Porch Outfitters Inc. did exactly what they told us they would do. They did it on time and on budget. I was very pleased with them.

Met John at the Savannah Home Show. Immediately tried to sell me a plastic window version of the screen room which we had zero interest in. Made appointment to have him come out and give us an estimate. Was very professional and called in advance to verufy time. He gave us a quote on the spot. Two other vendors took more time and then really didn't follow up or ask for my business. John also asked us what else we needed and we said a porch floor. He showed us some concrete blocks that loked interesting but the price was way out of our budget. Met Dave, the owner. on a follow up visit to their showroom and we decided on a better door for the screened porch since it would have a lot of traffic. We cut a deal on the spot and everyone was pleased. At the very last minute I saw some different colored channel and Dave said no problem; and no extra cost. Install team of Arturo and Cleveland were absolutely the best. They had a QC person come out and inspect the job afterwards. Required only one slight adjustment which was no a hassle at all. I wish every contractor was this professional.

We are enjoying our porch. We were very concerned about the length of time it took for work to start after they took our very large deposit. It took many phone calls, and our decision to cancel the job and put it back out to bid, until we finally got on their schedule -- nearly 4 months after taking our deposit. The delay was not with zoning, building inspection or homeowners association rules, primarily it was that they didn't even start the approvals process until 8 weeks after accepting our check, and then because of employee turnover, different people in their office kept asking us (the homeowners) for the same information over and over, as if there were no notes in the file explaining even the basics of our job. When the construction finally started, it went quickly, with them using other subcontractors (we think) to do phases of the job. We weren't home the afternoon that the decking subcontractors did their work or we would have asked for deck screws rather than nails, because everyone knows that in the South nails will pop up as the wood cures. They like to use nail guns, of course, for speedy work, but the screws are better quality. The raised nails are a safety hazard in bare feet and we're constantly pounding them in as they pop up. This was a very pricey porch product but we've had heavy winds and rain, and the roof and sides are holding tight. It looks good and the roof joining was done well so that the addition doesn't look like an afterthought. Porch Outfitters offers a nice finished look and it's unfortunate we must warn others here about the lengthy delays in construction, but be forewarned about their sales promises to have the thing built a month after taking your check. With us it was four times that amount and we lost the entire temperate spring season. We had to wait until fall to really use it because it is too hot here most summer days.

They were very professional. They came to my house gave me estimates on different kinds of materials plus told me all about their different warranties. Showed me demonstrations on each product, plus colors and sizes. They weren't pushy. Told them what I would like to have done with my porch and they said they could do it. I was a little set back by the price but after getting other estimates I decided that they had the best deal.

Project not completed until nearly four months after contract signed. Poor communications early on. Once work was underway, they did a great job.

It was fine. I think they did pretty good. They did a lot of follow ups. The project manager came out and they inspected it and made adjustments. Everything was made to our satisfaction.

They have very excellent reputation in the area. They did very high quality work. The people who came really knew what they were doing. I have a 10% hold back until their supervisor comes over and walks the job. I am totally happy that I don't pay them the last 10% until I am satisfied. Their sales people are very well qualified and really know what they are doing. I had a paver patio put down first before the screen room went up. Both the paver folks and the screen room folks did a very good job. They were very easy to work with. They really look up to quality. I saw the end of the screen room and the person who had erected it went all around and spray painted all around where they had scratched the aluminum and also replaced some things that was not right. They are very comprehensive in what they give you when they are finished. Everything was up to my satisfaction. They were a little pricey.
