Brian did an inspection on my system and diagnosed that the settings were not correct. He explained everything and was very thorough.

Call went very well. Both the field person and the ladies in the office were very helpful. If I need any more work done I would contact them again

My initial appointment was for a diagnostic check of my A/C unit which was followed up with another appointment for preventative maintenance. Both techs that came were very knowledgeable and provided an answer to all my questions. The did a great job in an efficient and timely manner. I had no problems with the techs that came out, but the office staff fell short on communication. For the initial appointment I was advised that the appointment was btwn 3-4:30pm and that I would receive a call when the tech was on the way. I called the office a little past 4:30 to check the status of arrival. The response was "Oh, he's on his way - sorry we forgot to call you" . I also needed a follow up appointment for maintenance on the unit. The tech advised that he would call it in to the office and they would call me back with the date and time. This was a Friday. On Tuesday I called the office to check on the appointment and was given the date and time and the same response again "Sorry we forgot to call you". Fortunately I called them in time to keep be available for the scheduled appointment. I will definitely use them in the future as the overall service was great.

I called at 4 pm on a holiday and was surprised by an actual person answering - not a voicemail. I was surprised again to be told that they could sent a tech out within the hour and that there would not be an extra charge for holiday service. The tech, Brian, took his shoes off to come in the house. He ran the diagnostic, had the needed part on his truck, and had our AC back up and running in only 1 hour. He didn't try to sell us anything "extra" and provided a very reasonable quote on preventative maintenance upon request. Awesome customer service!

Great customer service is the hallmark of Blanton's as we learned through our experience working with them. They responded very quickly to our need for a new HVAC unit in the middle of summer and even filled our old ailing unit with freon to get us through the weekend as we waited for our new unit to arrive. I appreciate the care they took in laying down covers on our wood floors and the clean-up done by their technicians. Will definitely use them in the future with any problems we have!

My water heater was slowly leaking for a week, in which time I researched tankless water heaters. In the meantime, my 26 year old AC unit went out. I consulted Angie's magazine for May which featured AC companies-perfect!. I called companies on Saturday and the owner Jimmy answered the phone and my million questions. By the way, they were on Angie's honor roll. Jimmy had one of his workers in the area and within a couple hours, Brian was at my door. He was professional, clean, thorough and friendly. He looked at the unit and hot water heater, took pictures and consulted with Jimmy over the phone. He explained that I had enough power from the AC unit and water heater to handle a new unit and tankless without having to get an electrician to install a more powerful electric panel. They could have charged more, but was HONEST and saved me money. I was sold! Jimmy sent me an estimate that same day via email--WOW! Jimmy even offered to provide extra freon to keep me cool over the weekend. They were concerned about my comfort! I contacted Jimmy on Monday after researching the equipment cost and found them to be extremely reasonable. On Tuesday, May 14, the AC installation was done without a hitch. Nathan lead the team on the installation and the team was timely, very clean, professional, courteous, patient with my questions and friendly. They had to order the tankless hot water heater, so this was installed the following week. They recommended the water heater that I wanted, which was the best based on my research. I waited a few weeks before posting my review because I wanted to see whether I would have issues following the installation. This family owned company goes the extra mile. They have integrity, are honest and care about their customers. I have since used their services for other AC repairs for another home and their high standard of excellence is just that--their standard. I highly recommend this company.

I have been using Blanton' Mechanical & Sons for all my HVAC preventative maintenances. I had Jimmy come and do an inspection on my new construction home, after the builders used their company of choice. Jimmy found several issues and missing items that would make my units perform at the finest. Jimmy made me a recommended list of repairs he would do to his home. I trusted the company and his opinion so we scheduled the repairs. I was unable to be home for the call, but being I have had Nate, one of the techs in my house working several times before I felt completely comfortable with leaving the my door and alarm code. I arrived home that afternoon to find two vans in my driveway, my immediate thought I was hope the saw my trash cans while backing in. I pulled into my drive way, noticed both trash cans were put beside my house in their proper place, I then walked to my front door and found 3 pair of work boots. I walked in and Nate came down and begin to explain were the were in the process of the repairs. I didn't want my children to be in their way so we quickly backed out afternoon items up and were going to leave them to work. Before I left they were finishing up, one of the techs Chad, asked for my vacuum cleaner so he could clean up the insulation that came out of my attic. Nate, Chad and Christopher were very professional, worked quietly, and finished when they said they would. I was so impressed with their attention to detail I.E. taking off their shoes each time they exited and entered my home, cleaning the work area they worked in and not to mention performed the task at hand. Blanton's has made me raise my expectations for any service providers coming to my house. They stand out from the rest and are the best in their line of work. They are prompt and always put their customers needs first. You can not go wrong hiring Blanton's Mechanical & Sons.

