Description of Work: Installed a skylight and two sun tunnels. The skylight went in quick and simple. The workers were friendly and courteous. They began marking the areas where the sun tunnels would be installed and found a problem with the planned spot for the one in the kitchen area. We discussed different options including possibly installing two smaller sun tunnels. I spoke with Andrea, who works in the office, and she said she could email me a quote that day. She sent me the new estimate within the hour. (Andrea is great! She is professional and efficient.) We decided to stick with the two large sun tunnels we already had and to install one in a different area than the kitchen. The workers, Rex and Mike, checked the roof and the attic, and thought the new spot would be good. They came back the next day and cut the access hole in the attic and found that the area we thought should have been an easy and straight path from the inside to the roof was actually an addition. These guys worked for six hours and used ingenuity to ensure that sun tunnel worked for our house. They said the addition had a roof over the original roof and the joists(?) did not line up, so they had to work in a very tight spot and angle the tubing to fit between the two roofs. The second sun tunnel went in under two hours. I was impressed with their persistence and appreciated how they kept reassuring me that I would have the light I wanted in my house. I do like the additional natural light in my home. I almost forgot to mention the dedication of Seth! He had had knee surgery just weeks before, but still came by the house to check on things! I would use this company again and just may contact them when I need to get replacement windows.

Description of Work: Shortly after inquiring with Solar on having a sun tunnel installed in my kitchen, Sol came to check out the install site and got back to me in a few days with a quote. I had several quotes but choose Solar after giving the work some thought. He sent his Tech, Greg out within a few days and he installed a 10" Velux sun tunnel (provided by Solar) in the back corner of my kitchen. I have two skylights in the front area so just needed to add little more natural light . The quoted price also included two light kits I provided, one in the new kitchen install and one in a hall sun tunnel installed last year. Most of the time the light provided by these tunnels makes it look like you left a light on and I only turn the sun tunnel light on when there is no moon or a very cloudy day.. I like the natural light provided by these tunnels and recommend using them in areas where you are unable to install sky lights. I did have a small problem after install completed and this was corrected the next day. Heidi in Customer Service was efficient in providing excellent service.
