WARNING: Do not let them keep your card on file! We had Preferred come do two repairs before we moved out of our home in late May, one charged to my wife's credit card, the other charged to mine. The card she paid with was then charged $1438.00 for a service at that address 15 days after we moved out. She called to complain and they refunded the money saying they charged the wrong card. They then charged the card I used the same $1438.00. I called and they said they couldn't find my name or phone number in the system. They said that address was associated with someone who was not me, and that they saw the service done that day in June. The customer service rep said she would contact accounting and have them call me in 24 hours. 4 days later, they still haven't contacted me or refunded my card. I have called the credit card company and reported it as fraud. Why would you not ensure the homeowner's name is on the card being charged and that they can give the security code on the back of the card??

Three installers to in stall a split unit. It took all day, they did more talking than working, Another person had to come to do the electrical, did not have what he needed to do the job. so the others sat. Another person came to pick up the trash. There trim man came a week later to replace the wood around the inside unit, NO trim with him, had to leave to get supplies. when he returned, I keep the trim and sent hem on his way. We where home when the work was done yet some of the invoices had Customer NOT available. had one contract yet invoiced for different part of the job. Can see why they are so high to many people for a job and to slow!

My whole experience with Preferred Home Services was great. The sales team and installers were professional, courteous and friendly. I enjoyed dealing with each and every one of them.

Preferred failed to properly supervise work, used inexperienced technicians, and failed to timely follow-up and remedy property damage caused by its employees. I contracted with Preferred Home Services in mid-July 2022 to install two Moen electronic toilets. I agreed to pay over $400 per toilet for the installation, without the required electrical work, which was performed by a separate Preferred crew. Preferred's pricing was well above market rates, but I was happy to pay the quoted amounts based on Preferred's representations that work would be completed immediately, professionally, and guaranteed. After agreeing to the proposal, the technician told me he needed to go get tools and parts because he was not properly equipped for the job. This was surprising since I provided all of the technical information regarding the toilets when I initially scheduled the appointments. He left the home and did not return until the following day. The plumbing technician was inexperienced and installed the toilets leaving no access to the shut-off valves necessitating removal and re-installation of the toilets the following day to provide the required access to the shut-off valves. Worse yet, despite my warnings that the new toilets were heavy and awkward, the plumbing technician attempted the installation alone, dragged the new Moen toilets across the floor, and damaged and significantly scratched the tiles in the master bathroom and the guest bathroom. Preferred's plumbing supervisor visited the home the following day to inspect the damages and to remove and re-install the toilets correctly. He tried to buff the scratches and caused even more damage to the tile floors. He assured me that Preferred would send a tile company to our home immediately to repair the damage. Now, two months later, nothing has been done. Preferred fails to follow-up and remedy the damage. Equally problematic, I paid Preferred over $1,200 in July 2022, when they contracted to perform the toilet removal and replacement, to install a Moen Flo Control unit on the main water line to protect the home from flood and leak damage. The water main is a 1" service. The inexperienced technician installed a 3/4" unit rather than a 1" unit. Preferred admitted that the technician did not know (or bother to check) to get the proper size Moen Flo unit to prevent restricted water flow. As a result, the 3/4" valve significantly reduced water flow to the home. Preferred returned to remove the 3/4" unit the next day, but it failed to replace it with a 1" unit. After waiting over 6 weeks, and having already paid Preferred in full, I contacted Preferred again to demand it complete its work. Preferred responded and came the following day to complete the installation. I certainly will never use Preferred again, nor would I recommend the company.

Excellent job, however the price was crazy. After deducting $50 for the service call, I essentially paid $325 an hour to replace 2 bathroom faucets and sink drains, and I supplied the faucets, drains, and new hoses.

We had someone scheduled for an afternoon appointment when we got a call mid-morning saying a technician had finished a job earlier than expected, would we like him to come ahead of our scheduled time. We said "yes" and Ben arrived shortly thereafter. He was professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with. He did an excellent job and we are looking forward to calling for him again whenever we have plumbing needs.

AC units were replaced with no problems in two days. Solar panels were installed later during the course of one weekend.

It went very well. They kept us informed, were very professional and very reasonable price.

They're very thorough and competent. They're also very prompt and do what they say they're going to do.

I would use them in the future.

They were really honest, and didn't try to push us to do things that didn't need to be done. They advised us that it was just a low-pressure issue.

They did not do that great a job. The experience wasn't very good. I made the mistake of taking the first bid that I got on this. They ended up charging me a very high rate. While the job was done technically,it was done in such a way that I had to get another contractor to come in and build a little box into my kitchen counter so it could house the product that they sold me. The product they sold me was not the right product for the property. I let them put it in, because my tenants needed hot water, you don't want to be without that. They didn't run the drainage properly, and it's the kind of thing that is not going to create an issue for maybe 5 years, but in 5 years when it does start having problems, then it will emerge that he did a really crappy job of installation. The pressure release valve is supposed to be routed into a drainage system, and it is not, and it is going to be fine, as long as the unit is working properly. I know that will cost me more money, and they already charged way too much for the work in my opinion. They sold me a product that did not meet my need, it was what was on their hand. I think a good contractor will do what you need rather than what they have on hand. They didn't provide me with an invoice either. I wasn't happy with that. We had to have the closet space rebuilt around the thing they had put in, and in spite of that being their job, and he didn't even clean up after he was done. They sold me a unit for a 2400sq foot house, and not for a 2 bedroom apartment, but it is a good product. They deserve a low grade because they didn't connect the drainage properly. He just threw it in there, connected the tubes and he was gone.
