We Care Lawn Care had favorable ratings here on AL, so I gave them a call. The person with whom i spoke was friendly and professional. We set a time for them to come and assess my lawn and commence treatment.
The expectations for immediate results (regarding growth) were minimal b/c of the season they started the service (Late September 2011). However, I did expect weeds to begin to diminish and the moles to go away within a few months. (They did not treat for moles directly, but were supposed to be eradicating the food supply). I spoke with them in January and explained that neither of the aforementioned expectations we being met. She said that I had a treatment coming up soon and should begin to see results... Well, here we are in May and I have dollar weed in the back yard and what I believe is nutsedge flourishing in the front, (oh, and we still have our subterranean and quot;little buddiesand quot; too.) It is also worth noting, of all the treatments (six, I think), there was never evidence (i.e. granules, odors, or visible residues) that they had been there, other than the invoice on the door nob, until the last service in May (granules).
The other day I called to cancel the service; once again the lady was kind and professional. She acknowledged her regret that I was disappointed and suggested I should have called and they would have returned (at no additional charge) for re-treatment. It is my opinion that they, being the professionals should recognize the need, especially since my concerns had been previously conveyed. I didn't have the time or affection to discuss further.
Lastly, since the May treatment, it does appear that the grass is growing more quickly, as is the dollar weed and nutsedge, but there is no apparent new growth... ...haven't seen the moles to know if they are growing, but I think the tunnels are getting bigger :/

Response from We Care Lawn Care
"After reading this review I did some checking as we keep very detailed records of our customers and their treatments. This customer did start his service in late September after the growing season in this area as he stated. He also stated that he was told that he should not expect much improvement to his grass until the Spring when it comes out of dormacy whis is true also. What this customer failed to mention though is that he was told in writing and in person that he had Mole Crickets and that treatment was an extra charge that he was unwilling to pay for therefore unwilling to correct. What he also failed to mention is that he canceled the service before we had put out any fertilizer what so ever! He said in the review on Angies list that his grass did not improve nor did any weeds die. He was also explained to that the first 2 treatments would do nothing to control any of the existing weeds but was a pr-emergent herbicide to prevent any more weeds from invading his lawn and existing weeds would be better controled in the Spring. He never gave us a chance to improve his grass or control his broadleaf weeds because he canceled our service after the second treatment on November 28, 2011. He also failed to mention that he had a dog in the backyard and there was very much pet damage to his grass. When we see this we always document in writing as what to expect if a dog is allowed to do his thing on the grass not be cleaned up. It not only causes damage to the grass but the dog food is full of organic matter which causes more weed growth. We have written documented proof to this statement. This person was way too quick in giving our company this unfavorable review. If he had been a little more patient and allowed us to treat his lawn through the growing season he would have seen very good results.I'm not saying that we would have gotten rid of all his weeds nor am I saying that his grass would have been back to a 100% because every lawn is different. I will say this though, customer satisfaction is our number 1 priority and we go to great lengths to protect our image."

I have them on an annual contract and they provide me about 6 services per year. Overall, the experience has been very good. I'm really pleased with them. They know their business and they explain things. I'm happy with their services.
