Description of Work: We have used this company for almost 3 1/2 years to perform bi annual cleanings and checks on our heating and cooling systems. We have a 2 zone house, and we used this company two years ago to replace the second floor indoor and outdoor units. The equipment works fine, and the warranty was exceptional (10 years parts and service). The techs did have to put in a second air return, but did that at no additional cost. There was a communications problem back in June, when we called with a slight service problem, and the rep could not locate our service contract, but that was quickly resolved. Our only real problem has been with responsiveness to a recent problem. On a routine maintenance visit, the service tech, unbeknown to him, hit duct work (in a tight attic space) and knocked it loose. We discovered this when we realized there was water damage on the guest room ceiling in two long stripes. We promptly called ARS and were directed to a service manager. We left a detailed message on his voice mail, expecting a return call within the week. This did not happen. It was almost two months, with many phone calls, before the service manager made an appointment and came to survey the damages. He apologized for the delay, blaming it on the new dispatch system. However, we had left our messages on his voice mail, not with a general operator. The manager, BJ, told us he would contact the painting contractor who does the work for ARS and he would contact us. Almost three weeks went by before we heard from anyone, after leaving messages on BJ's voice mail several times. Two more weeks went by, then the painter, Eddie, called us to schedule the appointment. He came out, photographed and measured the damage, and left, saying he had to contact the company to get his price approved. Apparently, BJ's visit here had accomplished nothing! Luckily, the painter was on the ball, and called us a few days later to say that ARS had approved him doing the work, and he came out two days later. He repaired, primed, and painted the ceiling, doing a very good job. I would highly recommend Eddie, the ARS painting contractor. We are not happy with the overall response only because of the lack of communication from the service manager. His lack of response, and then follow through, was very unprofessional. Luckily, the company in general is not like that, at least not in our experience .
