Allie at Blanton's took care of contacting the tenant and setting up the appointment to evaluate our problematic heat pump system (tenant had reported instances when AC would not turn on until temps got into 80's). Tech went out to property and did the service. Though our tenant reported that he was only there for 15 minutes, all has been well. Allie communicated well with me, which is greatly appreciated. We plan to set up Preventative Maintenance with them. Hoping all continues to go well! (Previous company had poor communication with us and there were problems after problems with the systems.)

We gave Blanton's a call on Saturday when our AC stopped working. They were able to come out Sunday morning and resolve the issue. They offered fast, polite service and got the job done quickly. We were very pleased and will use them in the future.

Brian and his team came out to look at my HVAC unit which because of the extreme cold weather this past winter in SC had caused the HVAC unit to stop making heat. They diagnosed the problem as a bad compressor and attempted to replace it. Unfortunately, in the process of recharging the unit they determined that the whole system was failing and proposed a new replacement unit. I was not familiar with the unit Brian recommended but after some online research to review the manufacturer and discussion with neighbors, I agreed with his recommendation. The team responded promptly and replaced the unit within couple of days. They were professional, courteous and did a nice job with the installation, even though the location of the HVAC was a bit awkward. Brian explained how the unit was operated and even returned a few days later to check and adjust the coolant levels to make sure the system operated properly. I would recommend Blanton's and will use them again.

We had used Blanton's before and were happy with the service we received. The tech was very polite and professional, and did a good job of explaining the job/problem to us. In the end, we found a company that would do the work for less, and went with them. It was purely a financial decision and was in no way a reflection on our experience with Blanton's.

On time for both visits. They were even early to the first visit?don't think that's ever happened for any service call for me. I loved that there was a specific time instead of a window of call time. They took their shoes off while inside to not leave a trail of dirt in the house. Allie in the office was always there to answer questions. She also took the time to fill out our Rebate form for SCE&G. The house is nice and cool and our ac bill dropped $100 from July to August (we opted for the 16 SEER unit).

We came home from vacation on a Saturday afternoon to an extremely hot house and immediately called Blanton's Mechanical. They had a serviceman, Brian, out to our house within 2-hours of the call. He looked over and tested both the units and quickly assessed we had a dead compressor (most likely from a lightening strike) and that the blower unit was rusted and leaking. He reviewed our options and prices for a more efficient system and thermostat. Blanton's team arrived first thing Monday morning to install the new system and better thermostat. The servicemen were polite and conscience of cleanliness. They fully removed all parts of the old system and were finished in just a few hours. The bill was exactly as estimated, and I would use them again anytime!

The tech, Frederick, was friendly and professional. Came to the door with shoes covered to protect our floors and did the job in an efficient and timely manner. We called on Friday and he came Monday , Labor Day and we were not charged an extra holiday rate. Did not try to charge us for unneeded services. W Burns Summerville

They arrived within 30 - 40 minutes after I called. The broken pipe was replaced along with adding a shut off valve that I could access easily. I have used Blanton's for plumbing and HVAC and they are the best!

A/C went out during a hot Charleston Summer Saturday. Said they would be along in about 2 hours, but in the end it was about 6 hours after the call. They showed up 2 hours late without calling to say they would come later. This was due to the owner having a birthday and went out to dinner with family, so will give them a pass as you have to celebrate at least on your birthday. Otherwise, they were helpful, diligent, and went out of their way to not only get running again, but double check there was not something else wrong. The price was fair for a weekend emergency call out, and in the end they showed up late on a Saturday. As they say, better late than never. It would have been hard to sleep without a/c.

I had a new 16 seer High efficient AC system installed in my home by Blanton?s Mechanical & Sons. The crew arrived at the set time and worked together as a team installing my new system and did not stop until it was done. All the guys were clean cut, courteous and well-mannered taking off their shoes or wearing booties each time they came in. Finding out they also did plumbing, I also got them to fix my hose bib that was leaking while they were there. I got 3 estimates and Blanton?s Mechanical was in the middle, but they seemed more knowledgeable and not just trying to make a sale. I will use them for all my air conditioner and plumbing needs in the future.

