First visit, the repair technician told me that I needed to buy a new filter to fix my ice maker even though I replace it 2 months earlier. On the second visit the repair technician told us that our model was cheap and that the ice maker could not be repaired. He leveled the frig then charged me 278.00. The company is trying to bill me another $278.00 for the call back. Please trust the negative reviews, do not call A&E Factory Services LLC.

Scheduled through Sears repair online. Shocked that I had to wait 11 days for an appointment, but trusted Sears so scheduled anyway. Day of, had to take 1/2 day off work to be there for the 4-hour window. I arrived home 15 minutes before window and emptied fridge to make it easier for repairman to roll it out. Got a text that tech was on way. So excited to finally be getting it repaired. 45 minutes later, went out to get mail and saw a note on the door that they had just missed me. NOT POSSIBLE. I was right there waiting. Door bell never rang. I called the tech within 5 minutes of the time he left the note and got voicemail. Left message that I was there to please come back. No response. Shortly after, I called the 800 number to have them send the tech back. They promised they would. I waited until the 4-hour window was passed, then called cust service (call 2). Was told I had missed my opportunity and next appointment was 15 days out. Asked for a manager and was transferred from India to US customer service. Was told they were trying calling to get the tech back out this evening. No response. Called again. Same promise. No response. Called again and spoke with manager who was at least friendly. Promised that they were contacting tech and getting him back out 1st thing in the morning and to call them if he didn't call me or arrive. Next morning, got a strange email asking me to call the 800 number again to reschedule. Call 6 to cust service, was told nothing they could do; asked for manager's manager and he told me so sad, too bad, see you in 15 days. I refused the appointment and hung up. Got a text confirming the appointment 15 days away. Texted back that I did not need their service. Joined angieslist and found a reputable service company. Called them and had a very pleasant exchange. They are working around my work schedule and will come in 2 days. Wish I had joined angieslist sooner and seen what horrible ratings A&E already had. Shame on you Sears, for letting these people represent you!!!

Repairman never showed. Third attempt at repair. Poor customer care, if any at all. A and E does not take responsibility for service. Window of arrival 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.. They claim you can call on day of service scheduled and get an idea when repairman will arrive but that is not true. They continue to say he will arrive between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Yesterday i checked at 1 p.m. and was told that he would be there a 2 p.m. At 3:30, I called and answer was that he was overbooked and that I had to reschedule for an appointment in two weeks. They NEVER called me. Poor service if any service at all.
Description of Work: . This was third attempt at repair. Repairman did not show during 8 am. to 5 p.m. window. "Overbooked". They never called me; I called them. Have to wait weeks for next attempt. Accordingly, "repair" is taking months if at all.

A&E fixed a dryer belt on a Samsung dryer I have. They showed up when they said they would and called on the way to the house. The technician did the work in a timely fashion and had the part on his truck. The work was done well and I would call them again for future appliance needs.

Repairman arrived as scheduled after calling ahead to let me know he'd be here in about half an hour. He diagnosed the problem but had to order a new part which was not available on the truck or locally. Return appointment was also prompt and again the repairman called ahead. Repair was effective. I'm surprised others have had problems with appointments--the company seemed to go out of their way to make sure they kept me informed and arrived on time. I am completely satisfied with their work and would use them again.

Called on 4/12/12 and spoke with Denise and scheduled an appt for 4/25/12 earliest appt for service for our Kenmore refrigerator. Called on 4/24 to check since we had not heard from anyone. Spoke with Ashley, she said it had been cancelled on 4/21 'someone called and cancelled said it was too expensive'. Never called, never was quoted a price. Rescheduled for 5/1. Received an automated call later that same day for appt on 4/25. Called and spoke with Anna, she said she did not see any cancellation for 4/25. confirmed appt with her, gave her all three phone numbers. She put in computer for tech to call in morning and confirm. Checked with her three times, because as I told her I couldn't afford to take off work on 4/25 and not have them show up. No call today in the morning. Called and spoke with Aisha, she said no appt sched for today, 'scheduled for May 1". Asked to speak with supervisor, was put on hold for 7 minutes then cut off. Called back spoke to Annie, she transferred me (after 5 minutes) to Shawn a supervisor. He said he saw the appt for 4/25 and one for 5/1. could see the name of the assigned tech for today's appt, will call and find out when he might be out. came back and said 'the appt today was cancelled on 4/21 'because many of the techs are sick'. how could they know on 4/21 who would be sick on 4/25? asked him why he saw it scheduled on the screen and now it was cancelled on 4/21. said all he can do is scheduling cannot do anything else. asked to be transferred to customer service, he put me on hold then cut off. I would never ever call these people again for anything.

