Everything had gone great, and they would call you a half an hour ahead of time and give you a window, which most companies don't do. They give you a heads up and it seems to be service orientated.

It went very well. When I called Home Depot to get a price on the new unit, they use ARS. They were the lowest price I received. I went to two other companies first and their price was the best. The technicians showed up on time and in 4.5 hours, the existing second floor unit, located in the attic, was removed and a new TRANE unit was installed. I got the entire system installed including a new heater. There were about six techs working at once. They were professional, cleaned up the site and explained to me everything they were doing. I would use them again.

They are thorough and reasonably priced. They educate me on what they evaluating when they are here for service.

It was fine until I recieved a quote for R22 freon replacement. The serviceman quoted me $2,100 to add freon to my air-conditioning unit. After my jaw hit the floor, I called my regular Heating and Air Service Company to ask what their price was. It was $200.00 for the same exact service. ARS or American Residential Services, was attempting to charge 10 times what another company was charging. This is one of the worst attempted price gauging I have ever experienced.

They had decent customer service on the phone, they showed up when they said they would, and they were able to answer all of our questions knowledgeably. They were able to complete the job the same day which was nice. The quality of their work was great. Everyone from the people on the phone to the representatives that came to our house was very professional.

On time, came right after I called. Not sure I need freon after he tightned the connectons, but put in 3 pounds at $130 a pound. Would use again

It took almost 3 months for them to realize that something was wired incorrectly. I ran on emergency heat for 3 months and my electric bill was over $400/month. The entire process was ludicrous!!!! They made at least 8 or 9 visits. Warning...run. Do not use this company.

Without opening the cover of the water heater, the technician tried to convince us the unit was bad and should be replaced. The company has had a bad experiences with Bosch hot water heaters and he, the technician, didn't want to charge me for any diagnostic work as he knew it would not do any good. But, he could replace our tankless water heater with a $2900 unit that he would discount to $2200 if we did it that day. End story, all we got was a sales pitch.

Poorly! 48 hours to unclog drain and 5 days to make repairs. Communication was non existant. 12 hours after initial call and no service personnel on site, had to call company to verifiy they were going to come out ... representative told me they would call me 30 minutes before service personnel would arrive. Service personnel arrived after dark and stated they could not work on clogged drain until daylight and could come back next day. By noon next day, called service representative to inquire when service personnel would be coming ... I was informed they would call me 30 minutes before service personnel would arrive. service personnel arrived after 2PM ... did initial drain unclogging ... and said they would have to schedule me for repair work to be done later in the week. 3 days later had to call service representative to inquire when work would be done. Was informed they would call me 30 minutes prior to service personnel arrival. Repair work done 5 days after initial call for assistance. Company did not communicate with me or keep me informed about anticipated arrival ... only called 30-45 minutes prior to service personnel arrival. Company did not seem concerned or appreciate the opportunity to have me business. Will not recommend nor use them again!

They do good work but their customer relations has slipped.

They have met all of my needs. They fixed the problem free of charge. They do plumbing work also. They ran the main sewer line off to the road and that was a good job.

I am pretty happy with them. There are no surprises. I have recommended them to other people. They explained to me that it would be cheaper if I signed a service contract. I also received a $30.00 off coupon from them which made it even better. They give you a window of time that they will be there, and they are always there in that window. It is normally like a 3-4 hour window, and I would like something more precise. They call if they need to re-schedule due to an emergency situation. I have dealt with a lot of heating and A/C companies, and they are probably the best overall. Their prices are extremely competetive.

I would highly recommend them to other people. They came out on a warranty service call and I didn't have to spend anything. They came out on a Sunday. I didn't even want them to come out on a Sunday because it wasn't that critical and they still sent someone. I have been using their services for fourteen months. They had worked out a good proposal for the units. However, the units that I had paid for were not available on the day they installed them. They upgraded me to the next higher one without charging me anymore and there wasn't even a suggestion that they would charge me more. They just did it and that was impressive. They were very prompt and very professional.

They were on time. They pointed out some other problems that I had.

