More Space Place

I was building new home in Myrtle Beach. I wasn’t finding the built-in cabinets I was looking for a number of rooms in our nearing completion. I found More Space Place on Angie’s List and gave them a call to design me a number of projects: Room 1 – I was installing a new audio-visual system in our great room. I asked More Space Place to come out and work with my audio-visual company to design a custom cabinet to house my electronic gear and DVD and cd collections. It was important that they worked together so that my audio-visual company could get ease of access and have enough ventilation. The cabinet came out beautifully from both a functional as well as aesthetic viewpoint. Room 2 – This was our den which my wife would use for her healing touch practice. In addition, we wanted an extra sleeping room for guests. We looked at a number of murphy bed solutions. More Space Place had the most innovative solution that had the murphy bed hidden behind a wall of bookshelves as opposed to the normal blank wall. Our guest remarked how comfortable the bed was as well. Room 3 – Our house had an upstairs bonus room which would become my man cave and office area. More Space Place designed an audio-visual wall to house my large screen TV and electronic equipment. Also, there was plenty of space to house my Vinyl Record Collection, DVD collection, and CD collection as well The room also had an office area for my computer work station, book cases and cabinets. A pull-out sofa bed allowed this room to be an extra guest room as well. Room 4 – Since the rest of the house came out so beautifully, I had to have my garage organized as well. Again, More Space Place came out to design the perfect working space including a work bench, plenty of storage cabinets, and a slat wall where I could get all my garage contents off the floor. I can’t say enough about this quality firm. You will love working with Marianne Gamby, the Design Coordinator and her husband, Sean Gamby, the Installation Manager as well as their entire crew. They bend over backwards to ensure that your needs are met throughout the process and you will be thrilled with the results. We get compliments every time we have guests over. The installers were on time and professional. They cleaned up and vacuumed when they were done. Working with Maryanne on the design was great. She has excellent ideas and knows how to get the most out of your space. They are the best!

The closets are my favorite thing about the new house. They were great to work with and loved the customization of my HUGE closet space. Baldwin was wonderful to work with and loved what she came up with for our house!!!

I have had a design business in the past. And sometimes in business compromises need to be made. A customer has a life change. Or unplanned issues occur. I had to learn to please my customer, and create a situation that would benefit them and me. This requires a creative and positive mind-set. I feel that if the owner had not reacted with anger toward me, he would have benefited financially in the long run. In my new home I was considering a 5,000 murphy bed and office and laundry cabinets. Much more than the closet storage from before.

Sales person was very professional and laid out 3D drawings of the design for owners. She was able to make changes and show those on drawings immediately. Installers arrived on time set protection for the carpets while putting together & cleaning shelves for install. Verified installation details with home owner made minor adjustments as needed. Cleaned up all areas they worked in and reviewed work with home owners. Very satisfied with the experience!

If there was an A++ rating we would give it to More Space Place. We happened to see the store in the Walmart shopping center and we stopped in to get information. We were impressed from the minute we first met Patty and Mary Ann. Mary Ann came to our house for a no obligation estimate and a few days later we met with her to review the drawings. Mary Ann spent a few hours with us reviewing her drawings of the closets and she was extremely patient as we "tweaked" some of the drawings and asked a million questions. Everything was explained to us in detail and there were no hidden extras. It was hard for me to imagine that I was going to be able to put everything I had back into the closets and gain space. We decided to go ahead with the work and we have not regretted that decision. The installation took 2 days and we couldn't be more pleased. I was amazed at the space I had. After I put everything back into the closets I couldn't believe that I had room to spare. Everything looks neat and organized. My husband is also amazed and he said he had to admit that this was probably the best thing we did to the house since we moved in. The whole staff was wonderful. The crew that installed the closets were neat and professional. They were at the house for almost 2 days and I did not have to clean up after them when they left. The closets were ready for me to put everything back. More Space Place is locally owned and operated. They stand behind their product and their service. If you are in need of organization, stop in and talk to Mary Ann and Patty. You won't be sorry. We plan on using them again to organize our garage.

Stopped by showroom in North Myrtle Beach, spoke with customer representative, Patty. Patty showed me all the options in wood tones and most popular designs. I scheduled an appointment for one of their design team members to measure my existing closet and create a design that meets my needs. She was prompt and listened to what is important to me. I received a call a few days later stating, the design was ready for me to review. I opt to go back to the showroom and look at my design. This company uses 3D software that helps you visualize what your space will look like. The design was great, at that point I committed to the closet. Unfortunately, there was a six week wait for the installation. Not sure why it took so long, the company has a warehouse in Calabash, NC. Once the closet was installed, it met my expectations. I would use this company in the future.