It took three attempts from provider before they brought the correct water pipes requested by homeowner which caused a delay in start of work. After job was complete, the owner (company) added a large amount of money to the original estimate to compensate lost time due to not having the right water pipes. The owner (company ) was beligerant and tried to blame homeowner for his company's bringing the wrong pipes. The owner (company) used too many different workers over a three-day period. I would have preferred the same workers to complete the job from start to finish. The workers that acutally performed the work were courteous and hard working. We did not have a problem with the workers.

Blanton's was 1 of 3 contractors we contacted for an estimate. Jimmy came out the following day of my call, looked over everything, and then explained our options in detail, even with a little sketch. The quote we received was the most detailed of all of the quotes that we received, and I felt much more comfortable with Blanton's than I did the other two companies we received estimates from. The installation of everything took one full day. I was concerned it would take another half day because of the amount of work that needed to be done, but they started early and got done around 6pm. The guys put plastic down in the rooms and hallways that they were in, which I didn't expect and was pleased with. They were all very professional and thoroughly explained everything to me. Choosing someone to do this sort of work can be costly, so you want someone who is capable and trustworthy. I would definitely recommend Blanton's to anyone in the future.

Excellent service. We were contacted by Blanton's Mechanical that our annual service was coming due, we arranged the technician visit by phone. The technicians arrived precisely on time, provide a quick and thorough inspection of our system, performed cleaning of the outside unit and inspected the overall system. Courtesy phone call from the office kept us apprised of the arrival time and the service was executed as planned, on schedule and with no interruption. Well done!

ng.I found my experience with Blanton Mech. to be pleasant, and very professional. Brian who came was polite (even took off his shoes before coming in). He even took the Angie's List coupon even though it had been expired for almost two weeks. As far as I am concerned they deserve all of the good reviews that are here.This is the only AC/Heating company I see us ever using.

Blanton mechanical was a pleasure to work with. Jimmy Blanton met me at our cottage and carefully explained all of our options. He quickly emailed me detailed quotes along with all of the product information for each option. The quotes were very fair and we chose the Maytag 14 SEER unit. The work started on time and Blanton mechanical provided me with frequent email updates which was helpful because we are not full time residents. The work was completed on time and best of all, there were no surprises. When I had questions, someone always answered the phone. I would not hesitate to recommend Blanton Mechanical to anyone looking for a HVAC contractor.

Again, failed to show up for the future work, without providing advance notice. I had to contact them to find out why the work had not been performed.

The work crew were very efficient and took the old system down and replaced it with another. It has been working very well ever since.installation.

Jimmy Blanton gave what I thought was a reasonable estimate. In my opinion this was a BIG job. They began work as promised and completed the whole job in a week. He had as many as 6 or 7 people here at one time. Each individual was superb at what they did and the whole house was kept clean and livable. Jimmy visited the job site at least once a day. His people were quiet, no loud musi and considerate of us. We were concerned about being without heat for a couple days but Jimmy worked around that and we did not have any extended period without heat. Blanton's has talented people who can do the entire job without needing to wait around for subcontractors. His office staff is equally capable and responsive From us there are only accolades for Blanton's Mechanical & Sons , Jimmy Blanton, his people and the quality of work they do. We could not have had the job done any more professionally or better. We clearly selected the right people to do this job. I am happy to recommend Blanton's Mechanical & Sons.

Everything went well. Jimmy Blanton responded immediately to my call. Showed up the next day to estimate the work needed; submitted an estimate the following day; and they were on-site working on the project 4 days later. Everyone from the company with whom I interacted was polite and knowledgeable.

