Bradley Construction LLC

It was like pulling teeth to get an estimate. I called him twice for two different properties. He forgot about me and admitted that. He was not very expedient. It is probably wise to have somebody with you with a background in home repair when they come to give an estimate so you know if it is fair or not. I wouldn't use him in the future because of lack of experience. If he got back to me in a timely manner, I would have used him. I did like the fact that he was licensed and bonded. The price that he quoted me on was fair.

Roofing: Crew arrived early as expected, asked if they could start, and when I agreed, began to work. It was obvious they were an experienced team, everyone began to work their tasks. Took care to protect plants, gardens, and landscaping. Removed roof materials and stacked them near rear of roof where trailer would be located when it arrived later that morning. They were friendly, polite, and respectful of us, our pets, and our property. They were fast, efficient, and thorough in their work. They did an exceptional job of cleaning up after they finished. Excellent crew of six roofers, their supervisor, plus a carpenter checking the wood replacement. We would not hesitate to recommend them. Gutters: Two man crew looked at gutters and roof, determined that we did not need additional downspouts, saving us money. Painted new facia board to help in resisting moisture. Explained what and why they were doing things as they went. Adjusted slope of rear gutters. Cleaned and tested front and rear gutters for water flow. Explained how new roof with correct overhang would eliminate water dripping between gutter and facia board – they were right, too – after the new roof was installed, the gutters worked perfectly. Friendly and respectful of us, our pets, and our property. Cleaned up when they were finished. These guys know their business, and we would recommend them to anyone needing gutter work of any kind. The fact that they clearly said that the downspouts we had were adequate spoke to their integrity and commitment to do what is right for the customer, not just to see how much money they could make off of us. Drywall: Two man crew completely sealed the work area so that nothing escaped to the rest of the house. Even in their work area, they were very careful not to create any unnecessary mess, and very thorough in their work. When they were putting up the new piece of drywall in the ceiling, rather than going up in the attic later and spreading loose insulation, they cut and attached rolled insulation to the top of the drywall – much better approach than we had imagined. They did such a good job texturing the popcorn ceiling that you can’t tell where the repairs were done. They cleaned up thoroughly. When we offered to clean up the dust on the porch from their shoes, they would not agree – saying that they did not leave any cleanup for the homeowner, that’s not the way they do business. Impressive. Professional, courteous, friendly, and respectful of us, our pets, and our property. Would recommend these guys to anyone needing drywall work of any kind. Overall Comment: can be applied to everything Bradley did above. Homeowner spent over 20 years in the property management business, and has nothing but compliments for Bradley Construction, their crews, and the work they did. It was every bit as good as promised, even better than expected. We plan to use Bradley for any projects we can’t do ourselves - we are already discussing another project with them. Overall excellent experience for us.

They did the complete job in a day and a half. They cleaned up very well. They had a dumpster onsite to keep all waste contained. They did a good job of getting up all the old roofing nails. I'll bet we found less than 10, and none made it to our vehicles' tires! They were extremely professional and very pleasant to deal with. Bradley will honestly tell you that they will likely NOT be your lowest bid because of the quality they will put into the job. I thought this to be a fair trade off. They didn't cut any corners on my repair and that's what I wanted. I did not want 10% lower price and have lower cost materials, or less experienced installers. I also wanted a reputable stable company that would still be in business in 5 years, should I need to call them about a problem that might occur. I am planning on having them do more repair work on my home.

They were very prompt from the first call to the delivery of the estimate. They called for follow up a few weeks later, also.

While there was some delay due to the exterior doors being special ordered, all work was done quickly and professionally. Out of all of the work performed, only had 1 small concern which was addressed and corrected immediatly. Will use them again

From the beginning onward, they promptly fixed the issues and damage: mold, kitchen, bathrooms, walls, ceilings, 21 windows, rotted joists, window sills, sub-flooring, doors (all of them!), electrical, A/C-Heating units, crawlspace and ducts, and plumbing. They were willing to work along side of us as we could tackle some of the work ourselves. The men were professional, good, and helpful in all of their work. THANK YOU!

They came right out and did a great job. They were very prompt. I am considering using them. I would certainly use them. I just have not made that decision yet.

