Fantastic. Second time I've used the company. Came out and did an initial assessment for placement and sizing of the fan Rick couldn't get there at the original time we scheduled to install it and called me promptly to reschedule. He purchased fan and had an electrician to help install the line. Finished in under an hour. Fan works great! Would definitely recommend. I will gladly use East Coast Roofing for any future needs.

This is my second project with Rick and his crew at East Coast. They worked me into his busy schedule on short notice, got the job done quickly, and did it right. Rick is a pro. He's easy to deal with and takes pride in his work. Hightly recommended.

Rick was prompt and came out the same day to provide an estimate. We were in a bit of a time crunch and he was very accommodating of our schedule. He replaced our existing roof and some of the plywood underneath. We later called him out to replace a skylight because a tree branch fell through it. Rick is a great guy - truly one of the best contractors that we have EVER dealt with. He provides quality service, on schedule, and at a price that was much more attractive than his competitors. We would not hesitate to use him again!

Showed up on time. Very efficient. Job was done in half a day.

Despite his full schedule, Rick DeVries came out at the end of April to assess my roof, which was a low slope of about 450 s.f. sloppily tied into the steep slope of the original house. The valley it created had been a source of "traveling" leaks within a year of being built. He fully explained his best recommendations in person, then followed up in about 2 business days by e-mailing an estimate for removing all the old shingles and tarred patchwork, replacing 2 sheets of decking, then installing a torch-down modified bitumen roof tied into the old roof, sealing up the "valley," and removing all debris from my property. He was able to get me on his schedule within 2 weeks, estimated the work to take about 1-1/2 days, promptly showed up and finished on time, despite having to replace 5 sheets of decking (instead of two) and some studs as well. He showed me pictures taken as the repairs progressed, walked me around on the roof to inspect the work as well and answered all my questions. It was flawless. And the real test came with all the rain we had yesterday (5/21)--NO LEAKS! He billed me after the project was completed, adding only the cost of the extra 3 sheets of decking to the estimate. Rick is respectful, explains without "talking down" and is professional all the way. Not only did he repair my problem, he gave me peace of mind!

Called to request appointment to address leak in our metal roof. Was advised they were backed up approx 1 week due to the heavy rain and prior service calls and given the option to contact someone else. Chose to wait a week and was not disappointed. Rick Devries arrived a week later at the scheduled time, checked the area leaking, suggested a course of action and price, and we scheduled a day for the repair. Despite the continuing rain, Rick arrived on schedule, identified the problem (leaking pipe collar and flange) and while he was up there, caulked some potentially troublesome flashing around the chimney, and also calked around two other pipes penetrating the roof. He then installed a copper gutter splash guard (custom job) and adjusted downspout. Afterwards, Rick showed me what he had done from photos taken on his cellphone. Rick is a stand up guy with many years of experience (it shows), was able to identify the problem quickly, and effect repairs. He told me what he was going to do, and did it, and then performed repairs to problem areas that he saw while he was up on the roof, fashioned a gutter splash guard and adjusted the downspout which I asked about as an afterthought - probably delaying his already busy day. And all for the originally quoted price. I could not have been more pleased.

I called this roofing company after another roofing company I had called never showed up for an appointment. I told the person who answered the phone what had happened. She assured me that this company would definitely call me if not that day, the next day. That never happened. I usually just move on, but was incensed that it happened a second time. So I called and left a message on their voicemail that I would be reporting my dissapointment to Angie's list. Rick DeVries called me back within a 1/2 hour. He said that he was just now getting my message from the other day and was returning my call, but I wonder if he would have bothered if I hadn't just called and left a message about reporting it to Angie's list. With that said, he said he would come out to the house that day and look at the roof, and he did. He gave me an estimate and said he could possibly make the repair that evening (Thurs), and if not, then no later than Monday. The price was good (and I had originally gotten his name from Angie's list), and I was pleased he had come out that evening so I gave the OK. He never showed up. Finally on Wednesday of the next week, I called him. He gave a song and dance about how he had gotten backed up because of rain and there was nothing he could have done about it. Well, he could have called and let me (and his other customers) know. I had no idea if he planned on coming out to the house or not. He went on to say that he would make the repair either today (wednesday) or by Friday. He finally made the repair on Thursday. I guess I feel as though my repair was put off simply because it was not a big job and he wanted to get the bigger jobs done and paid for.

