I call the office in the morning and they had an opening in the late afternoon which I said would be fine. Later that morning they called and explained that they had a cancellation and could come earlier. That was fine and the technician came shortly thereafter. When he came in the house he removed his shoes, which he did every time he came in. He explained each problem and offered suggestions. He did not push for costly repairs. The problems he found were not unexpected. We are very pleased with Bllanton and would use again.

My water heater tank was located in the attic. Since it was getting old and I was never really comfortable having a big volume of water in the attic, I decided to have it replaced with a tankless unit. It was raining when Jimmy came to do the estimate and he noticed a small leak in the roof, which he went ahead and included in the estimate. Everyone else I had talked to about the leak basically suggested I just live with it since it was only a few drops a minute. They arrived on time for the installation. When I got home that evening the new tankless heater was working perfectly and there was no trace that they'd even been there, despite having carried the old heater down from the attic, down a flight of stairs and out the front door. The roof leak was also fixed and, four months later, is still fixed. I would recommend Blanton's to anyone thinking about going with a tankless water heater.

Blanton's replaced my air conditioning unit and thermostats. My old unit had been having problems for quite some time. Jimmy quickly diagnosed it as a freon leak. They arrived on time (both for the estimate and for the actual work) and everything's been working great since then. They left all workspaces clean. I would definitely use Blanton's again and would recommend them to anyone who needs similar work done.

We now know what it feels like to have cool air in our house. The unit is so quiet. It is amazing what Blanton's constructed in our attic. We are so thankful for the kindness they gave us throughout this whole process. They had a cleaning company come on the last day to wipe down our entire house. Blanton's Mechanical is a well oiled machine. They know what they are doing.

A/C unit wasn't working so I called Blanton's who regularly service our units. They came out and diagnosed problems due to nearby lightning strike and were able to order and replace parts within one week. Excellent customer service and communication by the office keeping me informed about what was happening.

It went well. I had received a quote from another provider with which I was not comfortable. So, I checked Angie's list and found Blanton's. I called and they responded immediately, provided me a solution I could live with and the installation took place without issue. They were meticulous about keeping everything clean. After they finished, they had brought their own vacuum cleaner, and vacuumed the floor before they left! Impressive!

I have a 37 year old town house in Mt P which needs a major over haul. The original HVAC unit with duct work was falling apart and very inefficient. I had 6 contractors come out and look at my old unit, duct work and proposed solutions I was visualizing. I could easily tell that Jimmy (owner of the company) knows what he is talking about (some of the other guys who visited my home were just salesmen). You get a sense of pride coming from Jimmy because it is his company...not some major corporation he is working for. So I was impressed with Jimmy but how would his 'team' do at actually installing the product? Well, they did a FANTASTIC job. His son Aaron sprayed insulation closed cell foam in my attic first and then proceeded to get to work on the split HVAC unit. The duct work looks outstanding and better than I expected. Some other companies only wanted to put 1 register in each bedroom but Jimmy & Aaron put 2 on each side of the bed room to evenly disperse the airflow so that one side of the room does not get overly hot or cold. The ENTIRE Blanton team that came out to my place were very respectable, clean, efficient and fast. The whole job took only 3 days which far exceeded my expectations. I would definitely use this company again in the future.

Jimmy Blanton came out himself to look over the project and give an estimate. He heard our concerns, answered our questions and took our needs into account and then once the contract was in process came out at least two more times to review the work. The work crew was professional, competent and timely. When the projects was finished he came back to inspect after a couple weeks. Would recommend Blanton's Mechanical without hesitation.

Overall it was very favorablle, and we highly recommend this company.

When our HVAC system failed, Blanton installed a new unit quickly in the July heat. Since then they are always courteous with their PM calls and always ready to fit into our schedules. The ladies that answer the phones are nice and helpful and I have no complaints and highly recommend using them.