Even though we were impressed with this company, we were stunned that the price they gave was so much higher than the other quotes from other companies. We wondered if they did not really want the job! The huge price difference was one problem. The other was the fact that they wanted to use the old deck frame and simply put new product over a frame that was as bad as the deck as a whole. The 6x6 support posts were dry, split and twisted. There is no way they could be reused. It seemed to us that the quote was for about half a deck, and the price was still the highest we received. For someone with no deck at all, I am sure they would do a great job.

Initially we sat down with Terry Bradley and talked about the colors we wanted ounce everything was selected, the painters were there the next day ready to start. They put up beautiful, thick crown moulding and painted it as well as painting the bedrooms. They worked very hard for two days and that portion of the project was complete. The parts of the cabinetry that were taken apart, sanded, and sprayed in a high gloss finish. It looked extremely professional and I was very happy with the outcome. I look forward to working with them again on more interior work and the patio.

Vaughn Mitchell, project manager, did an excellent job of keeping us informed, on time, and on buget. Every detail was put in writing and all extras added were at cost. The workman were on time, effecient, and very professional. They let us know if there were problems or changes to be made. There was one accident that damaged a piece of siding which they fixed so that you would never know it was damaged. We are very happy with the work they have done for us. This was the second time we have used Bradley Construction (no relation) and we will use them again in the future. We may have gotten the work done at a lower cost, but we would have given up a great deal of quality in the workmanship judging from the other bids we received from other local companies.

Vaughn Mitchell, the company rep, met with me to inspect the roof and provide a detailed estimate. He took the time to explain to me exactly what they would do and why they are superior to other roofers. Vaughn explained that they are local and have built their company on their good reputation, unlike the out-of-state storm-chasers who have done a lot of work in the Upstate in recent years. He showed me a book with all the Angie's List grades they have received and photographic examples of their past work. Vaughn told me that, at no extra charge, they would install ice and water guards, a layer of waterproof material under the shingles to channel water away, at the junctions of different roof surfaces. He said many other roofers won't do that. He had me pick my shingle color from a high-grade shingle, better quality than other roofers use who are trying to cut corners. Vaughn worked directly with my insurance company to provide an estimate and photos. He helped me to work with my insurance agent who was difficult to reach due to a lot of storm claims this spring. The workers came and stripped the old roof and replaced it mostly in one day. They had a good-sized work crew as we have a large house. I was pleased that they had enough workers to do a good job. They ran short of materials due to an underestimate based on a trade standard "eagle eye view." They came back a day or two later to finish the job. They requested, but did not invoice, from my insurance company a $450 supplemental for the extra materials. I requested that my insurance company pay it and they did. The most difficult part had nothing to do with them. My insurance company cut two different checks with my and my wife's names on it and the name of our mortgage company. The mortgage company required sworn affidavits from us and from Bradley Construction that the work was done before they would endorse the checks. Poor Vaughn had to run back and forth to pick up the affidavits, get them signed and notarized, bring them back, then return later to pick up my check once the funds had cleared. It was a convoluted process but I have to commend Vaughn for his patience. I am very pleased with the appearance of my new roof. It makes the house look new again. At the end of the process Vaughn requested that I complete an Angie's List review and simply tell the truth about my impressions. I am pleased to give a strong recommendation for Bradley Construction.

It has been since April and now that we are getting moved back in our home. There are several places on the ceiling that I Am not estatic about. However,Carlos,Angel,&Efren the painters did the very BEST job they could do! This team of painters tarped all floors,throughly taped all edges and cleaned up daily beyond my professional exectations! Carlos's concern of quality,customer satisfaction, & attention to detail brought this mess of a ceiling job back into a better perspective. I said better..NOT best. {Carlos's & his crew are true artists that fixed several ceiling problems.] Like I posted above ..the previous sub-contractor that was provided by Bradley's Const. LLC was very ...to say without harshness..PITIFUL! And as I reflected on this whole experience while looking up at the ceiling in the formal sitting room...I will contemplate what action is next. I quess I will let Bradley's Construction LLC ..get back to me with more of their professional advice for this flaw that is really more evident than I first thought. It was easy to say fine job when I had been camping in my driveway since Jan2011 with a back& hip handicap and more than ready to be back in my own bed &home. [$29,000 + 2months = ready to be done and accept what seemed little flaws at the time as good.] I will post one last time for a conclusion to this rating. Thanks to Angie's List~*

This company offered a wide variety of tile colors/styles for use in both flooring and tub surround surfaces for both rooms. Work was done in a "clean" environnment with tools, supplies and materials neatly stacked and all trash/waste removed each day. Drop cloths to protect carpeting and other flooring in the house were used daily. Work was completed to our satisfaction with minimal call-backs to correct minor problems after the job was completed. We have already contracted with this company to replace our exterior deck on the rear of our house.