Rick was a blessing. To check out my leak he went into the attic without me having to ask, checked out what I thought was a hole in my roof and looked at my ridge vent, then he climbed up on the roof. Talk about feeling like a valued customer and not just a sale - Rick is a very humble guy and has my business. His price was about $50 more than tri-county roofing, but that extra 50 was worth the feelling I had of being in good hands - compared to tri-county who told me my problem at the front door and would not go up in the attic to look at my problem. About a month later and the roof has not leaked once.

I called East Coast (Rick Devries) and he came out to inspect the roof where he found a nail sticking up that had not been removed and sealed from the time the roof was installed. He also noted that a section of flashing was not installed properly. He provided a very reasonable estimate to patch the nail hole and repair the flashing. From the time of the initial call to completion of the project was about a week. Rick was very friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to use his services again or to recommend him to others.

East Coast Roofing provided the least expensive estimate of the three contractors we contacted. The company owner, Mr. Rick DeVries, arrived promptly to survey the job and provide an estimate. He was very professional and knowledgeable and I found his suggestions for dealing with the flat roof portion of the house to be most reasonable. The shingles he recommended for the rest of the roof were high quality 30 year shingles. Other contractors offered lower quality shingles for a higher price. I accepted the East Coast Roofing proposal and scheduled the work. Work began and completed on schedule. The crew did an excellent job of cleaning up after the job was done. I personally inspected the roof after work was complete and found it to be very well done, including the flat portion of the roof. I can recommend East Coast Roofing without hesitation. They did a great job.

.Very serious company and not afraid to take on a repair on an old roof on an 18th century house. Our experience with them was first rate. We had serious time constraints (leaving on vacation) and they came through, finishing the job with little lead time, carving out a place for our job in their busy schedule. Rick, the owner of this company got to us promptly through a variation of email and calls (which I LOVE being able to access via web, email or phone!) and assessed our problem right away. Another WELL KNOWN roofing company had been out to fix our leak TWICE. By the third time, we lost confidence in the first company and cut our losses. Rick pointed out what the ROOT of the problem was and gave us two options, a simple repair that would be good enough and for not much more at all a permanent solution that was optimal. We took the optimal solution and in the midst of torrential rains, we have had no more problems with leaks. This guy and his crew are amazing and we will use them for any future work on this our primary residence and the new roof for our rental. This company has our full faith and confidence. We highly recommend Rick and East Coast.

They were skilled and did a good job. I have not any problems them. They did a fair amount of carpentry. The thing that impressed me the most was the workmanship.

Responded quickly to initial call and request for an appointment. Owner arrived on time and presented information and answered questions concerning his company and work involved. All work completed in two and one half days. Clean-up was very satisfactory. All areas same as before job. Very pleased with results. Owner on site most of the time supervising his crew. Would recomend this company

I called East Coast Roofing and explained my problem to the secretary. Rick called me back that evening to get more information and to arrange an appointment. He called me again maybe 10 minutes before he was to arrive to let me know he was on his way. Rick was prompt and courteous. He fixed the problem quickly at a reasonable price, and discussed his concerns and recommendations. Weeks later I noticed another leak near the first one, so I called him. He came by that evening and fixed it...on the spot, no charge! I hope to replace my roof in the very near future and when I do, I will call Rick DeVries.