They were on-time and did a good job. Very courteous and professional. Would use them again.

I had made contact with a total of 4 other well-known local Charleston heating & air companies. I was not familiar with Blanton's but did see them on Angie's list so added them to companies I was contacting for free inspection/appraisal. All $ estimates were the same between companies. I chose Blanton's over the others due to the following: they were initially 'heads above the rest' - scheduling with me & after inspection promptly getting back to me by phone and by e-mail with a very professional detailed and thoroughdescription of the work that I needed to have performed (with pictures of my unit & ductwork displaying wear - they went underneath my crawlspace to provide a picture of external ductwork). I had companies inspect my split system in garage & in yard while I was at work - one well-known company called me at work from my driveway and when I told them where to get under the house they said why would they need to go under there? Another well-known company I contacted and had a long conversation with never got back with me & when I called again could not remember talking with me & then after inspecting never got back with me, and so forth. One company actually said they could not provide services to me due to a conflict of interest - that another local heat & air company owner had my same last name! Over a period of 2-weeks I had 5 different evaluations or attempts at evaluations, and as I said, Blanton's kept coming up 'heads above the rest'. I am enjoying cold air this summer &am looking forward to a warm home this winter. I would highly recommend Blanton's to others. I researched their product Goodman, and Goodman is current day running neck to neck with Carrier product. Local company with Carrier product pretty much just wanted to sell me their product - actually said I could just use my old same external ductwork , drains, etc. - when I knew better from Blanton photos as well as what was already visible. Lesson to pass on to others from my experience: product is important, but installation (installers!) is even more important.

It went fine. It was a little confusing because my A/C unit had been hit by lightning and wasn’t working. Blanton first said that it was fried and needed to be replaced. Since it was a rental property, the insurance company was only going to pay half (minus my deductible) since it was 10 years old. So I decided not to do that. Afterwards, Blanton stated that they could repair it for $2270. The insurance company reimbursed me $1270, so it was 1000 out-of-pocket.

I contacted Blanton's Mechanical, 23 June 14, to inquire about the installation of a new thermostat in my home. The professionalism of this company was apparent from my first interaction with office staff. Allie was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with my numerous questions about the services and potential/approximate costs. She suggested that I speak with one of the installment professionals for further elaboration on technical issues. Nathan called me that afternoon and thoroughly explained the options (given my concerns). On 26 June 14, the installation team, Frederick and Brandon, arrived within the pre-arranged time frame and installed the thermostat. They were courteous, professional, and knowledgeable about the devices. Frederick patiently answered my (sometimes redundant) questions about the installation/performance of the thermostat and remote, as well as warranty considerations. In addition to the installation of the thermostat, I spoke with Frederick about HVAC issues associated with my plan to finish a FROG. He measured the space, determined the tonage of the unit and discussed concerns/options with regard to the project. What is noteworthy is the fact that he was not obligated to provide this additional service, but did so....and without additional cost for what turned out to be a pretty thorough consultation. I was very satisfied with my interactions with this company from start to finish. I would highly recommend Blanton's Mechanical to others and would use them in the future without hesitation. The company also honored advertised coupons.

Both systems inspected in a timely and deliberate manner. Problems were correctly determined and repair costs explained. Materials for repair were on the truck so there was no delay in getting unit up and running again. The service technician was very professional , knowledgeable and friendly. He was also very patient in answering dozens of my "how and why" questions. A good 2 hour experience. I will definitely be using Blanton's again for my heat /ac repair needs and suggest that others give them a try..