I called blantons and sons on wednesday August 1 at around 2 pm ...I told them I needed to have my ac unit looked at ...as it hasn't been working for some time ...I also have had the compressor replaced 2 years before ...I was hoping for the best expecting the worst ..so I got the worst .....the A/c tech looked at the unit and told me the compressor was bad ...the capacitor was bad and the condenser was clogged ..as it had not been taken care of ...he was a nice tech but overall it was a bad experience ...he told us the repair would cost close to 3 grand to fix but recommended a new unit which would be 4500 dollars...I'm a full time student so the price was way out of my budget ...who has 4500 dollars to just drop on a new unit?...so I asked if they had any payment plan ...the answer was no ..I was forwarded to a finance company who they go through ...well they wouldn't even try to help me when I told them i was a student and self employed ...after that I guess they weren't interested in my Business. So I just paid 95 dollars which is the highest amount I have ever paid for an A/C guy to come out ..to tell me I need a new unit ..and the only reason I chose them is because they had a coupon for free diagnosis ...with repair lol ..so this all happened today August 2nd 2012

The tech diagnosed the problem as well as checked for other potential problems very quickly the first day. The tech was able to open the damper so that it would not flap as a temp work around. He ordered the replacement damper and planned to return when the part arrived. Two techs showed up the second visit and replaced the damper and ductwork very fast. The only thing that I would have changed is I would have liked for the techs to have worn shoe covers on the carpets and also cleanup fingerprints and dropped insulation. I would recommend these guys, they did a great job overall.

Everything went very well, the staff is courteous and friendly.

The project started within 10 days of receiving the proposal. The employees started early each morning and worked steadily all day. The project finished very timely. The workmanship was superior for the duct system and the insulation. The work site was cleaned each day.

Our existing air conditioning system had numerous issues due to shotty installation by the builder. The unit didn't drain properly due to the furnace not having the correct slope and as a result water was spraying into the plenum. It had saturated with water and was falling off of the furnace and allowing air to blow into the attic. The water had also run into the overflow pan and had rusted over time. The air return was too small for the size of furnace, which limited the air flow to the vents. It also sounded like a jet engine when the furnace turned on due to the air being sucked into one small return. I contacted Blanton's Mechanical & Sons because of their great reviews on Angie's list and was not disappointed. Jimmy Blanton, the owner came out and evaluated our system. He also evaluated some other areas in our house at our request with an inferred sensor to see where we were losing heating or cooling for no charge. He was friendly, very knowledgable and professional. He sent a quote the next day via email. Not knowing how long we are going to stay in this house, we decided not to do all of the work he recommend and asked for a scaled down second quote. Mr. Blanton sent an updated quote right back and it was exactly what we wanted and for a very good price. The day of the service, Mr. Blanton came back with two technicians, Kyle and Nathan, to go over all of the work first hand. He went into the attic and explained exactly what needed to be done. The technicians also were friendly, knowledgable and professional. They all took their shoes off at the door, which we didn't ask, but they said it was what they do. They put plastic on the floor and on the furniture in the room with the attic access. The guys worked all morning, through lunch and into the afternoon to complete the job. They checked the coolant pressure on the compressor and found it to be a pound low. They added the coolant and didn't even charge for it. When they finished, they asked for the vacuum so they could sweep the floor. We said they didn't have to, but they said it is what they do. Two days after the work, their office called to check and make sure everything was working fine, which I told them it was. I HIGHLY recommend Blanton's Mechanical & Sons and will have them back for all of our AC service. I learned that they also do spray foam insulation, for which I requested a quote. It is so refreshing to find a company that is easy to work with, does what they say they will do and for a good price, and then goes above and beyond in customer service.

I shopped around for a new system for about 3 weeks. My old one had stopped working. I talked with 4 or 5 different companies and got quotes from them. Mr. Blanton actually came to my house, did a thorough investigation, and told me what my choices were. He was very impressive and very easy to talk to. I finally decided to use his company. I called his office to let them know, and they asked when I would like to have it installed. Jokingly, I said yesterday. They came out the next morning at 7:30 and had everything finished and were gone by 2:00. At 3:00 someone from their company came out to see how the unit was working and made some final adjustments. I am a retired contractor, and in all my years of building, I have never seen a crew that was as fast and professional as they were. It is nice to see that someone still has that kind of work ethic. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. PS. They still call and ask how the system is working.

The HVAC man came on time & did a good job.

