Unfortunately our builder used this company for our landscaping. Early on there were problems. We requested they come roll the sod and they never did. Even after they came back out to sod the rest of the backyard, those areas are now uneven disasters that look terrible with terrible drainage and other areas have gaps between pieces of sod that are inches apart. On top of that, they left the sod scraps and PVC pipes in the uncleared area of our property. As the sod established it became clear a few of the strips were heavily infested with another invasive species of grass or weed. Fast forward to February, it was very clear we had some strips of sod that were not what was agreed upon or purchased. When asked about it, the owner Dave, claimed it was “winter grass and it would die off when it gets warmer.” That was most definitely not true. As it warmed up that “winter grass” exploded and overtook those strips of sod and began to spread. When asked about it again and showing them pictures, Dave said this is a “maintenance problem.” I have a lawn care company for treatments and nothing for broadleaf effects this stuff. He then said you can spot treat it. I asked won’t that kill the Bermuda as well? And seeing as it’s entire strips of sod that’s not exactly spot treating. He ended with well it’s a “maintenance problem” so we aren’t going to do anything about it. While I understand there is typically not a warranty on sod but if bad sod is put down and the issue is brought up to the landscaper, it should be addressed. In addition to all of the issues with the sod, we had paid for trees to be put in. One of the trees was planted at bad angle and one died and had to be replaced. Sadly we found out this spring when the trees were available at several local stores we had been charged a 50% mark up. Long story short...hopefully if you are building a house they don’t use this unprofessional company. If you are looking for a company to do some landscape work, stay far away from them.