The project went very well from the salesman arriving on time, providing answers to all my questions, to providing the best price of the 4 quotes, to the prompt arrival on the day of installation. The installers were polite, neat, cleaned up after themselves, and their supervisor stopped by to make sure all was going well. The electrician (a contractor) was also polite, and came back the next day when a thunderstorm made it impossible to finish his work. ARS scheduled the city inspector, who praised the work of ARS as well. I could not have had a better experience.

When you call, they will have someone out within an hour. We had three other plumbers come out who were unable to fix the problem, so we called ARS on a whim. They responded very quickly, got the work done, and did it correctly. We have had them out several times since then--we did have one technician from them who we were unhappy with, but when we called they sent someone else out the same day who did the job perfectly, and refunded the fee. We appreciated that they made it right, and we have been very happy with them.

The service call was fine and I actually tried to use them again. However, when I called back to request help on a different issue, I reached a centralized calling department that is nowhere near here and it was going to be 10 days to get someone out to look at my unit. Needless to say, I found someone else to help me and they lost a customer. Now I am getting up to 5 phone calls a day from ARS! (This is legal since I have done business with them in the past.) Most I let go to answering machine (no msg), but I've tried to answer the last few so that I could be put on their DNC list. There has been no answer at any time. I called that number back, and the answer was, "It's a great day at ARS!" I asked to be put on the DNC list, the woman answered, "OK" and hung up without taking any information. Maybe she planned to just use caller ID to acquiesce to my request, but I'm not holding my breath.

It went as contracted originally. The employees were professional in their approach to the work they did. They were competitive with their price.

They were wonderful. The original sales person we got the original quote from was not available and Mike Goldberg personally answered our questions and came to our home to walk through and give us his best recommendations. We believe we got the most efficient system at the best price. A whole team of installers, checkers, etc., did a professional and wonderful job over two days to get the systems installed. It is as quiet and as effective as Mike promised. We are pleased with the product and the service.

Our AC went out over a weekend and we called ARS. They came out first thing Monday morning and determined that the fan needed to be replaced. They needed to order the part and couldn't get it until Wednesday or Thursday. They came out as soon as they got the part and our AC works great again.

They came over very fast. They told what me it did so that two weeks later if it happened again and I could fix it myself. They were very courteous when they were working.

They have always been very responsive and they have good prices as well. I have been using their services on and off for the last ten years now.

I had been having problems with my unit leaking freeon. Once a year for the past 3 or 4 I would call and get more freeon added. Last year and this year it was the worse so I decided to get it fixed or get a new unit. I called and got quotes from about 5 companies about fixing or replacing. The fixing was half the cost. They were the last company to come in. Was able to get financing through a hardware store since they were a company on their installation services team. They were the least expensive in price but pretty close to the other 4 companies. The other 4 companies were from Angie's List. They were able to install the unit in a weeks time and on a Saturday. Said it would take from 8-5 p.m. They were finished by 1 p.m. The other service person came and installed the thermostat and check the installation. It was done by 3 p.m. The only negative was that I had to follow up with them about scheduling the city inspector to come out. This occurred about a month after the unit was installed. Once I called he came out the next day and was gone in 10 minutes. I liked the fact that this was not an emergency call but in the summer they were able to give me an estimate in a short amount of time and were able to do the job as well in a short amount of time.

From beginning to end was a dream. They made it totally stress free. Great communication. Anytime of day some answered the phone and I was promptly taken care of. My A/C finally died on a Sunday and 2 different people called me back. I was on the schedule for the next day. They are so well organized and very professional. I had many estimates done since I knew my system was on the way out. They were by far the least expensive. I had one of the "big" A/C companies also give me a quote and it was about $13,000 for the exact same system. The only difference was it was their brand, not Trane like I got. It was like having a used car salesman at my house, he was so pushy. It's unbelievable how bad you can get ripped off if you don't do your homework. I hope my leg work helps make your decision easier. These guys are the best to work with!

We bought a service contract from them so they will come back out in the fall. The price includes the contract. The technician, Barry, was really good and took time to explain the system to me and how it differed from a heat pump.
