CertaPro Painters of Hilton Head

The painting team was punctual and polite. During the initial walk around and assessment, it was discussed that I had some rusting nails under the original paint. I was told they would be covered prior to paint so they would not show rust exposure through the new paint. It has been a year, and the rust exposure is present. The crew accidentally dripped some white paint on my black garage doors. They tried to cover it with the black color being used for my shutters. It does not match, and the difference can be seen. Lastly, I am not sure they used the quality level of paint I paid for with the agreement, as the paint was in Spectrum cans, not Sherwin Williams. When I questioned the crew about the quality level, I was assured, but I have no proof.

Do not trust Mike Mooney, Fred Gunther and the Certa Pro HHI team. They talk a big game and do not deliver on promises. We were told that would floors would be covered throughout the project and they were not. They also snapped ceiling fan blades resulting in multiple fans requiring replacement. They also painted several rooms the wrong color despite numerous emails confirming color selections. They also did not patch around new light fixtures and blamed our electrician. We had to hire another firm to finish this patch work. DO NOT TRUST THIS FIRM WITH YOUR HOME. They deflect and blame others for their oversights. We arrived to the job site one day and found the crew attempting to climb through a window as they had managed to lock themselves out of one of the bedrooms. Overall an extremely poor experience and would not recommend Certa Pro to anyone.

Painters did a great job and everyone was polite/professional. Internal communication was iffy and the way rooms were painted/left stuff so it was very difficult to live in while painting. Overall very happy with end result.

I bought a new house recently in Sun City, a retirement community in Bluffton, SC. I wanted to repaint it completely and remove the popcorn ceiling. I got estimates from four different companies and decided to hire CertaPro Painters of Hilton Head (843-757-7121). The estimator, Mike Mooney, was very professional, courteous, and thorough. He went through the whole house making notes and taking photos, which he incorporated into his proposal, reciting the best price of all four bids. His demeanor, knowledge, and frankness in explaining the process and recommending the paints gave me a lot of confidence. It was important too that he was able to advance the start of the project from several weeks to only two weeks by putting together a fine crew of dedicated workers from Galbellâ s Painting Solutions, which is why I nicknamed him Mike the Miracle Maker. This crew consisted of project manager Luis Galeana and three young assistants, Yansi, Karen, and Milton. Luis Tovar oversaw drywall and popcorn removal. I wanted to mention their names because they were fantastic and deserve specific recognition. If you watch a video of popcorn removal you will see how messy it is. Painting is not far behind. To do these well you have to prepare the area properly and pay close attention to details. The CertaPro workers did that and more. They were also personable and considerate. Luis promised to finish the job in two weeks and made it in thirteen days. More importantly, the ceiling and the painting were perfect, and everything was left clean as a whistle. I highly recommend CertaPro.

After Mike the sales rep came out and gave us the estimate I had to reach out 3 additional times on my own to actually get the estimate actually sent and confirm the appointment time. Then after the 3-day job was ?complete? we checked over everything. Multiple spots completely missed, outlets covers not re-installed, massive piles of dust from wall repairs left, painting materials left, paint spots on ceilings, paint runs on baseboards, overpaint on quarter round molding, paint on switches and plugs, paint on windows, paint on mirrors, large spot of paint on my custom-made and hand stained ladder-well gates. Job site supervisor who was only one who could translate instructions between us and the workers was only present for about 15 minutes on day 1 and day 3. Overall poor experience for paying the amount of money we paid. Would recommend to look elsewhere.

We had the interior of our new house painted this July, 2022. Great company, the entire staff was professional, friendly, and hard working. At the end of each day the painting crew cleaned up and put everything away. The walls in our house look beautiful. It was truly an amazing experience and stress free. We will definitely use this company again.

Mike came out and estimated our job. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Tyrie came to do the job. He meticulously covered everything, he worked as if it was his own home. He did a great job for us . this company was very professional to work with, they started on time, and finished on time. I continue to get comments on how nice my fresh painted house looks. the price was very competitive. I was quite impressed with the whole experience, especially considering on the labor market of where we are located

We used Fredâ s crew in a property we had just purchased as well as a property we needed to sell. He was professional and provided feedback that saved us money. The crew he used did a great job, were professional, and pleasant to be around. We will use them again when are property needs painting!

I was very surprised about the good calculation of the costs. I had my stairway, kitchen and living room painted. The workers came on time. The work was done very well and my townhouse was left clean. I had the opportunity to contact the company at any time with questions and they was answered me immediately. I highly recommend CertaPro Painters of Hilton Head. Thank you you are a great team. Anytime again.

I was initially super-excited when the CertaPro rep (Ben) arrived to provide my estimate. He was on time, helpful, and attentive to my project need. Thats where the excitement ends. From there, I had a random man show up and start walking the perimeter without knocking or announcing his presence. When confronted, he said he was scoping out the project. I explained my experience with Ben, to which he said, **Ben is a salesman. He doesnt know paint** Then he contradicted my estimate. I called Rhonda, the office person, who was very helpful and reassuring that my estimate was what I would pay and the guy should have let me know he was coming. I let that go. Then the actual paint date. I took off work. No one showed. I called Rhonda who informed me she tendered her notice. Weird, but Ok. She said they would be at my home the following afternoon. Then she called to say morning. Again, I took off work. My *professional paint crew* (a very nice man with his wife and niece) arrived close to 2:00! They brought the wrong color paint, painted what I had already painted-not what I hired them to paint, and got paint on my roof, did not use drop cloths or tape off trim. I have house paint on the trim! Looks like someone who never painted anything did the job. But the worst is the rude, nasty treatment from Fred, the franchise owner when I asked for a professional crew. Not only is my project undone, but I have to repaint what little they painted. So disappointing and frustrating.

i had a lot of trim and doors to be painted and estimate stated high gloss for trim. At best it was egg shell and more like flat for trim?? I was underwhelmed. Also the Linen White was just white white. not even close to linen or "off white" so I dunno.. Also lots of paint splatter in multiple places so not my favorite job

Angel and Kevin (the painters) are very professional. Their work ethic is outstanding. They are "Masters of their Art."

Professional with regard to quotation, customer service and scheduling. Actual painting was excellent and courteous. We are so impressed with this company that we have hired them to stain the outside of our home. Cusps to all concerned.

Did quality work and within the quoted time frame. Noticed a few drip spots and a few â light coatingâ spots. Very friendly crew. Would definitely use them again.
