He would not perform the service because he said he didn't do inspections and that he just looks at the plumbing problems Because the work was not completed I am requesting a refund from Angie's List

Went well. No real problems. Tried to sell me something I don't think I needed. They seem to do this just about every time they come. Their prices are extremely high. I will not use them once my maintenance contract expires.

The telephone querie was very good and helpful ARS always do a fabulous job working on our machine, and keep us informed as they go. Good with our animals which always makes us happy. Thank you

He was supposed to come out between 2 and 4, but he didn’t come out until a quarter till 7. I have not heard back from them since.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon for this company. I went fine. They gave me information as how I could use the service on an on-going basis and gave me some rates for that.

I had gotten a date and time frame to have the service done. I was called that AM to say they had an emergency come up and they couldn't come that day. I rescheduled and got another date and time frame. I thought they said the time frame was from 08:00 to 11:00. they called me at 11:00 and told me he was on his way. When I inquired about the time, She told me she said time frame was from 08:00 to 12:00. I guess I didn't hear the 12:00. Tony showed up a few minutes later. He was very pleasant and friendly. I showed him where the toilet was and informed him that the tank started to leak. He informed me that there would be an additional charge to tighten up the tank bolts, and also that h e couldn't change the flapper because it was a bigger flapper than what he had, so I didn't get one. He charged me an extra $89.00, on top of what I paid for on Angie's list, which totaled $138.00 I think that was a little steep just to tighten a couple of bolts!.

At first, the worker recommended either repairing or replacing our HVAC. He told us we had a major leak in our system, were almost out of freon, and disabled part of our system until he could return to give us an official estimate. Upon second evaluation, he recommended we replace the unit for $4800. We told him we were going to get a second opinion and he eventually lowered the price to $4500, then called us back and offered to do it for $4000. He did not want to take "no" for an answer and was difficult to get out of our condo. The second opinion we got was from a company that came highly recommended by a friend, and upon their investigation, the unit did not have a leak, a cap was missing on the outside portion of the unit and only one gallon of freon was actually needed, and the unit only needed an extensive cleaning with replacement in 2-3 years if we have regular yearly maintenance. Even the price quote for replacing each gallon of freon by ARS was double the cost of our second opinion company. I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. I firmly believe you will pay for unnecessary services and at a higher cost and the worker was unprofessional. What could have cost us $4000 plus the evaluation fee ended up costing only ~$100 by the second company.

When ARS calls their name is not displayed on caller ID so my wife will not answer the phone for some obvious reasons. When I called back the answering service took my name and phone number but ARS never called back the next day and claimed it was the fault of the answering service. When I mentioned about the name of the company not being displayed a woman said she was aware of it because they have received numerous complaints regarding that subject but when I suggested that someone in authority at ARS call their phone provider she said, "yeah, whatever". Since I needed service as I have an annual contract for HVAC I booked both an appointment for the semi-annual service and for a plumber to install the inner workings for two toilets. Both windows were between 2 and 5 PM. The next day (today) we received a call from the HVAC technician that he would like to come early if possible and we said yes so he was able to finish by around 2 PM. At 4:30 I still had not heard from the plumber so I called ARS who told me he was finishing a job and would arrive soon. As it turned out they called back in about 5 minutes to say he was on his way and would be here very soon. Once more in about 5 minutes, ARS called back to ask me if I only wanted an estimate or wanted the parts replaced. I told her what I said to someone at ARS yesterday about the parts being replaced and it was only then she said that they do not carry the parts on the truck but would come over to look at the toilet and be back in the morning which was an inconvenient time. In the interim I went on to Angie's List and obtained another plumber and when I called ARS back (it was now 5:15) the plumber still had not arrived. When I told ARS to cancel the call, instead of asking me what was the problem the woman had a one word answer......"fine".....and hung up. For HVAC service I would give them an A+, but for their plumbing service and their office staff I give them an "F"!!

The pricing was way too high. Came out to be $162/hr with the deal. If I knew the prices were going to be this high I would not have went with them.

Came out for a furnace check, service man said I had major problems, within 2 hours salesman was at the door. He was a friendly person, who was needing the sale. I could say he used some high pressure tactics. After I slept on it and got some different quotes, joined Angie's list and looked into BBB reports on this company, Decided to have someone else come check unit, which cost me %175. for Freon and service call. ARS was willing to work with me on financing, which was very much appreciated. When I explained to the salesman everything I found out, he explained a new crew was transferred here to the CHS area to try and regain their business back. I would probably give them another chance.

