Diamond Pools & Spas

Our entire experience with Diamond Pools & Spas was terrible. Told them upfront we not only needed weekly pool maintenance, but quickly needed a pool heater, cover, and ladder installed. Being stuck at the house during this quarantine, one of the few perks we had was the pool but we needed at least the heater to use it. We also said if this company could take care of our current pool properly, we would be replacing the vinyl pool with a fiberglass or concrete one in the winter. My wife and I both asked multiple people in person and through email how quickly we could get it heated. Even when there was mention of a delay on the pool cover, we clearly kept saying we needed the heater as fast as possible. Didn't get the estimates until we asked to cancel service. We literally begged them to take our money. Should have been the easiest sale they had all season. Every single week there was an issue with the service too. For the first three weeks, the tech never even touched the bottom of the pool. No scrubbing or vacuuming or cleaning. Lots of debris just kept building up. When I said to cancel for that as well since cleaning the entire pool including the bottom was what we were paying for, I was simply told the tech would be talked to and the cleaning corrected. Then a week or two later, our pool turned green and something was obviously wrong. The tech came and did the cleaning. He could see something was very clearly wrong. He cleaned then left without saying anything to us or even looking into the issue. Same tech my wife kept telling me seemed high every time he was here. When I asked them for an explanation, their initial response was to blame our electrician for adding an outlet outside. Even though he clearly left the pool equipment running. The story then changed to a faulty valve on the filter. They put one type of valve in without approval or permission. Then immediately sent a repair estimate for $600 for another valve and an unnecessary sand change. I kept asking why if the equipment was broken, would the tech not tell us that or have tried to fix it before we kept pushing about the obviously green pool. The owner of the company literally told us that there was no way the tech would have known this. He didn't check any of the equipment. Ready for this? One of the services plainly listed in the weekly service was to check all pool equipment to make sure it was working properly. I canceled our service again and told them how ridiculous it is to have to keep asking why the services we were paying for were not being done. The final straw? Owner not only didn't apologize for this atrocious lack of service, but sent me a final bill charging us in full for the services they didn't provide and the valve we didn't ask for. You should absolutely avoid these amateurs at all costs unless you want to throw money down the drain and spend every week watching them not do what they're contracted for and having to follow up yourself.
