I called Blanton's Mechanical and Sons at 8:15am this morning after a no-show by another firm that I had scheduled service for today and the operator was super friendly and helpful. She told me that she had another tech in the area and that as soon as he was finished she would have him come to my home. Ten minutes later she called back and said that Brian would be at my home to inspect the unit. Sure enough, Brian was at my door promptly at 8:35. Brian was extremely professional from the moment he entered the home, even placing booties on his feet to protect the floor without being asked to do so. Within an hour, Brian had resolved the issue with the drain without adding on unnecessary repairs, and provided recommendations on how to maintain the system going forward to prevent like issues from cropping up again.

Sorry I am a little bit late in submitting this review- the work was done in June. Our upstairs A/C stopped working in May--it was just circulating hot air. It had gotten to almost 100 degrees up there. I have my mother with us who is in her 80's and could not handle the heat. I had called another provider listed on Angie's List, and made an appointment, but after looking at the unit, they said it could be up to two weeks for them to locate that particular size coil. I didn't know what to do, but we just decided to tough it out. My mother, my husband and I all slept uncomfortably downstairs. We still had to go upstairs for various things, and after about a week, we just couldn't handle it anymore, so I called. Blanton's. I told Jimmy what had transpired, and I was able to read the model # off of our unit so he could check while I was on the phone if they had that part, saving another trip out here. They had the part by the next day and they came out and did the work. It was so good to have cold air again!!! They even matched the price that the first company was going to charge us. When it came time to pay I was nervous because I had given the first company a deposit, and so I only had roughly half of the money needed. I paid a part of the bill, and Jimmy trusted me to get a refund from the first company, which took a week or so.

The short version is that the tech showed up right on time while being extremely courteous and professional. This is a second home that we recently purchased, so we wanted to get an idea of how the HVAC systems were really looking and what we should be expecting in the way of future repairs. The tech took his time in inspecting everything and gave us a detailed report. He said the systems were in good shape except for one part that might go in the future. He did not try to get me to do any repairs at that time. Update: While we spending some time at the house again in the month of June (all those days of temps above 100 degrees) that part the tech warned us about blew out and the AC unit on the main floor stopped working. I made a call out to Blanton's and instead of putting me off for days, they actually were able to get the same tech back out to our property that day. He replaced the old part (which he gave to me) and the AC fired right back up. Total charge for everything was right around $200 which I thought was extremely fair.

They were very friendly, professional and efficient. I would definitely recommend them!

The guy who showed up was great and very pleasant to have around. He was helpful and we felt that he was being very honest in his assessment of our unit which is something we really appreciated. We believe that they will continue to do a good job and will have them come out twice a year to service our unit. While we feel their prices are a little high we can also agree that you get what you paid for and they did a good job.

I understand this company in not responsible for the performance of my system. However, I routinely requested the preventative maintenance to insure these issues would be addressed by a professional and avoid situations like #4, where my ceiling crashed into the living room as a result of a clogged drain and bad float switch. With the frequency of their visits, I have to say how deeply disappointed I am with the recent chain of events. The next time I have preventative maintenance done, I'll be seeking a much more thorough inspection. I did request to speak with Mr Blanton, and was told he'd call me. Never received a call, so I followed up with the nice lady in the office. Instead of Mr Blanton speaking with me, the receptionist decided to not charge me for the last visit. I would have liked to speak with him, but I guess that does not fit his customer service model. I would have liked them to be my "go to" company. Fortunately, there are lots of others to choose from.

Very polite. Very prompt. I explained what was going on- a clicking noise at the thermostat, and right away he knew what to look at. I was impressed with the service, his knowledge, and that they cared enough to come right on out.

I called to make an appointment with Blanton's and was told I would be called before they came out. I was called as the tech was on the way and a little early too. That was fine with me as I am a stay at home mom. The tech arrived and let me know they would be starting outside and then would be coming in to check the machinery inside. The tech was very polite and courteous used the little booties on his shoes and let me know when he was finished. Love Blanton's Greatest company ever. I would use them for everything if I could. I would 110% recommend Blanton's to everyone.

