE CHIMNEY AND THE FLUE FROM THE ROOF, PRINTED THEM OUT ON A PORTABLE PRINTER AND EXPLAINED HIS FINDINGS TO ME. HE WAS DETAILED AND THOROUGH. IN SHORT, VERY PROFESSIONAL.

CHRIS GOT MIXED UP ON THE DAY AND ACTUALLY CAME A DAY EARLY, BUT DID GOOD WORK AND WAS VERY PERSONABLE, HELPFUL AND ANSWERING ALL MY QUESTIONS.

CHRIS WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. HE EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS DOING AND THOROUGHLY REVIEWED HIS INSPECTION REPORT WITH US. ALTHOUGH WE WILL BE USING GAS LOGS AND WON'T NEED OUR CHIMNEYS CLEANED AGAIN, WE WOULD CERTAINLY HIRE CHRIS AGAIN IF WE NEEDED MORE WORK DONE.
