Beware of the service hourly price this company charges customers. I called for A/C service at my son's recently purchased house as the units looked almost new and they had installed. I was told it was a blower motor and the parts were under warranty, but we would have to pay labor and the cost would be $714. It seemed high, but I didn't know how big a job it was and agreed. To my surprise the technician spent less than 1 hour on the job. I called their office to question the high charge for an hours worth of labor. Sarah told me she would look into it and call me back, never did. I called for her two other times and she never returned my calls until I sent an email looking to speak to one of the owners. She refused to let me speak to them and said I can talk to her. She states their other costs that go into the labor charge like the office expenses etc. This is ridiculous, no one charges this much for labor. I had also spent $89 for the first visit and she said that should have been deducted from the invoice since we moved forward with the work. Had I not kept pushing the bill, they would have overcharged me the $89 first visit fee as well. Very shady operation in my opinion.

BUYER BEWARE! Blanton & Sons replaced my HVAC with a Rheem unit. It DID NOT qualify for the $500 Dominion Energy rebate, or the $2,000 Federal energy credit. AND THEY FAILED TO INFORM ME! You cannot trust them.

disaster. Needed a new thermostat and 10k later, finally figured it out. Sent a different tech each visit and no one new what the last person did. All the time needed a new thermostat. no one ever tried to salvage our business relationship. Would never use again

They were really good. Good communication and on time provided great service.

It went well. They stopped the sink drain pipes from leaking.

Nathan did a great job, was on time and professional, quickly assessed/solved issue with heating as well as ductwork. Followed up quickly with invoice showing findings and payment made. Kayla was great, too...she was my first point of contact and got us on their schedule very quickly. It was great working with these folks...they are professional, friendly and just do a fantastic job. As a REALTOR, I've worked with many contractors and that is not always the case. Looking forward to working with them again!

The tech was able to give me an estimate for the part and contacted the A/C manufacturer on my behalf to check and see if the part was still under warranty and was able to fix the problem much faster than I had anticipated, I would definitely use this company again.

There was one person. It took him about an couple of hours. The room was clean. They checked both systems, and tuned them up. Very pleased with their work.

Very well. I noticed cupping in my wood floors and knew I probably had some humidity in the crawlspace. Blantons' came out and took some moisture readings that showed 25% moisture levels in the subfloors -- way too high. The sent me a bid for a full encapsulation that was reasonable but still more than I was prepared to spend at the time. Jimmy and I talked about a more graduated approach, where we'd start with a moisture barrier and see if that helped. If a full encapsulation was needed, the cost of the moisture barrier would apply. We had another reading taken last week, and I am relieved to see that it is now down to 15%. I've hired these guys to do a few jobs, and I can say that their customer service is terrific. They will do what it takes to do the job right, and they'll make sure you don't spend more than necessary.

They sent the most experience person, Brian to smooth things over so I would like to retract the negative review that I wrote couple weeks ago. However I do have concerns about their AC supplier as the 'brand new' Goodman unit that was installed 2 years ago also had a defective part which had to be replaced. Being a loyal customer spending $20,000+ ( 3ACs, spray foam insulation to attic and plumbing)over the last 3 years with this company, this last issue was more than this old lady needed to experience! Thankful they came through with repair to this brand new Trane unit and fixed the other unit with discount. The plumbing work they have done for me has always been excellent. They are a family owned operation which is a plus, but may opt for geothermal if any more trouble!

It went as expected. I already suspected the problem but really needed the confirmation. Blanton provided me a quote to replace the system and did not try to upsell me. I appreciated that.

The Blanton's folks were thorough, efficient and courteous. They diagnosed my problem recommended a solution and explained everything needed.

Blanton Mechanical put 2 different types of Carrier units. I thought I was getting an Infinity System as per the PDF Jimmy Blanton sent me but he installed a Performance unit inside. Several thousand dollars later I finally found a company that has made the units work together. The Honeywell Thermost has never really worked so my electric bill was over 1 thousand dollars after Blanton Mechanical fished with me. Up from 550 before buying their engergy efficiency unit

On time, checked out all issues raised, polite and courteous.

Excellent professionalism as well as prompt scheduling. I was afraid that since it was Labor Day weekend, I wasn't going to be able to have my AC unit evaluated or I would be charged for holiday labor. Blanton's Mechanical & Son's were prompt at scheduling the diagnostic as well as keeping me updated on the technician's availability throughout the day. I will DEFINITELY use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone needing prompt and professional service that is affordable and friendly.

The repairman who came was professional and repaired the valve in no time. I've used this company twice for different problems and they've always been prompt, good at what they do, and competitively priced. I'd highly recommend them and will continue to use them in the future should an issue arise.

Exceptional job. The complete job was done in one day. Had a minor fan noise problem but they responded promptly and took care of it

Today "I called" to see what was going on and spoke with Ally about getting a service appointment and about my warranty. I was hung up on and I called back and Ally told me that they were having phone line problems. Ally told me they had no body to come see me this week and informed me that my warranty was no longer available. I was hung up on again. I called back and Jimmy Blanton answered and told me "I" must be having phone problems, he went on to saw my warranty was no longer available and he wanted to know what the problem was. I was trying to do that "AGAIN" and I was then again hung up on. I called back and talked with Ally and at this point I was annoyed because of the run around I was getting and the dropped calls. Ally gave the phone to Jimmy whom told me the I needed to contact someone else for service because they would no longer be doing business with me. All I was doing was trying to get a serve call. I am upset that I was treated like I was arguing with them. I just want ductwork fixed and was always happy with Blanton's before today.

Jimmy came over to give me an estimate. He was clearly explained what the plan was and patiently answered all of my questions. I don't recall the technician's name, but he was efficient and really professional. I'd call them again and recommend them without hesitation.

Mr Jimmy is an amazing person! Punctual, responsive, professional, super patient and helpful. You get the immediate sense that he is trustworthy...and he does everything to maintain that trust. He provided me with all the information I requested so I could make an informed decision when choosing the unit and didn't bat an eyeball when I changed my mind from central to split duct back to central. His crew, including his two sons, were punctual, professional and considerate of me and my home. There was no cussing, no smoking, no loud music on the premises. They were intent on their work. A few snafus did occur, but these were minor and resolved above-and-beyond to my satisfaction. The inspector who came out reiterated what I already knew: Blanton's does quality work...we passed with flying colors! I'd also like to commend Mrs Lorraine on her senses of humor, grace and understanding. And Ms Allie is super adept at notifications/communicating, handling paperwork and wrangling inspectors. Pile this on the well-justified and deserved heap of stellar reviews. We can't wait to use the plumbing side of Blanton's talents for our next big project: installing a half bath.
