Great service, Sales rep explained different type very well. Recommended great solution. Install was fast, clean & professional.

They were only here about 5 minutes and just tightened a fitting. After their visit I was still smelling gas intermittently. They came back but at the time did not smell it. Now is almost constant and they want to charge me for another service call of $150. I feel they should have been more indepth on the initial call and not just assumed it was a loose fitting and that was all. I would definately recommend others not use them. They also take a inordinately long time from the call to schedule to when they come out. Poor service.

The young man who came was quite punctual and answered all my questions, giving me suggestions to make it easier to operate. He took his time and was very informative.

I went to William Smith Fireplace to have them install a Fireplace that I actually bought through DirectBuy, Steve seemed more than happy to do the installation, They completed the rough in and what turned out to be quite a while later, my contractor finally got the fireplace finished, ready for the final and trim install. When they returned, I was told the trim piece could not be installed because the rough in was done without any set back. Called Steve and asked what was going on, he claimed that it wasn't their fault, that they didn't know were to rough in at, But never asked me or my contractor or went by the usual 3/4 in for granite or sheet rock and tile around the front. Steve would no longer accept or return any calls and did nothing to fix the problem, cost me another 1,000 to fix his screw up. You should avoid them like the plague....

They were on-time, professional and neat. The install crew was very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely would recommend them to friends.

The original company I hired for this repair decided they were not able to fabricate the type of chimney cap needed, so they referred me to WilliamSmith. When WilliamSmith came out to measure for the cap, they told that there was rot under the cap and several feet of chimney might need to be rebuilt. I brought the original company back for an assessment and they found no rot. After several weeks and a few scheduling delays (rain, and some miscommunication between the two contractors), the old chimney cap was removed - no rot was found - and the new cap installed. As far as I know, everything up there is fine, but since I can't inspect the area myself it is nerve-racking to second guess these guys.

My experience with him was excellent. There aren't words to describe how fantastic he is. Steve Smith worked with me to create the design that I wanted. He sells top quality equipment. He was on time. He worked with the rest of the backyard designers so that the project flowed smoothly. He even gave us a gift when the job was done.