Amana made the appointment for me on Wednesday, May 26th after speaking to me regarding the oven not heating, Aand E Factory Services agreed to the appointment on Friday, May 28th between 1-5 p.m., Aand E Factory Services called Thursday evening and left a message confirming the appointment for Friday. I took the whole day off on Friday so that I would be home to wait for them. They had both my home number and my cell number as well as I had called Friday morning to make sure they had my cell, yet again they confirmed the appointment. On Friday at 2:42 they called and left a message on my home phone since I had stepped out stating that they were not coming out as the technican was "overbooked". I called them to find out what was going on and was informed too bad but the tech was "overbooked". When I questioned the young lady who answered the phone for a better response she just kept repearing the tech was "overbooked". I explained that 3 times Aand E Factory Services had confirmed the appointment but she could have cared less. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was put on hold for quite a while, when she came back she informed me that the supervisor was in a meeting and would I like to speak to someone "just" above her, I agreed to that. The person, Nick, I spoke to had an attitude and treated me like I was an idiot. I tried to explain that I had taken the day off work to wait for Aand E Factory Services and really thought this was unacceptable. The first young lady told me the earliest they could re-schedule was June 11th, Nick stated that he could make an appointment for me for June 1st. When I asked if he would guarantee the appointment he could/would not so I asked if it could happen again that the tech was "overbooked" and he stated yes. I told him to forget making the appointment then. His attitude was nasty and surly. I would never use Aand E Factory Services again. I called Amana and told them that if this was who they recommended for warranty work I would never bother purchasing another product from them. The woman I spoke with at Amana then made another appointment with a different company which has worked out perfectly.

Expensive bottom-freezer refrigerator no longer under warranty (except for major sealed systems), and local appliance store from whom we'd purchased is no longer in business, so we called manufacturer (Amana, now part of Maytag) for advice on best way to arrange for service. They actually made the appointment for Aand E to come 2 days later for service. Aand E phoned us directly the evening before scheduled visit to reconfirm; we had 4-hour window, from 1 - 5pm. Service man phoned at 2:30 to say we were next on his list and he'd be there in 15 minutes, which he was. Very professional and polite, took one look inside back of freezer and told us it was a failed part and he could fix easily, which he proceeded to do. Took him about 15 minutes to replace the part, then he spent another 15 minutes thawing accumulated frost from coils behind the back panel (which he'd removed) inside bottom freezer compartment. Cleaned up inside and around freezer, very neat. Well worth the total cost of $248 (replacement part cost $46; the rest was labor and tax). Not a high price to pay in NYC for someone to come when expected and do the job well with no fuss and no mess.

This was a major recall safety issue. Appnt made for 9/4/09 1-6pm. Confirmation call indicated appnt for 8-6pm. Company refused to work with us @ scheduling satisfactory time. Had to take ALL day off work. Repairman showed up at 4pm! Requested he put booties on his boots as they were dirty and I had new carpet. He refused and stated he "did not have to deal with this" and turned and left the premises. He was very unprofessional, very obnoxious and it appeared since it was 4pm on a Friday afternoon he simply did not want to do another job that afternoon. I was forced to reschedule with Frigidaire and requested another company do the repairs. THIS IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL REPAIRMAN AND COMPANY I HAVE EVERY DEALT WITH!
