Description of Work: Tone Nichols and Tablerock Technologies, based in Pickens SC serve individual home owners and businesses all over SC and into NC. I found them very good to work with and at a price that made sense. They mounted a set of passive solar panels, that is small tubes through which water is pumped to heat the swimming pool. When squirrels started sharpening their teeth on these tubes, Tone and her crew came back and installed wire mesh. It all works wonderfully and without any extra expense we are able to enjoy our pool much earlier and later than our neighbors who do not have a heated pool. Here is another thing it does for us. In August when the water gets too warm, we operate the system at night and it brings the temperature down, by as much as 10 degrees. I recommend this small company with confidence.

Description of Work: Installation of two 8 x 4 foot solar hot water collectors and 120 gallon tank, pump and heat exchanger (it is closed-loop pressurized glycol system). Project cost about $7000 before state and federal incentives that bring final cost down to about $3000 after tax rebates. The project saves me over $600 per year, and had allowed me to completely disconnect the hot water system from the grid, so I use only solar to heat my water, and no nonrenewable power at all currently.
