He said that it was my pulleys, and that he could replace them immediately, and it wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. He replaced them, adjusted my garage door opener and I have a perfectly in-sync door and opener, thanks to him. He was quite pleasant, as well. Thank you so much. Arrived within the hour window given, but had to return later due to not having a part on the truck. Torsion spring installation/conversion went quickly after his return, and Southeastern Garage Door guy was pleasant and professional.

They were at the house within two hours of my call. they quickly diagnosed the problem (loose wire), and repaired it without difficulty. In addition, I asked him to replace the worn out keypad on the outside of the garage, which he promptly did. I was impressed with the quick response, the courteous service and the quality of service. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. And, should the occasion arise, I would absolutely use them again.

Came to do the service as requested, on time and completed the work in less than an hour...start to finish.

He was polite, friendly, and fast. Love the installation and he explained everything thoroughly. He even programmed both doors on each remote for us! They are an awesome company and would use them again.

Installer arrived and had the entire issue fixed within an hour - charge was only 100 dollars, and he even fixed a separate issue (the door not going up and down right randomly due to some radio interference) during his time there. Couldn't say enough about the level of professionalism showed. Also, the amount charged - 100 dollars - was less than three other companies initial service fee. I will use these guys again!

Mr. Borders provided the estimate. After receiving the material needed for installation, a date and time was scheduled. The doors and required hardware were installed on 21 Aug 2014. The doors were of the quality described during the estimate process. The installation was completed, all removed material was carried away upon completion of the replacement. The work area was kept neat and clean during the entire period of work. The entire process met or exceeded my expectations. Thanks to Mr. Borders and his entire staff for a very pleasant transaction.

Great! Scheduled on Friday for Monday, Showed up exactly on time. Immediately diagnosed the problem. Immediately retrieved the required parts from his truck and installed them. Serviced the entire door system, cleaned up and provided the invoice, Collected payment via charge card. Gone in less than 45 minutes.

The technician arrived at my home early and waited for me to arrive. He reviewed the items that he believed to be necessary for the safety of the door. He also gave me a list of the items that were worn but didn't have to be replaced that day. When he gave me the quote I nearly choked. It was double what I was quoted over the phone. I asked him to break out the pricing for me so I could understand where we were not lining up. I was quoted $175 plus tax and any other additional materials. The first item that had not been noted in the quote was my Angie's List discount. When I called I had not printed it off because I was at work. The person who took my appointment information told me that I didn't need to. She was going to apply it to the account. The discount included the trip, new cables and an inspection. The quote the technician gave me was closer to $350 for the trip, inspection, door cables and safety cables. I told him that I would go in and print off the discount but he revised the quote to honor it and the total came out with tax at around $198. That was within my expectation so I told him to go ahead with the work. Everything was entered, paid for and signed for on his tablet. I was very satisfied with that. No junk paper to blow around. He emailed me my receipt before he left and said that he would also send me a copy of the inspection so I would know what would need replacing next. I never got the inspection sheet. Overall, he was friendly and thorough. He told me what work needed to be done and also showed me some of the worn parts that I chose not to have replaced at that time. I was pleased with the overall service.

It was a half fast job. They did not finish their work. I looked into the definition of installation. It is the process of putting in new piece of equipment in its place and making it ready for use. It was that simple but they did not do it. They came out and looked at everything. I talked to the owner and complained about it because the garage door that they installed was not working. They even told me that I had to hire an electrician to wire it in. I was arguing with them. I had to buy an expensive extension cord and wire it to the plug. I have to do it myself. The problem was I hired them to install my garage door but they did not do it. Me and my wife were furious about it. To me, installation means to put it in the way it works. It was installed but I had to wire it in. I called them and we talked but it was just a waste of money. He installed it but it was not working. The price was good and I got a military discount. I think that I was overcharged for the work that he did. He did not finish it. He was a licensed installer but he was not a licensed electrician. He was suppose to wire it in for it to work. I would not bother about the $7 extension cord. I gave him a chance to fix it but he did not do it. The guy was nice but he did not complete his job. He did not make it ready for use. They should have hired my electrician for them to come out and plug it in. He said that he did his job but I don't think he did it. I do not want to see and talk to this guy again.