Jimmy Blanton (owner) mentioned that his company also did plumbing when he was out to gather information for a quote on a new heating and air conditioning system. We asked him if the addition of a laundry/utility sink in our garage was possible. He looked over the plumbing and drain situation in our house and gave us a quote on the spot. Jimmy indicated that the project might be able to be done on the same day as our heating/air conditioning installation. We bought the sink that day, and Jimmy even helped my husband move things out of the way in the garage for the installation. Cruz was able to start on this project after working on the installation of a new heating/air conditioning system at our house. He was having difficulty finding the drain and Nathan and Craig helped out. Cruz returned the next day with Chad to complete the project as the drain that they needed to tie into was higher in the wall than they expected. Cruz, Chad, Nathan and Craig were very professional and personable. The hot and cold water lines were tied in and placed so that they would be out of the way, behind the gas hot water heater. They were also insulated. Drywall and fiberboard had to be removed to locate the plumbing. This was all put back in place and the area cleaned up before they left. In addition, Cruz and Chad also helped to identify a noise problem with the plumbing--when water was turned on at the faucets there was a humming noise. This was a service that they included with the installation of the utility sink, and was much appreciated. At a near-future date our hope is that we will be able to use Blanton's services again to correct this problem.

We called Blanton's for a quote for a gas heat and a/c replacement, and Jimmy (the owner) came out the same day. He actually was able to come out earlier than scheduled, which we appreciated. He was very personable, knowledgeable and professional. He looked at the outside unit, took off his shoes before coming in the house, crawled around in the attic, and asked us questions about our experience with the heating system in general (as the a/c has not worked since before we moved in a month ago). We told him that the living room and dining room areas were always less comfortable than the rest of the house. Those are the areas with 13 foot ceilings, so we thought we just had to live with that. His assessment was that the unit was slightly undersized, and suggested a larger unit with 2 additional vents in the 13 ft. ceiling area to increase comfort. He indicated that he'd send us quotes for the larger system with different SEER ratings by the end of the day. We promptly received the quotes early that evening and began discussing them. His office called the next day to follow up and to see if we had any questions. After review of the quotes, we called and spoke with Jimmy and he offered to come out to the house to sit down with us and discuss the options with us. Based on our discussion, he gave us a new quote and our decision to hire him was greatly influenced by his extensive knowledge of these systems (cubic volume vs square footage, single stage vs two stage, variable speed fan vs single speed) and the requirements for heating and air conditioning in the Summerville area. We hired them on Friday, and they were able to come out to do the install on Tuesday. Brian and Cruz arrived just before they were scheduled (7:30) and began by becoming familiar with the house and the current system. They were very personable and professional. Jimmy arrived shortly afterwards and outlined exactly what he had planned for the install to his employees and to us. Aaron arrived with additional supplies and worked until 5:30 with Brian and Cruz. Every step of the way, our house was kept clean. They laid down cardboard and plastic from the garage to the area with the attic access, and laid down additional plastic while they were cutting the holes in the ceiling for the 2 new vents. As soon as they were done cutting the vents, they took up that plastic so that it wouldn't be in our way. Jimmy left to check on other jobs, but returned 4 times to check on the progress at our house. Jimmy's wife, Lorraine, even stopped by to drop off a part that was needed, and shared a lot of great information about the area. Throughout the day, Brian, Cruz and Aaron were willing to answer questions and were incredibly quiet and respectful as they went about their jobs. Near the end of the day Nathan and Craig came by to see if they could assist with anything, as they'd finished at their job site. Once again, very personable and professional employees, who jumped right in and started to work. At the end of the day, a broom and dustpan were brought out and all areas were swept, including the garage! Aaron even replaced the trim around our attic access so that it was better than when he arrived. Once all was installed, Brian explained the new thermostat system to my husband. So far, we've only run the system for a short time (it's not really hot or cold out now), but it is easy to use the system and it is incredibly quiet. I plan to update my review with more information about how everything works once we've used it a bit more.

I think I pretty much said it all in the paragraph above. Even though the initial solution didn't work, they were prompt and professional and out here immediately. Our heater is working fine now. The young man that worked on our heater was courteous, prompt, and polite. We will use them again in the future.

Performed complete replacement of crawl space air ducts with rigid ducts, added moisture barrier, and added dehumidifier. Replaced air handler metal work interface. Significant digging required, cleaned existing trash in crawl space. Improved and secured crawl space insulation. Sealed crawl space vents. The initial evaluation was timely, thorough, and very detailed. After acceptance of bid, work was performed immediately. We were very happy with the people and worked performed. Moisture issue resolved! THANKS