Serviceman assessed the problem to be a broken beyond repair water heater. Presented a proposal of $1220 for its replacement. Due to the excessive cost, and my concern over how my budget would handle this expense, my tenant looked a little further into the problem.With the aid of the manual that came with the unit and a google search, he came up with a dirty filter to be the cause of the pilot continuing to go out. Once the filter was cleaned, the unit was back to working order . Today, 4 days later, it remains operational. To say I am disappointed in Blanton's Service is an understatement. I lodged my complaint with the company but have not received a call from them to either apologize or explain and at this point I don't want to hear from them. I view this company to be unscrupulous and will never use them again nor recommend them to anyone.

Blanton's gave us a reasonable estimate for the installation of our new gas stove. I e-mailed the company on 5/29 stating that we would like them to perform the work. We made an appointment and the night before the appointment they called us & left a vm that said they would arrive several hours after the originally scheduled time. I called to ask about the time change and was told they had rescheduled it (without consulting me). I was not able to be at home at the rescheduled time so the following day they rescheduled a second time. On this date, 6/11, they were scheduled to arrive between 8 - 10. Around 11, they called and said they were running late but would arrive by 12:30. I said that was fine, but it could not be any later as I had previously scheduled activities. Around 1:30, they called again and said they would not be able to install the stove at all that day. I was very disappointed and upset about their terrible customer service. I asked that the owners/manager call us the following week to discuss. As of today, haven't heard from them. Clearly, this company is not reliable and does not value its customers. I would not recommend this company.

The problem was the outside a/c fan stopped working and it was 100 degrees outside. We called Angie, the representative gave us their referral and we were put on the list for 7:30 am the next day. The technician - Greg - got to our house as promised. He diagnosed the problem and made the repair in good time. Later, we called the office because the house was not cooling. Greg returned, determined that the temperature difference between each air intake and the nearest register was correct and said it would take over night for the house to cool down. He was right. Job well done.

They checked out my ac system and said my evaporator coil was leaking freon. They had to order a part, but it was going to take 3-4 days to get. The office called to see if my system was still cooling, if not they would come out and charge it up with Freon to get me thru the weekend.my part came in on Monday morning and they worked me into their schedule. The tech came out, made the repair. He put booties on when he came inside to make sure it was cooling well. I even had them repair a toilet that was constantly running while he was there! It was a very expensive unexpected repair, so since I was a long time customer they divided my bill into three automatic installments with a credit card! Thank you, Blanton's for your quick response and courteous staff!

the day before they came out Blanton's Office staff called to confirm we were set with our time for our service. On the day of the change out Blanton's tech called me and let me know they were on the way and approximately what time they would be at our place as well as how many people to expect. I have used Blanton's Mechanical and sons in the past and I have nothing but great things to say about them. they are always nice, and cordial and have the utmost respect for other peoples property. they let me know exactly what they were going to do before they started working and kept me informed periodically of what steps they were taking. I contacted Blanton's to help me with my A/c unit and it turned out that I needed to replace the one I had as it was old and was working on gum and a whole lot of spit. I had just moved into this house when this happened and was very disappointed to say the least. Jimmy gave me an estimate for three different units as well as a dehumidifier and thermostat to replace the outdated ones in the house. I also asked for an estimate to replace the ducting system in the house as the house is an older one. The price I was given was very fair and included all pieces and parts needed to make the upgrades and repairs. Jimmy and his office staff as well as the tech's who worked on my home were AWESOME!!! I would use them again and again when I need to do any work. When entering my house the tech's all wore those little bootie things to ensure the dirt stayed outside. I loved it. Anyone not using Blanton's is using the wrong company. Blanton's even called me the following day to ensure everything was working properly and told me if I had any questions they were only a phone call away. I would 150% recommend Jimmy and his team!!

