Description of Work: Finally replaced the entire outdoor unit on my main HVAC system. This was only AFTER replacing the compressor TWO times in less than 30 days during Feb/Mar 2014 cold spells. Service workers respond quickly but parts is the problem along with lack of management involvement and sensitivity to customer needs.

Description of Work: They originally came to redeem an Angie's List coupon for a sewer line cleaning. While they were there I had them replace the fill valve assembly in one of my toilets. $138 to install a part that is usually $25 at Lowe's (and he is already there for the coupon so it's not like another service call charge). And the toilet started leaking within 72 hours so they sent another tech out who charged me another $108 to replace the supply line. Why didn't the first guy catch that anyway?

Description of Work: The technician was nice, polite, and seemed to know his trade. However, he had no experience with the Flushmate Pressure Assist Flushing System. On his first visit he determined that the system needed a new flushing cartridge, then on Day 2 he installed the cartridge and then discovered a leak in the system tank and determined that the commode needed a whole new flushing system. At this point I went on-line to the manufacturer's website and discovered that the system has a 10 year warrantee, still in force since initial installation (by ARS) was in 2007. ARS then charged me $250 for labor expended thus far, and departed. When the new system arrives I will hire a company familiar with Flushmate to install it. I will continue to use ARS for Heating & Air maintenance, but do not intend to call them for plumbing jobs.

Description of Work: Checked and fixed toilets. Checked home plumbing. After their visit, I received a higher water bill so I'm having them come back out to check for leaks. They had to reschedule their visit since they had emergencies come up. I was inconvenienced but hopefully they will show up on time for the next visit.

Description of Work: My upstairs AC unit was not working and the ARS worker gave me options of repair or replacement. He thoroughly explained everything, including showing me a diagram of the unit, the problem, the replacement procedure. Due to the unit's age I chose to replace it, but was again given options with clear explanations. I made my decision and signed the paperwork and paid for the unit. A few days later two installers came, asked me to show them where the unit was, told me what they were going to do and got right to work. They finished, showed me how to operate the thermostat, had me sign more paperwork and they left.

Description of Work: This provider I found through Angie's Big Deal. I had problems with my plumbing in the past, and used this deal to check out my place before moving back in. The service technician was prompt, knowledgeable, and fixed the toilet seat in the master bath, and checked the water heater in the basement in the garage. He raised the water levels in all three bathrooms, and made some suggestions on what to be on the look out for in the future. I would definitely use this company again if I run into any further plumbing problems, and would recommend them to friends and co-workers. Ellen H.