Emailed Southeastern for estimate to install opener. They called me shortly and told me the types and prices and made an appointment to come and see if my current one could be fixed or recommendation to replace. Due to the age, over 18 years best to replace and came back the next morning to replace. Technician worked fast and was very courteous, happy with opener and installation.

We had a garage door that would only go up about 2 inches, and then stop. After living with this a few days, we called the folks at Southeastern and they got a technician out to us promptly. He diagnosed the problem in the first five minutes and was able to replace the broken spring that was cause of our problem. He also replaced an inside control button that was failing intermittently. Everything works great now and we were very pleased the prompt and professional service we received.

When we first contacted the company via Angie's List their response/call back time was excellent. They came out immediately for an estimate. The only reason this company received a B was because once the job was given to them we had to contact them to follow up (twice) as to when the new door would be installed. One phone call was to determine when the door would be delivered. A date was given to us but we never heard from them again. We followed up two weeks later to see when it would be installed. Once we talked with the office a date was given to us for the installation. They arrived on time for the installation and we were very impressed with their professionalism and work habits. If we had not had to follow up with two phone calls we would have given the company an A+. Overall we were very impressed with their work and would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them. A big bonus for us was that they took the damaged door with them after installation of the new door.

I would rate them highly in all aspects except for their price.

They came on time on Monday and reported that it didn't pay to repair the garage door opener because it would cost $250 and only be waranteed for 30 days. It was better to replace. They came the next day and replaced it. Did a good job in under an hour. When the service person had trouble reprograming my cars Home Link, they called another technician, who came promptly and did the job.

They came out to our house, gave us an estimate for the garage door. They gave us an estimate of how long it would be before the garage door came in to their warehouse. They installed the door on the exact day that they said that they would. We are very satisfied with their services & highly recommend them!

I definitely got my money's worth and I would use them again.

Southeastern Garage Doors of Charleston is an excellent company to work with. Though I cannot speak for their prices (as we had them for warranty work through our home warranty company), I can say that their service, professionalism, quality of work, and punctuality are all excellent. The service man that they sent out was intelligent and professional, he was the one to both diagnose the issue with our garage door and the person to fix it. The first trip out it was determined that we needed a part that they did not carry, so it was ordered promptly and arrived in only a few days. They had good communication with us through the process and their scheduling was fast and convenient. Two things that struck me the most about this company were: 1. They gave us one hour windows rather than a vague timeframe for service. They said they would be out between 11 and 12, not 9 and 4 for example. That really makes it easy to plan around. 2. Even though the time was scheduled between 11-12, the service man called ahead of time to say he was running late (and he still showed up 5 minutes early!). Most places you would be lucky to get a phone call. I would easily call these guys first the next time there is a problem.

Overall, it was a very good experience. All was done as promised in a timely manner.

From the time I called the company to the next day when the opener was installed, the entire experience was very smooth. All people I had contact with were professional, answered my questions, and made sure that the new device worked and I was satisfied. Overall I was very pleased and my experience validated the high rating they have on Angies List. I marked the price as an A because it was in the ballpark of what I thought I would have to pay, but I do not have other comparisons. I also called another provider on Angies List, but they never answered the phone.

I pushed the thing to raise the garage door thing and I went out too fast. The guy himself was very nice, but I thought they were very pricey. I paid about $1,000 and it took me quite a while to pay that off. He came over and did a really good job and it worked really great. He was a very nice man as a person. He came right when he said he would come and was very professional. He knew all the stuff and seemed like he obviously did this for a long time.

They showed up on time, they did a great job and their price was right. They were reliable, punctual and one thing that I appreciate about them is that they communicated well. They were very responsive.