I called Blanton's because I was having moisture issues in my house and mold was running along the duct lines in the garage. They came out promptly and took a lot of time to figure out everything that was going on in my house. Jimmy didn't take anything for face value. He found that the return line for the bottom floor was reduced before getting to the return vent. The return vents weren't sufficient for the amount of supplied air. Jimmy explained everything along the way, and if I didn't get what he was saying, he explained it in a different way to make sure I understood. He showed me the crimping of the supply lines in the attic, he found a problem with 2 pvc pipes in the attic that weren't glued together properly, and he pointed out the barrier around the condenser making it nearly impossible for any HVAC company to service my unit. Jimmy took lots of notes and sent his tech out the next day to take a look at the air handler. Brian noticed a freon leak and a damper that wasn't balanced properly. He also pointed out a problem that my previous HVAC company said they fixed. With Brian's notes from his visit, Jimmy put together a proposal for the work that needed to be done to fix my mold issues and get my system running properly. Jimmy was very patient as I took time to get my ducks in a row before scheduling the work to be done. He was even patient with me as I made adjustments days before to be sure I wasn't wasting money on unneeded materials. Brian came out and performed the preventative maintenance and fixed the freon leak. He was not only on time, but a little early. The next morning 3 more employees came out to rewrap my duct work and fix the other items on the list. It took two days to complete, but they did a great job and made sure my ducts were sealed properly to prevent any more air leaks and condensation.

They were fantastic! I would use their services again in the future.

The whole process from initial quote to final installation and test went extremely well. I think I can sum it in a manner that most folks can appreciate by saying that Jimmy Blanton does business the old school way-say what you'll do and do what you say! A rarity now days!! All activities over the course of this 4 day effort were scheduled and the schedule was maintained. The crew arrived on time every day and kept moving. Daily reports were provided by Jimmy and/or the crew which I found extremely helpful as I was away most of each day. Communication was very good. The crew was very courteous and professional. Again, a rarity now days. My wife, who was at home through most of the work felt very comfortable with the guys which was extremely important. They were very polite. Nate, Brian, Cruz, Shane, Aaron. Chad, (and I probable forgot one or two)...THANKS for your professionalism and for a job well done. The new system has now been in place for approximately 2 weeks and I couldn't be happier. The quality of the work is great and the system appears to be functioning as advertised. In summary, when you make the decision to spend the kind of money that we did for this job, you certainly do not want ANY buyer's remorse. And to date, no complaints at all! I would highly recommend Blanton's Mechanical. UPDATE 4/11/14: Unfortunately, I now have "buyers remorse". Shortly after my initial review above, the A/C side of my system developed (and still has) a terrible odor-something called "dirty sock" syndrome. Blanton's Mechanical informed me that it is caused by "environmental" conditions within my home although I never had the concern before the new system was installed; but, they could not tell me specifically what in my home is causing the problem. Over the course of the past 2 years, Blanton's has progressively tried to sell me different solutions to the problem ranging in price from $115 to $675 to $2000-none of which they could assure me would fix the problem - and all at my expense. From my research into this "dirty sock" syndrome, I am convinced that it is a problem with the unit, not necessarily with the installation. I believe that it is most likely the responsibility of the manufacturer - who is denying any responsibility through my direct discussions with them. I was hoping that Blanton's would step up and be an advocate for me in dealing with the manufacturer but to my knowledge, they have made no effort to contact them to discuss this concern on my behalf. Actually, they have time and again, tried to sell me solutions. As such, I can no longer recommend Blanton's Mechanical and I will certainly not recommend the manufacturer's brand. However, if something changes for the better with Blanton's and/or the manufacturer, I will write an update to this update. Generally, I believe in customer service and doing the right thing. And, as my initial write-up indicates, I believe in recognizing good service and quality. By the same token, I believe in giving people/businesses the opportunity to do the right thing and if they do not, I owe it to other consumers to communicate this as well. This has turned into a nightmare for my family. I proactively spent over $10,000 to upgrade my home and now feel that the money was flushed away and my home is much worse than ever before. Blanton's made their profit and the manufacturer got their money, while my family continues to suffer. It is all very frustrating.

It has been a few days now and my home is now comfortable on both floors. they even called to make sure I was satisfied with my service and that everything was still operating correctly.

We would absolutely recommend them. They will be there when we need them. They will be there at 7 am. They have taken excellent care of us. They were honest and told us everything. They gave us all the estimates in writing. The service was excellent. We even have two large dogs that like to eat everything so they were extremely careful about not leaving the gate open and they picked up everything that they might eat. The price was excellent.

Blanton's was prompt, efficient, considerate, and reasonably priced.

Mr. Blanton came out, gave me and estimate and promised the job would be done in 3 days or less. It was done in two days. And, this was right before Christmas! He corrected the sub-standard work done by ARS Rescue Rooter and left the house looking so wonderful, I honestly got teary-eyed when I saw it. A work of art! During the work, his men were careful to do the job as cleanly as possible. They were true professionals. After my experience with the other company(a full on nightmare), working with Blanton's Mechanical was a joy. As for anyone looking to hire this company, I would not only recommend it, I would insist on it!
