NMB Computers Direct

Terrible! I feel I was ripped off and lied to. They did not do what they said they would and refused to give me a refund. Please let everyone know these guys have been associated with several other stores in the area and have legal problems. It was featured on the news recently to warn people. Apparently they just keep changing names and keep ripping people off. The name on the store front is now Computers and Pawn. I asked to contact the owner- but was told I couldn't have his # and would just have to catch him there. (never did) I asked them to have him call me and he never did. Check the BBB report- F rating.

When he finished the repair, we paid him, picked the computer up and took it back to the condo. Within 10 minutes, it quit working again. We took it back the next day; they explained that the power supply board was broken. (After consulting other computer repair shops, we have come to believe Computers Direct broke the power supply. The other shops were also surprised by the $205.19 charge, telling us we were charged twice what the cost should have been.) Since they broke the computer, they said they would order the power supply board and put it in at no charge to us. On Tues, 9/14, they said they would order the part and it would arrive in three days -- before we would need to head back home from vacation. We called on Thurs, 9/16 and they told us they did not order the part until Wed., but that it should arrive by Friday. They assured us it would be fixed before we left. We called them on Friday and they said they still had not received the part. They told us that, when the part came in, they would send it to our home and we would have to take it to someone else for repair. We called them on Monday, 9/20, and every day until Fri, 9/24, when we finally reached them. They said they had the part, but we had to pay them $24.95 for shipping, which they failed to mention before we left. Now, we are left with a $900 laptop that doesn't work and we are out $205.19 for work that did not repair the original issue. We have tried to call them and they will not answer or return our calls. The employees were so rude and disrespectful. The company has only been in business since January 2010 and they do not care how they treat people. They ripped us off.