Over a week later, I finally called them to get the quote. He did call back and told me he was busy and would call later that day with a quote which he did. Quoted over $8000 just for the painting. Other quotes ranged from $2100 to $2600 which I did use. Never quoted the gutters even though I asked again. Based on what I can find, I think this is a good company but they really need to get it together.

It took them a week to get back to me and I did not appreciate that. Their quote was higher than the other quotes I had gotten.

He was very friendly and professional. It took him 8 days to give me a qoute. The qoute was $12,000, which was way to high for me so I did not use his services.

Bradley Construction provided a residential roof replacement due to wind/hail damaged as determined by inspectors. This was an effortless and reassuring experience for our family. Before commiting to any work, Mark came out and provided a roof inspection prior to the arrival of our homeowner insurance carrier. The goal was to ensure that all damage was accounted for and to further educate myself on the needs of our home. I wanted to be confident with the knowledge required to converse with our insurance company and to identify possible damage. Mark came out, provided an assessment and was available every step of the way. We worked with the insurance agency and scheduled a repair all within one week. To top of the experience Mark provided a tarp in the interim to ensure no further damage to our home. Business was a hand shake and this company is stellar in service and professionalism. All work was overseen and a work completion assessment was provided to ensure quality service. Mark took control and worked with our insurance company on timely resolution or service. I would highly recommend this company especially if you are not experience with working the insurance company. It was a low stress high service experience. We are currently remodeling our home for expansion and I will definitely use Bradley Construction for those needs as well. A+ experience.

Crappy! I called Bradley to do an estimate for replacing our roof. Kim Bradley came out and looked at the roof. I spoke with him on the phone regarding the estimate. Once the adjuster had given us the check, I called them again to schedule the work. They never called back. I had to talk to the owner to get any response from my calls. From the first day, the attitude was that our job wasn't large enough for them to bother with. I had read good reviews about the company which is why I called them. They may be a good company to use if your job is a large one. I won't call them again.

My entire experience with Bradley Construction has been great. They were professional, curteous and responsive. Vaughn Mitchell met with me to examine my roof and educate me on the different thpes of ahingles available. They assisted with getting my insurance carrier to approve the replacement of my roof. The crew arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. In every respect this company was a pleasure to work with. Most of all I appreciated their professionalism and commitment to doing what they promised and not seeking payment until the job was completedand I was fully pleased. I have since recommended them to my neighbors and plan to use them for other projects in the future.

It went well, we had an excellent presentation by Vaughn Mitchell, and we were very satisfied with the work.

They were excellent, the technicians were all very good!

Placed call to company. Vaughn responded next day and scheduled appointment. Arrived on time and explained company operation, showed examples of previous work, offered references, and quoted job. We responded the same day and approved the scope of work and price. Vaughn returned the next day with a written contract to be signed. As it was a small job, he told us they would schedule it around other work. Crew came within 2 weeks and performed job. Excellent work and complete clean up. Very professional crew. Vaughn visited about a week later and inspected work and received payment. The entire experience was very enjoyable, very professional, and we are totally pleased and will use them again as the need arrises. We have recommended them to our neighbors.

He had lots of cutting to do as we wanted the tile on the diagonal, so he took his time and made sure everything was cut perfect. The job took a week to complete, but we didn't mind as there was no rush to get it done. It looks great! Very pleased.

As far as I can tell they did a great job--was finished in one day as promised and good cleanup. I would work with the company again based on my experience.

Finishing the job this morning,Mr. Newman extended his hand for a professional handshake & asked if I was pleased with the job done. And Yes, I certainly was! Hope to have this worker back for trim work when ceilings are finally completed. A great experience for what could have been a very dirty... to our home.. job of ceiling tile removal! Thanks to Bradley Construction LLC..once again!!!!!! Their next job and report will be from sheetrock,plastered, & sculpted ceilings..starting Monday! Thanks!!!!! :)