I will be honest in this review (because that is what people want to see). I have used Jimmy and his team in the past...they are great and I had absolutely no concerns in hiring them again. I contracted Jimmy to install some main water shut-off valves on the condo complex which I am part of the HOA. I wanted these shut-off valves in the back of the building and highly visible so new tenants (who are not familiar with the building) could find them easily in an emergency situation. Unfortunately these valves were installed in the front of the building, in the ground, in the flower beds under the pine-hay (the HOA did not want this because new tenants could not easily find these water shut-off valves....I had a hard time finding them myself). So obviously there was some-sort of HUGE miscommunication between what the customer wanted and what the provider supplied. After informing Jimmy and the Blanton team of the error and the customers dissatisfaction.....they returned the following week, they installed all the water shut-off valves the correct way and the customer is EXTREMELY HAPPY!! I don't know where the communication break-down occurred (not sure if the customer was confused or the provider....or maybe both....it doesn't matter) I have no idea if Jimmy made any money on this job (he might have lost some)....but I totally respect a guy and his crew who will go out of their way to provide excellent service and continue working until the job gets done the correct way. I would 110% recommend Jimmy and his team!!

Fast and courteous. All the parts were provided on the van and it was done within 2 hours.

Everyone I dealt with at Blanton was amazing! Everyone who called in reference to the appointment, was kind and thorough and alerted me of any delays in service. Brian, the technician who came out, was very friendly and helpful. I told him that my husband could fix the issue and he made sure that he left me with specific instructions for my husband to take care of the problem himself. I will absolutely use Blantons again!

Blanton's was quick to come out and assess the issues with the system. While it's never nice to hear that a costly repair is in order, it is good to know it will get done quickly and will be done right. Based on prior experiences, I was confident in both. They came out the next day to complete the repair and, as always, answered any questions I had. Will definitely continue to use them.

Went very well. They showed up very quickly. Service person went right to the problem. Knew exactly what he was doing. When he found a fuse blown, he did not stop there. Said he needed to know why it blew or it would just blow again. A bit of wire had worn and caused it to spark - blowing the fuse. He replaced the wires, made it so they would not wear again, replaced the fuse, then hang around for a bit to ensure the heater would come on and stay on. I am very happy with the work, the price, and their knowledge.

I've been burned by a lot of really bad HVAC work over the past 10 years. Our duct system was poorly assembled and completely undersized for the package system we had. Because of that, we had really high power bills, a chronically dusty house and, worst of all, severe moisture issues in the crawlspace. We explored the idea of re-sealing the ducts and encapsulatiing the crawlspace, but decided that the best thing to do would be to install all new equipment and run the ducts up in the attic. Nate came out to assess the job. He walked through the house and the attic, and gave me an overview of how he'd approach the job and why. He noticed a chase next to my existing return, and suggested that we could use that to run the power and drain lines in/out of the house -- he was the only guy from all any of these teams to notice the chase, which told me a lot about him as a solution-finder. He sent a bid to me within a day or two. I bid this job out to five different companies. Blanton's scope of work was far more detailed than any of the others, telling me everything about materials, number of returns, number of supply lines, how the ducts would be assembled and sealed, etc. After I chose to go with Blanton's, Nate came back out to map out a ducting plan. He did three, before deciding on one he was satisfied with. Once again, he explained the basis for his recommendations and told me what would happen every step of the way once the job started. There were no surprises. Nate originally estimated the job would take a couple of days, but it ran over by a day or two. That's the only reason I gave them a B for punctuality, but I don't fault them for that. It was a pretty big job, and honestly, I'd rather them take their time than rush. Two guys spent about three days running the ducts; on the fourth day, they had a whole team out there to get everything hooked up. That was a Friday. On Monday, Nate came back out to do a walkthrough and make sure everything was working properly and that the duct connections were all sealed properly. That was a month ago. Today, everything is still in great working order, with no glitches, no surprises. Because of my history with HVAC companies, I'm probably a very nit-picky customer. But I was very happy with the job Blanton's did, in every respect.

Brian came over to check our system and he confirmed that we needed to replace both valves and install a bypass. We scheduled the work for two days later. The team showed up late, but they called us promptly to warn us about the delay. They worked very hard for over 4 hours straight. They were very professional and friendly. I unfortunately had to rush them at the end because I needed to pick my children up from school but they were very understanding. That evening, I discovered that the system wasn't working properly. My husband called the office and Brian came in the morning first thing. Brian was able to fix the wiring promptly. He then stayed long enough to tune up a few things and make sure that it was all working perfectly. Despite the error I would not hesitate to rehire them. They were the first company (the 4 that came before, fixed nothing and took plenty of our money) who spotted all the mistakes the installing company made and fixed everything. Honest, diligent and very professional!
