The very young man that came to the house didn't even know where the local hardware store was located. When my husband gave him cash to purchase the supplies he said it was company policy that he had to have a credit card. My husband refused to give him a credit card & the "tech" had to call the office to get permission to use cash. In order to install the recessed light he ran a line from an existing light & put two holes in the ceiling to get to the wire (which he didn't repair). The step he built is a joke. Iit actually slants up from the outer edge so when you step on it your foot is sliding backwards. My husband was so angry that he just demanded that the "tech" leave & filed a complaint with the office. He would not allow them to re-enter our home to repair.
Description of Work: Installation of light in home office, repair outside soffit & rebuild a step.

The work for this customer was done 22 months ago. Our company had been in business for only four months. The employee who did that work is no longer employed by us. The customer signed off on the invoice as completely satisfied. The customer was given a follow-up telephone call from our office 24hrs later and was completely happy with the performed work. Now, nearly two years later we find out thru Angie's List that they are not happy. We went to their home today because they no longer have a telephone. They would not speak to us or permit us to stay on their property. Since we warranty our work 100%-we find it extremely strange that not one complaint by them was ever mentioned to our office. I personally handle every telephone call or message and there was not one complaint. Since that time this company has been in over 1,000 homes locally and even though our customers don't always enjoy being billed - they almost never complain about the quality of our work or our customer service. One of the first things you learn in this business is that when a customer has a complaint and then won't permit the contractor to view the poor work-then most probably the work wasn't really poor. We do understand that every customer has a right to be upset about their job. We only ask to be informed so that if it truly is our fault then we get a chance to make things right for that customer.
