ASCUE ARTISTIC WOOD FLOORS

The floor is now completed. The floor is absolutely beautiful. There is one thing about the floor that is not to my satisfaction. There are several areas on the floor that creek and squeak when I walk on it. I have complained about it to Mr. Ascue, but he is reluctant to try to fix it because it would mean taking up that part of the floor in order to re-secure the sub-floor. I don't know if the nails in those parts of the sub-floor came loose, or if the floor was not level, or if it was not nailed down enough in those areas. There was no attempt to level any areas of the slab before the work began to install the sub-floor. Otherwise, The professionalism was superb and Mr. Ascue was always available to answer questions or consult with me when needed. Julius Ascue did not do the work himself. He had a team of workers, which included his brother Esaw. Esaw Ascue was extremely attentive to my needs and concerns. He always came to work on schedule and provided professional and courteous work. He respected my home and did the work as if it was his own home. Esaw Ascue is a HARDWOOD FLOOR MASTER. No kidding. He did the work quickly and with the ease of someone who absolutely knew what he was doing. Esaw performed "magic" when an incident happened after the job was completed. The hardwood extended into the powder room. A professional plumber came to install the new commode, which he did not do properly. Water was leaking under the floor every time we flushed the toilet! I finally discovered the problem after about two weeks, but it was too late to save that section of the floor. Esaw Ascue took out and replaced the damaged floor, including the sub-floor. He also reinstalled the commode with the proper seals. Something the professional plumber did not do. Esaw Ascue's main objective was to do the job correctly and make me happy. Esaw Ascue also completed the work the painter failed to finish. The risers on the new steps were not finished properly by the painter. It looked very bad. Esaw noticed this when he came to look at my water damaged floor. He offered to fix it. I was delighted he made me that offer. I had to pay him what the painter was supposed to do, but I was happy to have the steps finished. Esaw did a fine job on the steps. I would highly recommend using Esaw Ascue for all wood floor needs as well as other handy work one might need. He goes the extra mile. His phone number is (843) 259-7109. The plumber, whose work ruined my floor, is James Ellis on Mt. Pleasant, SC. He brought his teenage grandchildren in training to do the work. I would never use him again. He did agree to pay for the floor repair. Whether he did or not, I do not know. The Ascue's said they would deal with that. I did spend extra money for plumbing supplies.
