TCI Contracting LLC

TCI Contracting did an outstanding job of installing a complete set of new gutters for our recently repainted house. I contracted for an exterior house painting and along with that all existing guttering was removed. I worked through Lowe's to find a local contractor to reinstall and upgrade (moved from 4" to 6") my gutters. With the weird weather we have had lately, I kept putting gutter installation off so the painting could be completed. TCI was incredibly responsive and understanding through the rescheduling challenges. Their scheduler that answered my initial call was professional and very responsive. Once the installers arrived on site, they were incredibly efficient and professional. My painters were just leaving the site after a final touch up and they remarked on the quality of TCI's equipment - my first observation of ladder envy. The two man crew was obviously very experienced and efficient. The complete fabrication and installation of the gutter job took about 2.5 hours. The crew did on the spot minor modifications to the work to improve the installation, such as proving an extra elbow for the downspot to route the flow of water onto the driveway rather than continuing to channel the flow through the lawn. No cleanup required. I was very pleased and satisfied with the work preformed and the price of the job.

A few hours later, just before the work was about to begin on this time sensitive project the project manager emailed me to say that he had discussed my clean up policy to the owner of the Charleston SC branch of TCI Contracting, LLC. The owner instructed for the crew to not do the job. A simple request for keeping the home clean caused this company to breach their contract with me. I was left scrambling to schedule another company to come in and do the work. - S. Connolly
