In the beginning when money was flowing and I gave Mr. Eisenlohr what he wanted thinking that he would do a good job, things were fine. When it came to the inside of the house, disaster struck. I arrived on the construction site and no one was there. Sub- contractors had lost or stolen lights, screws which all had to be replaced. Doors were installed improperly (door hit the toilet in master bath for instance). Painting was not done properly and I had to call the painter to finish the touch ups. Sub contractors complained that no one was on site when they would arrive. I think they all had access to keys to go in and out of the house. He installed locks improperly. Overall, it was a frustrating, costly and disappointing experience. Mr. Eisenlohr put cheap items in the house, didn't properly insulate the attic and home. Windows were sheetrocked and wires were left hanging from the ceiling. Mr. Eisenlohr should not build houses. He has such a bad reputation with sub constractors that the good ones won't work with him anymore. They all asked me for payment. Mr. Eisenlohr comes off as a very likable nice person, but he is a terrible builder.
Description of Work: Jim Eisenlohr was the builder of my home in N. Myrtle Beach. I had to take over the building of the house because of poor workmanship and builder and laborers not showing up. Jim Eisenlohr over charged me and stock piled items from Builders Source which I had to pay for. He also installed doors and windows in the house improperly and did basically shoddy work allowing his son to do most of the work unsupervised. After I completed the house, someone used a key to get into my home. Mr. Eisenlohr is the only one who has a key. ADT was already installed and the alarm went off. I believe this was Mr. Eisenlohr or one of his workers he gave a key to tried to get into my house. This caused me additional financial loss to change the locks.