Great! Rick contacted me and set up a time to do the work after I received an estimate. He was punctual and completed the work ahead of the date we had set

I called and left a message and Rick called back the next day. I asked for an estimate and he came out a couple of days later. Received the emailed estimate later that night. I asked him to meet with me again and to bring samples. He showed up promptly and answered all my questions. That was a Saturday. I accepted his estimate and he advised he would be back in touch with me late Monday or on Tues to advise when he would be able to complete the job. Monday afternoon he called and comfirmed for Thurs weather permitting. 1st thing Thurs he and his crew began. Roof was completed later that day. Everything was cleaned up. Rick came back Friday to recheck everything. Very satisfied with the service and quality of the work. Would definitely use Low Country again. I have and will recommend him.

The owner performed the service which was very cool. Rarely do you see owners actually doing the work but this guy did it all by himself. He removed shingles/plywood and corrected the framing. He installed new shingles that were a perfect match (he brought samples by and left them with me for several days before the job started). He did a great job all around. My only gripe was there was one day that he was a no show and I didn't get a call but I understood that he was on a roof somewhere and probably couldn't leave. I would recommend this company for any roofing repair.

I called all the companies rated A on Angie's list in my area. At least five roofers gave me estimates. Rick had the best solution and for a good price. He got the estimate and then completed the work ahead of the schedule. I am very pleased with his solution for my roof and the quality of his work. He did great job! Rick was very direct and did not try to sell me into doing more work than I needed. He is exactly what I wanted from a contractor: serious about his work and honest.

Called their office and left a message on their answering machine Friday about noon. I got called back that afternoon by the office assistant. She asked questions and I described the problem. We had a single shingle that had blown loose in the wind and was folded over sideways. Was not leaking but looked bad. It is a steep roof so a professional needed to repair it. She said Rick would me later that day or Saturday. He did call back Monday afternoon which is OK (I don't expect a call on the weekend). Again I described the problem. He said he was busy on a roofing job in another part of town but would finish Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning and could come after that. He said he would call first and I said that was fine because we would be there and it was not an emergency. I never heard from him again and I eventually gave up after about two weeks and called someone else to come out. Not very professional. I don't like to leave negative feedback but folks are paying to learn the good and the bad. Apparently a small job was not worth his time but that attitude is a little short-sighted. Eventually everyone will need a new roof. East Coast Roofing can forget about that future business in my case.

I did my research and homework before committing to a company. It was apparent early that East Coast Roofing specializes in High Quality, Personal Care, and Competitive Pricing. I am very satisfied with the roof (materials and workmanship) that I received. The company is friendly, responsible, punctual, did a wonderful job, and cleaned up after completion. My expectations were actually exceeded. If you are in need of a roof repair or total replacement, I strongly urge you to consider East Coast Roofing. A+++++++.

Went great. The area looked much better and most importantly it didn't leak anymore

I first checked his ratings on Angie's List and then I met with him, and he knew right away what the issue was. He obviously knew what he was doing since he has been in the business for a long time. He was a skilled professional. It took him a while to finish the job. It was a two-step process and he came in and fixed the initial roof problem fairly quickly, but then it took him two weeks to get back and finish the job. It is not like a cosmic damage or anything but I had to call and remind him twice to finish the job so that I could pay the bill.

Rick, the owner, was personable and knowledgble. He explained all my options along with what it would cost. I asked him what he would do if it were his own home and I felt he gave me an honest answer. Their quote was not the cheapest, however, this is my home and i am not looking to be cheap with the roof over my head. I have been in business long enough to know that those who quote too low....do a lowly job. I am absolutely thrilled with the quality of East Coast's work. Rick was in touch with me constantly because of delays due to weather. I always knew when to expect them and when they left for the day. When the job was done, they cleaned up and left my home in much better shape than when they first arrived. This story is why I use Angie's List. I am new to the area and I had no one to recommend a quality roofer. This experience cemented my relationship with both East Coast Roofing and Angie's List. Job well done, both of you!!
