This ?self proclaimed repairman? couldnt fix a sandwich, i wish i came here and read his reviews before paying for 4 separate visits for him to change parts chasing his own tail only to end it with?. Your machine according to manufacturer is past its life cycle and needs to be replaced lol im more disappointed in myself then his lousy service ! Honesty is the best policy, but you wont find that with Emery Thornton, anyone who prides themselves in being a jack of all trades is most definitely a master of none !!!!!! I would add a pic of what he fixed, but he didnt fix anything

I paid $95 for Emery Thornton to come out 3 hours late. Made an appointment for 12/10/24 to complete work at 10 AM. Called Emery several times only to hear that is inbox was full and the call was ended. I called the mainline 5 times and was told Emery would return my call. After the fifth time he called and said he wasn't coming. Another appointment was made for 12/11/24 @ 9 am. I recieved a text from Emery saying he would not be able to make the 9AM appointment. All trust in this company has gone out the window. This could have been all avoided if Emery and or his company could have had the common courtesy to follow up with me and not make me chase them for some kind of resolution. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Buyer of thier services beware.

Emery Thornton visited my aunt's home although he was told to go in the evening when I would be back in NYC from my flight home from Charleston. Instead, he called my 82-yr-old aunt after I left and told her he was already in the area and did not know when he would be able to return so she agreed to let him come just to look at the freezer door. I must add my aunt has the onset of dementia. He gave us a price of "Approximately $500 for the door and said he would charge $275 to replace the broken door. He said the initial visit for the estimate would be included in the and the $275. When I spoke to him the next day, I asked him why he visited her while she was alone when I told him she would not understand everything. He admitted he noted that when he was speaking to her about the shipping cost of $70 and for that reason, he decided to comp her the shipping. This was a lie because GE does not charge for the shipping. I told him when I got home, I booked an order for the door myself and GE charged me only $390 an free shipping. He said that he didn t order for GE but a factory which makes the doors and they charge more for the doors. This made no sense to me. Pay more for a door, then wait for them to make it? He said he had booked an order for the door the evening before and asked what I wanted him to do. I said you can cancel your booking and we want you to put the door on when it arrives. That would be the $275 and return $225 to my aunt. He did not give her an invoice or anything in writing, no contract. He sent her a text message confirming she had given him the $500. When the door arrived we called him to install the door and I reminded him to return the $225. He gave my aunt an appt on 7/22/24, but on the morning of that day, he called her and told her he was not going to complete the installation. Then he called me to ask for my cash app so that he could send me the refund of what was supposed to be $400. However, he eventually sent $300 saying he charged her $50 for his time and there was a $50 restocking fee for the door. We never saw an order for the door and even ordering the booking is not the same thing as purchasing because they don't create an invoice until they locate the part and that is when you get charged. He still owes my aunt the $100, actually $200 since he is the one who backed out of the repair job. Also, the freezer handle was broken, and he never mentioned getting the handle and putting that on, so he was probably going to charge her a second price for coming back to put the handle on. This guy is really shady and does not know how to conduct business honestly. First of all, he had no business going to my aunt's place early when she was there alone, when he was told she could show him the fridge but I would be talking to him on the phone and conducting the agreement with him. And, walking out of a senior's home with cash in hand but no invoice or contract is not a professional or honest way of doing business.

The technician simply replaced a defective Whirlpool icemaker assembly without determining why the current icemaker was malfunctioning. It turns out the technician did not inspect or replace other parts, such as the water valve, which may have been the reason for the original icemaker breakdown. Upon the departure of the technician, it was determined that the icemaker was not functioning and the whole refrigerator/freezer had stopped functioning. Upon calling the technician within an hour of his departure concerning the non-operation of the icemaker, as well as the rest of the refrigerator/freezer, the technician refused to return and correct the situation. He offered to return in four or five days instead of returning immediately to correct his poor work. At present, over 400 dollars of food may be spoiled. This company, Faithworks Construction, should not be further recommended by Angi. I now have to search for a 24 hour refrigerator repairman during the weekend - good luck!