I purchased an Angie's list Big Deal for Blanton's to diagnose a problem I was having with my AC. I had a prompt response from Blanton's, and they scheduled an appointment within my time schedule. They were very responsive to phone calls to get everything set up. They gave me an appointment time instead of a window, which allowed be to arrange my time away from work. On the day of the diagnosis, the repair technician called me to let me know that he was running a bit late due to traffic. I was the first appointment of the day. He showed up about 15 minutes late, but he let me know ahead of time. I really like how responsive they are to their customers. The technician correctly diagnosed the issue, and did not try to up-sell me additional things that I did not need. The cost of the repair was pretty large, so I went out and got two more quotes. Ultimately, I ended up not going with Blanton's due to cost, but instead chose another service that also had favorable reviews on Angie's list. Blanton's quote was in line with one of the other company's quote, but was nearly 2x higher than another provider. I found this surprising for a repair to a piece of equipment which was still covered under warranty. Even though I chose not to go with Blanton's, I had a very good experience, and the only reason for not getting an "A" was the cost.

Blanton's Mechanical did an excellent job. The service technicians were extremely professional and prompt. They completed the job as promised and stood behind their work. The owners and the office staff were friendly and very efficient. They are very ethical and followed up with me to ensure that I was happy with the quality of the completed work. I highly recommend this company to anyone that needs spray foam insulation installed/applied.

Aaron and Nate showed up to my house at the time there office said they would, the were very professional and both introduced there self's to use. They laid plastic threw out the house to avoid making a mess. After everything was complete and running they showed me how to operate my new thermostat and showed me that both the heating and cooling were working. Due to there quality and professionalism i will be using them annually for my maintenance.

Awesome, quick, and honest.... something you do not see in AC repair in the south.

Blanton's called the day prior to our appointment to confirm the appointment time and that someone would be available to let the technicians into the areas they needed to access. Blanton's service technicians and the office called to inform me of the time that the techs would arrive. I was told how many people to expect as they were performing a lot of work that day. It actually took two days to ensure everything was set and completely correctly. the main tech Brian even came out the following day to ensure that everything was in working order and to answer any questions we had. They were awesome. Upon a timely and on time arrival they introduced themselves respectfully and explained what they would be doing. All those who entered the house wore those little sock booties over their shoes. Very kind and polite everyone of them. They replaced my a/c unit with a trane and took the time to show me exactly what I was doing with the thermostat to set it and change it over from heat to cold. I could not have asked for a better company to help me out. Blanton's even afforded me a follow up call to make sure we were happy with the a/c, thermostat, and humidifier we had decided to have installed. They even set something called an SSI so that if there is a clog in the drain line the unit would shut down automatically and not get water all over my attic. Love Blanton's and would heartily use them again in the future for any maintenance plumbing or HVAC work.

The workers where reliable, honest and professional I would use them again and recommend them.

The tech was clean and very polite. He came to the door and told me he would start on the outside unit. I told him he would need a ladder for the inside unit. After he finished cleaning the outside unit he came back with a ladder and booties for his shoes. He cleaned the unit in the attic. He let me know the attic light bulb was burned out and asked me if I would like him to change it while he was up there. He told me my ductwork was in good shape and adjusted a couple dampers. (Our daughter's room wasn't getting enough air flow). He checked the temperature output at a couple vents and in my daughters room after making the adjustment. He checked the calibration of my thermostats. He did tell me some more insulation would help with my heating and cooling costs.(As the upstairs was warmer due to being on a zone system) He suggested spray foam insulation and said they could send somebody to estimate it for me.

Whole job went well. The company was even able to come a day earlier than scheduled.

I expected the worst, call the AC guy.. so expect to PAY big was my thought..Not even close!!. Brian arrived early (thats a first for AC companies), he was polite and immediatly went to work inspecting the issue for my AC. After about 20 minutes he found the problem and repaired it quickly. The BEST about Blanton's was there was no Up-sell, he did not tell me I needed this or that as the last company did. (my house is only 7 years old).. he fixed the problem quickly and ran a freon test and did a full inspection and came back all was working and okay.Before he left he tested the return & supply and said all was good. It might seem a bit expensive to have someone replace a fuse and fix a broken copper wire, But I could have never found the problem that quickly. Well worth every penny. Tonight I sit in my home at 76 degrees after 6 weeks of hesitating who to call and wishing for AC. Blanton's is who I will use for any Heating or AC problem in the future.