How'd it go? It was a disastrous mess and still is to this day. I have not used my master bathroom shower for over a year and a half because the repair by ARS was not a repair; nothing was fixed and their work was worthless and a disaster in the job I hired them to do (trusting that they could do it after they told me they could). I have a hole in my family room ceiling now as well. ARS cost me a lot of money in what they charged for absolutely nothing and added additional cost to me because I not only need to fix my shower, but I need my ceiling repaired now, too. ARS came out the first time, to no avail. I called them back a second time. Again, nothing fixed. I paid them $375 to what they said was fixed and it never was fixed. Nothing was even improved in the leak. I would have been grateful if they would have been honest and told me upfront that they could not fix the leak. Instead, they chose to bill me $375 for nothing except causing more damage, and because I am honest, I paid it. Why didn't I call them back a third time, fourth time, etc.? Because they already came out 2 times and enough is enough. I am currently looking for a company to fix the shower and repair the ARS damage in my ceiling. What I have learned is to research companies, choose those who will come out to look at the work needed to be repaired, who will give you an estimate to repair, and then stand behind their work if you choose them. And choose a company who will be upfront with you if they do not have the expertise to fix the problem.

He came out and looked over the system and said that the duck work was OK but did not go under house and that a 13 seer system would be ideal. Skeptical of that I called another company that offered me a 13 seer system for $4500 and found the duct work to in very bad shape with 2 supply ducts completely off main duct laying on ground. Insulation missing on many ducts with several other leeks in system ducting. With this contractor I replaced all ducts and system for $8000. Be careful of ARS.

Let me start by saying that we have used only ARS for the last 7 years for all HVAC needs as they were the installer of our original system. So when our A/C went out after a lightning strike, we called only ARS. Technician identified a bad transformer and proceeded to inform us that "the whole system is probably fried - you should just get a new system". Within 4 hours a sales person was at our house telling us all about the new high SEER systems and quoting $5500-$8000 new systems. One call to another company the next day and our transformer was fixed for $177. Talk about trying to take advantage of a family w/o A/C in summer...even a long-time customer. Will never use ARS again.

Spoke with Joey and worked out financing with a third party with the help of ARS. The next morning the crew showed up and completed the job by 1:00.

Jerry from ARS came out gave an estimate and then returned later in the afternoon to start working. He worked 3 full days with some help on the third day to finis the job. The best part was that the job was completed quickly and professionally.

Service went as normal, but the sales presentation was very high pitch, and uncomfortable. They tried to sell us a high end system, telling us that our system was no good. It's still running fine. 2 years later. I realize that we will need a system some day soon, but why put in a whole new system when the old one is still working fine.

They are a fantastic company. We have been very pleased with them. They take care of any problems you may have. They installed the unit immediately within 24 hours. They were very quick and extremely professional. I cannot say enough about them.

The service has turned out alright. We did have one dispute with them but it was resolved. The service was just average.

The last two times they came out and did absolutely nothing while he was here. I have since switched to a new company and no longer recommend them to anyone. The work they did the last year was just not worth the contract.

They were fine. We used them all of the time and never had any problems with them.

They did a good job. It took them three times to fix the issue. The third time a senior guy came out and quickly fixed the issue. We would use them again.

Adam called prior to his arrival as requested and let us know he would be there in ten minutes, which he beat by two mins. Adam was clean shaven, had a clean overall appearance and presented himself as a confident young man that knows what he is/was to do. Adam was soft spoken, yet to the point. He also let us know that ARS would perform a thourough check of the plumbing in our home, which we declined at this time. We highly recommend Adam F., he is an asset to ARS Rescue Services Thank you Barbara Wilson

In the middle of a very busy day of seeing patients we had a toliet overflow into a waiting room of a Medical practice due to the fact that this is the only bathroom for our patients we needed someone fast called the plumbing company (ARS Rescue Rooter)told them our issue and they had someone at our address very quickly.The plumber sent to us was very clean and neat with his work he took the time to explain the problem and even showed us the issue with the camera.We were given a few different options to fix the problem and did not feel pressured into anything like previous companys that did work for us in the past.The problem was fixed in a timely manner and have not had any problems since.We will continue to use for all plumbing needs and recommed to others.JOB WELL DONE

It was absolutely horrible. They sent a guy that didn't know what he was doing. They told me the part would cost $2000 when the other company I used only charged me a couple hundred. It was ongoing for months so I used someone else. I would never recommend them and I would never call them for any needs.

Tech showed up and preceded to check system. He then gave his assessment that system was low on freon, severely corroded, and too old to repair. He gave me a written receipt and recommended i call their shop to come out give me an estimate on new system. I ask if he could add freon and he said no he could not due to EPA restrictions. I ask if he had determined where the leak was and he said no. I have used them since they did the new house installation 18 yrs ago. They have replaced 3-4 evaporators and one outside unit all out of warranty during the life of the heat pump. This time I decided it may be time for a second opinion and got one from Air Plus off of Angie's list. The tech did a thorough assessment not aware that I had already gotten from ARS. The tech said the system freon levels and general were all ok. I then told him about ARS . He said there is some corrosion but that was to be expected for a system that age. I turned up the thermostat and its been working fine ever since. Am I ever glad I got a second opinion. I am done with ARS. I hate to think what other repairs over the years i had payed for that were not necessary.
