PODS Moving and Storage

We sold our home and chose to use PODS because of the previous good experience that we had with them. Never again. The buyers used PODS as well and, despite detailed delivery instructions, the driver placed the buyers' PODS in front of our PODS so that our PODS could not be picked up on their scheduled moving date. Despite PODS owning all of the PODS involved, the driver refused to move the new homeowners' PODS. As a result we could not move and had to return to work out of state the following week forcing us to eventually put the PODS into storage when the new owners finally emptied theirs. To add insult to our not being able to move into our new home, PODS charged us additional rent and storage fees of $1,244 for the extra time that they forced on us. We disputed the charge in September and did not receive a response until December! We then learned that they were only going to refund $200 as a "courtesy." I looked through the invoices tonight and their recordkeeping of the entire incident is atrocious. I have spent hours of my life on phone and chat to resolve all of this in a friendly and patient way--understanding that people are just human and have been met with nothing but inhumanity at every step of along the way. I simply expected them to take responsibility for their mistake and refund the additional rent. It shouldn't be rocket science. They screwed up. Their complete lack of service and timeliness in addressing an issue that is entirely of their own doing is unbelievable and utterly disappointing.

They were accurate and on time. They were here when they said, they called and confirmed several times. I've used three different pods and I would absolutely recommend them again.

They were excellent and it really worked out well.

Communicating with the national and local PODS supplier was a bit frustrating. In both cases there was confusion on delivery times and shipping times from VA to SC. My dealings with the local provider in VA and SC and the national office were all very pleasant, cordial and with what seemed to be an attitude of wanting to provide good customer service. The delivery drivers at both places were super and helpful. In spite of the communication problems I would use PODS again if I needed to put things in storage before delivery.

They did everything that they could do. They didn't rush me to get it filled. Once it was delivered, I was given a week to remove the furniture and boxes. Other people told me that they were expensive. However, after doing research I saw that they were actually cheaper than other places.
